Melbourne is a world class, continental modern city that has a melting pot of cultures. There is plenty to do in the CBD during the week and on weekends. Clubs, bars, restaurants, theatre, museums .... The list is endless - Posted from rhpmobile

Bars, clubs, restaurants... If you're stuck get yourself to brunswick st fitzroy, chapel st Sth Yarra, Lygon st Carlton, or southbank and the casino precinct in the city will all have fun things happening until late. Also you could just google 'cool bars in Melbourne' and visit two per night... Have fun!!

For starters try out fantastic laneway bars. Some really funky ones that you would miss if you blink. Start with laneway bars fr flinders lane off Swanston. Try gin palace off little Collins. And Just around the area.. Chinatown is great for meals n great value, on little Bourke. One thing great about Melbourne is that you dont need to dtive all over the place to get some action. Try the Toff on swanston. Music n dance. No cover charge. It gets packed but can be fun.. There are a few similar places for funky music venues. A few acriss the road. Then there are comedy clubs all over the place. Google it. You can grab shows any night til late. For more interesting hip part of town try brunswick street Fitzroy. Lots of little interesting themed bars. Spanish clubs with free salsa dancing on Johnston st. Live mudic abound in this part if town From rock, Latin to reggae. My all time favorite is the Rainbow Bar. Live music fr blues rock jazz zydecco or even heavy metal. But locals are alwsys friendly and it is an establishment. For safe bet try southbank and tge casino entertainment precinct. Not my style but an alternative. Also try st. Kilda. Food music dsnce bars. Try prince hotel, the Espy (esplanade hotel) wwhich is fun and so many options to chill in this legendary establishment
