Melbourne parties for newbies

October 09 2019

Hi there! My partner and I are 100% newbies, and we thought it would be nice to start out by attending a club or party. I saw are there are two happening this Saturday 12th October: Debauchery, and Shared Secrets @ Bay City Sauna. Has anyone here been to either and want to weigh in to help us choose? I notice the dress code for Debauchery is 'erotic’ which is a bit intimidating, but we are willing to give it a go! Any advice would gratefully received! Thank you 😊 - Posted from rhpmobile

Bay City Bay City is the better of the two as it has better facilities , as opposed to Debauchery which is a run down house in need of attention. Bay City has a nice bar , dance floor, video lounge, open play rooms, lockable play rooms, sauna, steam shower, spa, sauna etc And no forcing you to dress down either.

Hi there, Also relatively new in the scene, but happy to offer my observations :) We have been to Debauchery a couple of times and found it pretty friendly and easy going with a wide range of people there. Going early helps as it allows you to have a drink and mingle before things fully get going. DynamicCouple36 is correct - it is in a house in the 'burbs... can't say that I looked it it as much as we were kinda thinking about something else ;)

Don't go on singles nights if you're a couple thats what i have been told guys are like too thirsty unless you like that of course..clubs we stay away from too full on and very impersonal. Too much effort is spent on how many you can get into bed..we just arrange a few people we trust and know so there's no surprises

Shed 16 on a Friday is couples night or there is a relaxed house party in Cranbourne north which is smallish so easy to fit in.

As a newbie myself, i have to ask. Is shed 16 on a Thursday even worth a look? I’m probably more of a quiet observer and find it pretty awkward when guys just try and like in on any single female around. Don’t just want to end up hanging around with a room full of blokes looking like the taxi holding area at Melbourne airport 😉
