Lube Help.

May 02 2016

G'Day fellow sexy people out there, new to this but enjoying the reading, lots of learning ahead for me. My question is, different lubes that are being used. What is a good brand? Do people like the water based ones? Do you get them online? The reason for my question is i have tried different types of water based lube and find that some just dont work. I also had one that sort of gave me a slight burning sensation. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Please would like to hear from Men as well as women on this subject please.

Burning is often caused by the PH of the lube being different to that of the vagina / anus. We have used Wet Stuff (water based) and organic coconut oil , both with good success and no adverse side effects / irritations - Posted from rhpmobile

I like silicone lubes - whether it's a thicker lube like pjur, wet stuff, bodyglide or a thinner one like swiss navy, they feel great - slippery and none of the gloopy feeling from water based lubes. But... silicone lube isn't good for silicone toys. Are there any good water based lubes that don't have that feeling? the JO H20 lube feels nice at first, and it never goes tacky like the awful old KY - but it still feels gluggy n yuck after a while. Water based pjur lube was a bit better (though super expensive) but still gets a bit thicker and like you've had syrup poured on you. Have yet to try the coconut oil.

Summer I think recommended a good water based lube, can't remember what that was called. I don't use lubes, prefer grapeseed oil. Yet to try almond oil but either of those are a great option, last for ages, better than lubes in my experience but each to their own

this topic with interest. lots of allergies here and my go to lube has just started to react with me too which is frustrating. I like coconut oil (with latex free condoms as it breaks down latex condoms) but its stains :/

Well ITM2 put us on to grapeseed oil, and I have to say it was the greatest tip I have had since joining RHP. Grapeseed oil is the best lube we have ever used. Thank you I TOUCH!

I cant use flavoured lubes, they irritate me. The cheapies that you get at the supermarket, like ky etc, are too sticky and just feel yuk after using the better brands like pjur and jo (S_Ontheloose sounds like he has tried them all.) they are expensive but you only need a very small amount so it works out the same as using more of the cheap crap. But Ive been using organic coconut oil since last year. People were raving about it on an old forum topic. So I went and got a huge jar from woolies, in the health food section, and have thrown out all my lubes. I love it. Great for any occasion or orifice. 😄 Smooth and thin, just glides. Everyone I have used it with have loved it. But if you dont like coconut flavour or smell, you wont like it. Its similar to grapeseed oil. (I went and bought some after ITM2 raved about it. So I would recomend either( but I love the smell of coconut, so I usethat more. As far as toys and condoms go, it takes a while for any oil to cut through a condom. Generally the job is done and dusted before any erosion happens. And wash your toys straight after use, not a day later, and they will be fine. Well mine are all fine and Im using the oils all the time.😎

Quoting 'social_suicide' Well ITM2 put us on to grapeseed oil, and I have to say it was the greatest tip I have had since joining RHP. Grapeseed oil is the best lube we have ever used. Thank you I TOUCH! Really? I'm so happy you like it. I'd never use lube again, oil as you'd know, lasts and is nice and slippery for anal. And I don't know if women are aware, but it actually does promote natural juices to ooze. I'm almost pre-menopausal I suppose, have no problem with natural juices and obviously as a squirter, flood the place, but that's with company. On my own, I find it hard to get enough juicy happening to get started, so just put a small bit of oil on, rub it over the pussy, get the porn going, and within seconds, the natural juices seem to start coming through. It's incredible and it allows me to crank up the bullet straight away having that lubrication there. Repeating myself I'm sure but I was hoping you'd like it. Awesome

are the coconut or grapeseed oils easily washed out or do they stain? Also, if they get on the carpet are they a PITA - thats one thing that sucks about silicone, if it gets on the carpet you've got a slippery spot for life it seems like.

Yes...as with any oil it will stain. But it washes out in a hot wash. I treat the stains with a solution of washing up liquid and hot water first. I buy jars of the stuff.....one for my lube, one for cooking and one for my hair oil and facial moisturiser. Oh and its perfect for erotic massages!

