Hope you feel better Peachy. Well, I haven't had just a day at home by self, to recharge, in over a week! Haven't been home for the last three night. So, as it's my 1st day on my RDO's, I did just that. I cancelled my Date tonight, rescheduled, potted around, caught up on housework, researched air tickets, chilled and watched the Olympics. Because I can. :) Ms Foxy

I haven't been on eBay in years as I had been authoring and maintaining my own websites...that said, closed up shop about six months ago just before my move. This week I started listing my carry-over inventory and have been very pleasantly surprised at the result. Another week like this week and I might just take a vacation! The weather has been quite shite here in good 'ol Melbourne so maybe a bit of sun to the north my be in order, who knows? Be well and have fun, ladies and gentlemen...and stay the heck out of the cold! Best... MC

That is about it until the weekend. I wish I could add more sleep to that answer, but it seems lack of such is not of any consequence or concern to my employer. (Until he get's my notice, that is.)

Peachy, hope you'll get well soon! I've been busy at work. New role with new personalities at work, very challenging times. :-P My Director has been very supportive and appreciative of me so I'm feeling on top of the world! :-D Unfortunately, the remuneration leaves much to be desired. MidnightCruisin, good to see you back in the forums. Your absence was felt. ;-) Q, love how you put in so much effort with the kids you are helping. Thumbs up for you! :-D

I still have a few days off and I'm considering painting a bathroom or a bedroom in the blue and white that I did the main living areas in a few weeks ago. It's so refreshing walking into a bright, colourful house in the morning. But maybe not. I'm feeling a bit tender...I pulled a muscle or something around my sciatic nerve 2 weeks ago, and 3 hours of bumpy driving on Monday seems to have aggravated it, so maybe no painting this time at home. Might make some beer instead..

You be well whatever you end up doing. Thanks so much Peony, life can be a pain but I have appreciated the resting up. It's niçe to hear stories of people being valued at work, if not in a monetary way. I can imagine you being good at what you do. :-) I hope you feel better soon Kool. Blue and white sounds so restful. There's always time for a brew. :-)

Secret squirrel birthday plans for Mrs Adelaide.Which when you basically spend all your time with each other makes it quite hard to plan... lol Remembering the exact Tiger Lily cardigan she has looked at 10 times and trying my hand at making a ridiculous cake for her of her favourite cartoon character, it's been a fun filled week. All worth it in the end though and she wont read this thread until Sunday all to late to spoil the surprise. Hi Mrs Adelaide.... lol

Happening here. Have a catch up with a friend tomorrow and a movie date on Sunday. I've been trying to get the house back in order after months of being sick, but the kids need to move out to let me achieve it! Might make a meal plan and actually stick to it instead of throwing all the food out each week. Contemplating what I want to be when I grow up. And I still don't have an answer!

I'm not better I'm afraid, I'm sitting here feeling rather sorry for myself having finally caught what has been going through the family. Grandie was sick for birthday yesterday and asked to go to bed early without cake. He, sick with the flu for several days, and now me with the flu having just got over another bout of a different and it's our 27th Wedding Anniversary. yay peachy

Quoting 'CaliforniaPeachy' Looks like being rewarded is a given for you Midnight, nice one. You be well whatever you end up doing. ...''really love your peaches want to shake your tree.'' Reward is directly proportional to luck and luck is directly proportional to how many times we are willing to try regardless of how many times we fail. Ask Thomas Edison...1000+ patent applications and we ''only'' remember him best for the light bulb? Keep your lights one whilst driving at night... you've a great pair!

And happy birthday Mrs Adelaide. Hope you're feeling heaps better by now Peachy. I not long stepped off a plane in Melbourne after spending a few days in Brisbane. I'm a sales consultant in my spare time so my teamies and I headed to a conference where Brisbane was over run with people wearing purple t shirts. The weather was amazing! Now I'm freezing! Has Victoria always been this cold or has a few days of warm weather spoilt me?

Hope you on the mend soon......sending you lots of warmth and sunshine from Honolulu!!!!! This turning 60 stuff is fabulous!!! Had a fantastic night with family from Toronto at a Luúa in Maui.....500 people singing Happy Birthday was amazing, and all the lovelies who came up after to wish me a HB! Opening all my birthday cards from my RHP friends was such a special reminder of how fortunate I am to have met so many wonderful people. Now enjoying a week with Mr P in Honolulu - so much to see and do - love Mai Tai's! Next Monday back to work and the days of my life..

