Message Subject Titles

August 02 2012

So, how annoying are these for some people?Unless there is something good to put there based on info from the recipients profile.. I'm struggling to get anything but boring 'heys', 'whats ups'...Ideas for a good subject title for messages..?

Message titles are a great differentiator. The first thing a prospective partner sees in their message list. As you say, make them refer to something in their profile. It proves you've taken the time and effort to read it. And if there's nothing in their profile worth referencing, why are you sending them a message in the first place? If so, be honest and make the message title 'U look hawt, wanna shag'. That way they will know to instantly delete it.

are the ones that get your curiosity going. Try unfinished sentences about a subject that is a little out of the ordinary. XXX

Geez I always struggle with this. I really despise the 'hey's or 'hello's - so ordinary! Although the profiles I generally really like have a bit more writing in them, so I can usually pick something out that's a bit wacky, like 'three headed monkey for sale', or post the first chorus line of the song of an artist they've said they enjoy. I once had a couple write to me with the subject line in a CODE (it actually looked like an email virus and I hesitated for ages before opening it, so I probably wouldn't recommend you try it!) and they asked me to decipher it, saying that they appreciated someone with brains as well as looks. I copied it down and it sat on my work desk all day while I grappled with it all day. I was determined to figure it out before I replied to them - but alas, I had to concede defeat after a couple of days. I figured it out easily once they gave me a hint as to the key though :)

Sometimes I copy couple of words or a sentence that I like from their profile and paste them into my subject title, then discuss about it in detalis. It's not original but at least they'll know I read their profile. Now I just put their names at the subject title, just because it's easier...lol

If they have something about what I am looking for in the subject line. And yes I wasn't kidding. I did get a message from a guy looking for a wife. He was either joking, impaired, or wants a nymphomaniac for a wife. But he didn't appeal to me. I don't want to have to give lessons all day every day. One message subject line I put in the first contact thread..but I will repeat it as its so way out there its too hilariously revolting not to share a laugh...p.s didn't get him anywhere.. and it went "my kids are too big for you to eat" clearly has me mistaken for a story book character that is cannibalistic. My favourite lover started with a flirt, not a message. I just felt his energy and well, didn't take long and we were all over each other in a hotel room... Seen him a few times so far, if he was more available I wouldn't bother seeing anyone else, he can make me squeal and climax with his hands before I even manage to unzip his jeans.. Mmmmmmm oops there I go again.....

Have tried a couple of humourous titles and got a 50% strike rate as 1 replied and the other didn't. Mostly just put up Hi and hope the body of the message gets their attention. If put up agout how you could bonk them till their delirious then you can be assured they will be delirious before they even think of you. Mike

Well.. theres a few ideas there... CheersAs I said.. getting ideas from their profile is usually the way I go unless its limited in content. NEVER use templates. You're right there CK, the 'heys' are terribly boring.. hence why I'm posting to try and avoid them :)

Why the heck do they need to put it there anyway. Regardless, I often just start with the first couple of words of the message I am sending

Quoting 'wowwow11'hey wanna fuk Lol I'm sure that might work when sending a message to many guys in here, however, if there was a "slap" or "pour drink down the other person's pants" button in here, that may be a regular reply when that one is sent to women

The best thing to remember is that its only a subject line lol.   No one wins at this one. If you put hi, hello, whats up.....its boring and not liked. If you put hey babe, you're a hottie etc...its not liked. What can you put lol......I'm a scientist...or....i've just returned from an overseas holiday...lol.   Sometimes i just use a smiley face lol