Thats exactly what my problem is, also being a squirter how do you overcome the issue of wetting the bed apart from all the towels. Im also in search for some ideas :) Again thanks to all for your responses STAY HORNY! Hi, I'm sorry, I haven't had time to check back in here so didn't see your comment. Firstly, grapeseed oil you can buy in the supermarket, it's just another type of oil you can cook with. I'm not sure if you have a Coles or Woolworths but even smaller supermarkets might have it. I bought mine in large glass bottles - 1 Litre and the brand is Monini, any brand would be fine I'm sure. Now for the squirting vs mess issue, I don't squirt when solo, I have clit to brain orgasms, so to prevent myself squirting, I limit internal or g/spot stimulation, only put my fingers in to tease the gspot a few times, but then rub around and inside the outer area, under and next to the clit, until I'm swollen and the clit can take full on stimulation, I use a small bullet vibe and for this last stage, get really vigorous, pull my legs right back up, and the orgasm starts at the clit obviously, then sets off all the chemical stuff in that area, up through my abdomen, rushes all the way up to my brain. Muscle spasms and all that but it's really intense and involves mind control or being able to release the brain, hard to explain, but at the same time. It took me a long time to learn how to do this and not many women can, from my understanding. It can be painful if it's not times right or I get there too quick. I scream, ask any of my neighbours, they all know what I'm up to lol But if I let myself squirt earlier and have the vaginal orgasm, I can still get to this other one, but the orgasm is not on the same scale. The trick is to do it mostly externally. It's unbelievable, was life changing for me and happened by accident the first time, I thought my brain was going to explode. So anyway, sorry for the book length explanation. That's why I don't need to worry about the mess, when I'm solo. With guys, a whole different story, we practically need an ark. But, I found this. Go to Spotlight next time you're in the city or whatever, or get someone to do it for you. They have outdoor tablecloth fabric which is completely waterproof on one side, felt on the other. They have it on huge rolls, so you can cut to length the size you want. I cut off two huge sections, big enough to cover my queen size bed. Felt side down obviously, I then cover with a mattress protector, sheets and sometimes extra towels to help absorb some because so much comes out of me, depending on how talented the guy is, but always messy to some degree. I never take it off, strip everything else off and wash, wipe the waterproof layer over and leave it to air dry. Don't waste your time with supposed waterproof mattress protectors, they aren't waterproof. Not if you're a big squirter. But this stuff will stop it completely. I have a spare if I need it but they've lasted for over a year now. Also handy if you're staying in accommodation and worried about wrecking the mattress, or caravan, you can take it with you

I really dislike coconut oil, makes me gag and notthe fun type. Maybe jojoba would be better for oill lovers that are worried about stains. It comes out easier. But I think a recommendation would depend on what you are using it for. Vaginal / anal / with toys / with condoms.

I also hate the smell/flavour of coconut oil. Grapeseed is natural and I've never had any issues, it can be used for anything. I'm still wanting to try almond oil which I would imagine, should taste good. My current bottle is almost empty so I'll give that a try next. Is jojoba oil perfumed or scented at all? That would be something I'd be cautious of but just a thought. I've never used it

Health food shops or the health food sections in the supermarket. I saturate my hair in coconut oil an hour before washing it. It leaves it looking glossy and shining. Its not to everyones taste but personally I love the subtle aroma xx

From wiki: "This oil is rare in that it is an extremely long (C36–C46) straight-chain wax ester and not atriglyceride, making jojoba and its derivative jojoba esters more similar to human sebum and whale oil than to traditional vegetable oils.Jojoba oil is interesting for the industry because it is odorless and it has a viscosity which is temperature-independent. Applications vary from engine lubricating oil to cooking oil. Jojoba wax is used predominantly for pharmaceutical compounds, specially for skin products" I think 'engine' is a euphemism

Thanks. I just read a bit about it and it does sound great. For me, the cost would be a factor, it otherwise does sound really good. Interesting the other information that jumped out at me while I was there. Apparently all oils break down latex, so aren't ideal for use with condoms or latex toys BUT it depends how long it's there for. For me, I don't need lubricant with a guy for the pussy, only anal. By the time he gets in there, lots of other play has happened, it's all over pretty fast. And with the oils or lubes, I think it's a matter of finding something that works for us. I started using grapeseed oil after watching squirting videos on porn, instructional vids where the guys were emphasising keeping lubication up. They used grapeseed oil liberally, and recommended it. I've never had a problem with it and it's cheap, so I'll probably stick to what I know. It's good however to hear different options for people to try. I do use it solo as I said in my other post but again, it's only there for 5-10 minutes and I'm done. The different suggestions and thoughts on this subject have enlightened me along the way. Where I would have been inclined to take grapeseed oil with me to a party, now I'm not so sure. In any situation where there could be more extended play with latex, I think it pays to be safe and not use the oil or at least be aware and make that decision based on the encounter/gathering.

Yeah I think just in the normal section where the other oils are, it's used for cooking, we've just found another use for it lol this bottle has lasted me so long, a little bit goes a long way, but I think I found it with the other cooking oils. Wonder if they have an 'extra virgin' variety hmm nah too late now 😜

Yes Im a coconut oil fan. You can buy those small travel sized plastic bottles from the chemist. And some shops are now selling coconut oil in a small spray dispenser, even woolies have it. The brand is Redwin and its 100% organic coconut oil Its just as good as expensive moroccan oil for your hair. In cooler weather it will solidify and looks like lard but a 10 second zap in micro wave or placed in hot water will melt it quickly.

I love the way the silicone lube makes my hands slip off the steering when when I am driving home from a session. I hate all toys so silicone lube for me or the good old BBM! BBM = Broke Back Mountain. I have not seen the film just the clip of the guy spitting on his hand and slapping it on the other guys ass.

I was wondering if this might make it good for travelling (with hand luggage only), if you kept it cool before security it'd be a solid, not liquid. Does it melt back down quickly with body heat?
