Love Cock gene?

December 25 2014

It's been recently discovered, that theres genes calling the shot in regards to loving man :)If a guy has this, it will make him gay.But I've met few genuinely str8 blokes who just like playing with a cocks. They are not attracted to man but cocks do. (well seeing he got hard whilst sucking me tells me his liking it :))So does that mean theres also "Love Cock Gene"? lolIf that's the case could there be a gay guy who doesn't like cock???

Huh? IF they're playing with your cock....... they're hardly "genuinely straight". Whether a gene has anything to do with that.... I shall leave for the genetics boffins. DG

Yes there are gay men who may not like to suck cock, or have their cock sucked, or they don't like anal sex, etc etc. Everyone is an individual with different likes and dislikes.

gay men who choose not to be sexually active, there are many people gay or otherwise who choose this...sometimes for a short time, sometimes for a lifetime....it has got nothing to do with sexual orientation it is a lifestyle choice xxFreya

Ah yes, the old nature versus nurture debate. It's a debate that can be interesting, the first few times someone encounters it, and kind-of turns into "Fords are better than Holdens," "OMG no way, my Commodore shits on your Falcon" at some point. There are also claims of this-or-that gene, or the results of this-or-that study, making groundbreaking advances for either the genetic predisposition or the learned behaviour "sides." Often the information comes from a tabloid-style write-up by a third party about the results of a single study, in isolation. It can make for interesting food for thought but I wouldn't go chiseling the results into stone, as there will be more studies in similar conditions unable to replicate the results before too long. Besides, how many geneticists and other brilliant minds are looking at the genetics of male-male fellatio behaviour? Since scientists struggle to have the most important kinds of research funded, and spend a decade trying to make headway(*) on a single problem, would the genetics of cock sucking be a priority? I would think eyes are glued to the microscopes looking for cures to hereditary diseases and cancers. Or at least, I hope they are! The last point I'll labour is that research is usually funded by a party that is going to ultimately benefit financially from the anticipated results. So, pharmaceutical companies might fund promising research into isolating the gene that causes Problem X, in the hopes of getting the patent on Vaccine Y and making squillions. There's not a lot of money in male-male love, or male-male fellatio genetics. I'm glad of that, because I don't think homosexuality should be seen as a problem or disease that could be "cured." If genetic causes could be isolated, theoretically a therapy could be developed that would counter it, after many years and many millions of dollars of research. Now there's an ethical can of worms that deserves its own thread. While the WHY of something is interesting, sometimes it isn't always possible to isolate. Then it's time just to deal with the IS, the reality of something. Some men love other men, some men don't love other men but just enjoy oral sex with them. Why is that? Dunno. But it is. And it sure is! Woohoo! * couldn't resist, I'm a bad man

I don't see the OP saying anything about "3 genes"? gianniz, these guys who like cocks but not the men attached don't have to be gay of course, but I do believe they are at least heteroflexible.

I started a thread on this two months ago. I followed it up with research only to discover that it is just bad media interpreting a study indicating that there is a correlation between inheritance and homosexuality. There was no genetic sequencing done, or any genes identified, the correlation does not provide proof in any way that it is something to do with the DNA as there could be a wide variety of reasons, apart from genetic, some of which may be unknown at this time. Many other searches for actual genetic markers that would indicate a propensity for homosexuality have all have come up empty handed. If such genes (for Homosexuality, Bisexuality, Heterosexuality, and any other sexual tendencies) where discovered it would allow, parents to select the sexuality of their children and may well be a nail in the coffin for sexual diversity. We will never be able to stop such research, we should all hope that if ever such things are discovered our society is mature enough to use that information wisely. Sexuality is very complex, I doubt that we will ever find a single cause for the variety of human sexuality
