Most important things to you...

December 30 2016

So, I had this question in my mind while I was dancing, to Everything She Wants - George Michael. Even though the lyrics were so sad, I started wondering why all my ex bf moved away. Is it because I'm so free-spirited and just let them go, letting them experience life on their terms? They always come back to me though in some way, as if I was a special part of their life :) which is a compliment in itself. I realise that I bounce back quite quickly because I love myself more than anyone in this world. Sounds conceited but I'm the only constant or non-constant in my life, depending on how I look at myself. What if everyone else is just an illusion? And your interactions with these people are to teach you something? Nothing is ever mine forever except myself. Some lady on TedTalkx actually married herself and it made a lot of sense. I think everyone should love themselves more to be able to love others. I love having a bf because they can always be my complement in some way. What are the most important things to you in life? Could be a trait, a person, a memory... whatever you'd like to express :) - Posted from rhpmobile

Bf = best friend? Lol @DC It's interesting how this list changes throughout your life. What was the list like before your marriage? Mine are (in order) - Freedom/enrichment - Balance/alignment - my life's journey/personal growth - my family and friends - my memories - baby photos and all other photos/videos - Posted from rhpmobile

1.) Coffee 😂😂😂 can't cope without coffee, bloody love it 2.) My children 3.) My health 4.) My body (this one kind of trumps the other ones at times, requires a level of selfishness, but one that transcends positively to those close to me) 5.) Sex (this also usually trumps everything but not my kids, not ever, and health is paramount still) 6.) My cubs 7.) The beach/ocean 8.) Food lol - throw in a whopper & fries for good measure 😀 9.) More food - chocolate 10.) And the final one for my top 10 is private, but something I'm passionate about

    1. health and well being (physical, mental, emotional and social) are critical for me ... all else is achievable :) 2. my relationships (not just family but loved ones and friends, those very close to me) need nurturing, as do I. I value relationships and keeping them healthy is paramount to me.3. individual time ... not just for me but for those that i love ... doing what we like doing because we need to know how to enjoy our own company and it helps develop a keener sense of self ... I need to nurture me too :) Mary xx

Yes, things do change, quite often, and our list was very different before we got married and had children. It has been a fun life, full of memorable and exciting moments. We have enjoyed it so far. - Posted from rhpmobile

Everything you have mentioned strikes a chord in me! You wonder why people do leave when you allow them to be themselves? But yet they always are there in the background. Free spirit is something people look for yet shy away from maybe they can't accept it fully within themselves? Someone once said to me have faith in yourself because that's where it all starts and ends :) that has stayed with me always! - Posted from rhpmobile

is number 1.Without that, nothing will flow.RelationshipsPhysical HealthSportWork Without mental health the rest just falls apart for me.It's a constant work in progress and 2016 has shown me that being my self is the key. Get myself in order, love myself and I can give to others and it all compliments each other from there on.

My boys are absolutely at the top of my list, closely followed by my husband, then friends, and so on... However, I have also discovered that in order to be the best mum, wife, friend, etc. it's imperative that I know who I am, accept that and love myself - for my fabulous bits and my glorious imperfections. Being perfectly imperfect is the key for me :) Nice topic Fly - thanks x

@Hornyalltime72 Right? Im glad someone else out there thinks so! That saying, "if you love it, let it go, if it comes back, it's yours forever" - usually what comes back is a really great friendship and that in itself is important in life, to know you have shared a period of your life growing with that person. Sometimes, you will no longer be in love with that person, but you can certainly love and care for them. @AnnieWhichWay En pointe! I agree 100% with mental health! Emotions can take this into overdrive. We fight emotions everyday. Definitely a great starting point for everything and something I kinda overlooked, but was implied. When I have negative thoughts, I try to tell myself not to hold myself prisoner of those thoughts and try to look at it from another point of view that could be more positive. I hope we can all keep each other in check ;)

I'm glad you stayed FlyGirl, very much so. My most important things... Apparently 'fairness' rides high on my list. Lady Godiva, eat your heart out. An epiphany I have become more aware of as the years roll by. Trying to be a voice for those who could not express so well as I was/am not able to be for me at times. If you have read many of my posts... Obviously my husband, children, Grandchild and SIL are also high up on my Most Important List. Working on the walls. Peachy

Coffee used to be my security blanket in the corporate world, but does almost nothing for me now. It's nice to relax over coffee though I know - one of life's best pleasures :) - Posted from rhpmobile

Thank you for your POV... so glad that you want to help others express what they can't. That's a very worthy contribution to those who are still finding their voice and a very good way to connect and not feel so lonely. I think lonliness is one of the saddest emotions that we all feel from time to time and I believe it's the greatest contributor to depression (feeling lonely, like nobody understands and when one feels disconnected to the rest of the world... even some of the most intelligent people in the world too, sometimes better not to be too intelligent for your own good!) this is why we must be kind, always :) I thank you for being kind, always. I aim to be like that too but also to be strong for others, when they can't be themselves. We all have a huge potential in us if we put our minds to our strengths. - Posted from rhpmobile

For some of us, "We don't always end up with the loves of our lives" great article on Thought Catalog, if anyone has ever fallen head over heels in love and felt all its glory and pain. - Posted from rhpmobile

"Cruel to be kind means I love you." FlyGirl, Thanks for the thoughts, I've had a busy mind most of the day. Trying to encapsulate the busyness that goes on in there and be relevant, lol. I do mean 'fair' which is not about being 'kind' in my mind... but more of a mid path... And, it's about me too, I'm still finding my voice. :-) Come the time I'm awarded a halo, I have a feeling it will be inflatable and supporting my arse that I spend too much time sat on. The strength, I'm always working on. Peachy

Firstly, I'm reading backwards. What an idiot. Who does that? 😀 I'm a massive coffee addict, and pout if I can't get a coffee, late or whatever. I used to complain to my kids there were no 24 hr coffee places 😛 who needs sleep anyway. Sleep is for wimps 😉

A life without passion is dull. Pretty much sums everything up for me. Passion for my kids, my people, lives of others and myself.