When I was in 7th grade, our teacher put on a video and told us to take notes. Ten minutes in, she threw the lights on and shouted at Steven Webb Sladki, telling him he wasn't taking notes and he should have been. But the thing was, Steve was taking notes. I saw it. We all saw it. The teacher asked if any of us wanted to stand up for Steve. A few of us choked out a few words of defence but were immediately squashed. Quickly, we were all very silent. Steve was sent to the principal's office. The teacher came back in the room and said something like "See how easy that was?". We were reading "Anne Frank." I started to understand. I just thought now was a good time to share this story. Don't let anyone tell you that what you see with your own eye's isn't happening. Peachy

I am feeling sick in the stomach right now, disgusted with the human race and crying at what they will do to 'win', for if anyone cares. The story, though it is really not about 'me' per se... I started on a page on facebook using my everyday profile until a youngster from my family noticed and liked one of the posts there. Admin was very kind to block them for me. The page was under some flack when I first got there and that was dying out just as I began using a different profile to avoid the eye of any other youngsters on my profile. Admin also offered me me a role on the page which was exciting... Someone though decided though to report that profile and because I couldn't provide official ID for it, I lost that profile and all it's posts, which put an end to several convos I was in the middle of that we wouldn't be allowed to have here. Those convos were never revisited. :-( I'd only been an admin for a day. But after some confusion by page followers, and struggle between us working 'how to' we got me back on, I was one of the admin and posting as Admin (singing as <Deb> to distinguish me so everyone knew where they stood. Since then I've been having a little fun on a page on fb where I wasn't bothering anyone as I posted amusing posts that weren't bothering anyone because that's the way I roll... We went down from high triple digit numbers of people who were apprently drawn to the drama that wasn't around anymore to reaching from the single figures to low double figures and it has mostly been quiet since then... but luckily I don't mind talking to myself and laughing at the stuff I was sharing. A couple of months ago, I get a notification from facebook that my account has been posting spam, so I go through and can see nothing, I've changed my password twice since then. Then I get another notification to check my posts this morning (all mine, all good), along with a notification that the page has been unpublished because of spam!!! Now, while we did have a big rise of new likers over the weekend, that still leaves small numbers to wonder who is ghosting the page. I can see why people prefer to lie and act underhanded. It leaves them with no responsibility to take for the incidental damage they do as wreak havok. And I'm supposed to be the problem around here. Ha! Thanks for nothing coward.

Found myself without a home about six weeks ago. Been moving around and relying on the charity of friends ever since. Tomorrow I am looking to get the keys to a small apartment in Parramatta, putting that period to an end. Technically it's a flat-share, but I will have the master room with my own ensuite, and can setup a small kitchenette with my bar fridge and microwave, so I can treat it like a studio apartment inside a bigger apartment. Looking forward to having my own space, some damn privacy (nobody should have to wear clothing inside their own house, nobody I say!), and being able to have a fixed postal address. S.

We've just had freedom from guests living here for over 2 years. And the clothes!? I had to get dressed everytime I moved around the house. They are much happier now and so are we. Sherlock, glad that you now have your little pad. Nothing more liberating than that. It makes one feel human again! ;) Peachy, guests for TWO YEARS?! Whoa! You guys must be generous, magnanimous and very long-suffering! I move around my bachelorette pad dressed / undressed / partially dressed... anything goes! My cat has learnt to look away when he disapproves! LOL! Koolgrey, not to be materialistic but having suffered from a skinny, emaciated piggy bank for a good few years, freedom for me means the ability to breathe freely without the crushing weight of rent, bills and provisions stifling the life out of me! The terrible stress of living hand-to-mouth month after month is like living with a ball-and-chain. So glad I can put that awful period behind me now. =D

I know, right Peony, I can't tell you how exciting it is to finlly have the place mostly back to ourselves... we do have one houseguest that looks like they're never leaving home again, hehe but we get the place to ourselves most of the time! We gave that one a bar fridge and microwave for their comfort in their part of the house, lolol. Sherlock's post reminded me so much of that and gave me a good giggle. Very nice to see you again Mr Playful... what a bummer to lose your immediate posting... Maybe if you contact the powers that be? I wouldn't want to be missing out on your input. I hope you get some time to yourself! All work and no play, you know. Haha Freedom My Grey? That could be a topic unto itself couldn't it. I've been mulling it over since last night and have so many ifs, buts, maybes and addendums that could be said.. But for now, I'm totally with Peony considering we're at a more comfortable monetary level after a lifetime of struggle and couldn't be more content with our simple life. It's a good day today, thank God for friends! I feel special and loved. Happy Peachy

I was pretty furious, but that wouldn't have achieved anything, so I tried to just get back to work. Frustrating part is, I'm sitting on a goldmine of a place, penthouse apartment right near the train station in the city area where I'm looking to live in. The current leasee is looking to sublet the place, and she likes me a lot. Only problem is, I can only afford one room, and she wants to sublet out the place as a whole, which is two rooms, not one. Hmmm.... who'd want to invest in a Penthouse apartment for classy RHP events in Western Sydney? Bahahah! - Posted from rhpmobile

the only interest in that other page for almost as long as it existed was to hear/see the airing of dirty laundry behind a few people's interactions, as told by one person. That isn't there any more, so... you wouldn't expect the same level of interest. If masterchef became a show about calligraphy instruction, but retained the masterchef name, you wouldn't expect the same viewers to stick around, would you? They're there for the content, not the title. That's why I haven't looked at it in a long time (except a quick look just after reading your post) I think you might be seeing shadowy conspirators where there are none, only the algorithm of a machine. If I were a machine, looking at what has been posted on the page lately I might think it were spam or just some site auto-posting stuff. IMO the lack of engagement from others with any of those posts is what got it flagged as possible spam (particularly since the content doesn't really relate to the rhp forums... amusingly, those topics posted would seem to be off-topic)
