Guilty as charged. You'd be shocked if you knew how many I have, but then I'm a geek, love action figures too, Captain America and Batman. My favourite game is Scattegories. I have, however, had trouble finding other people who love it as much as I do, my family used to hate it. I love word games, word association, anything like that, so anyway, Scattegories is the out and out favourite, scrabble would come in second. Great topic too

Cards against humanity gets boring quick once you've played it a few times. It does go well with alcohol though. I haven't seen Cathedral in ages, but it's quite the opposite and is nigh impossible to play drunk. I play board games with my bro and sis nearly once a week. Settlers of Catan is the best of the non conventional board games with Terra Mystica coming in close second, but scrabble is a regular go to favourite as well. Other than that i have a regular chess game with a mate. And when i crave a high degree of difficulty (and feel like furthering a massive monetary sinkhole) there's Games Workshop's Warhammer 40k (lovingly referred to by many players as "war dollies"). Is that enough of a vice for ya?

not great timing to write this with us saddened by the loss of one our own here, but when I was in my 20's, use to play word association with this guy, using the death columns from the newspaper, god I know it sounds bad, but it was always with a hangover, laying on a chair out in the sun on a Sunday morning with a bacon sandwich, out would come the paper. He'd read out the surnames really fast and I'd have to come back with an associated word as fast as I could, no time to think. I remember thinking, god what would my parents think lol

I'm sure it's like riding a... errmm... bike. I'm also inclined to play board games occasionally too (when I can round up at least one other player!). As the creative type I've even designed my own with some ideas for others in my head. - Posted from rhpmobile

*waves* And darts? ha - why not! Oh. Since having scrabble on my phone I forget it's a board game - yes, love it. Trivia - well that damn pink wedge. . Monopoly - pfft, never seem to have enough money. I_touch - I wasn't game enough to mention all my board games. Apples? Mhmm haven't heard of it. Annie - I think we'd prefer a few males to serve drinks and then play twister for our amusement. In? Settlers of Catan is on the xmas list. Do have Carcassonne which is good. And love chess as well - but not so good for a group Tall - surprisingly spritely for my age - some even say I have the mind of someone 2/5 my age - well give or take and depends on the day.

Love scrabble and trivial pursuit. A game called word power which is a kind of cross between monopoly and game of life with word questions to advance from primary school through to University. Used to love cluedo as a youngen and always borrowed it from the school library. Had a great game as a kid (hand-me-down from an uncle or something) called pillow fight. It was a pyjama party and you used a bed to catapult the pillows over a wall and knock your opponents girls over. Still love snakes and ladders and yatzee though as they are games I can still play with my imaginary friend

Quoting 'Whateverway' game. Nude twister. And you could sell tickets to single males to watch you and your girlfriends play it...... After tangling everyone up with the twister colours, the calls became "Left hand on some balls", "Right hand on someone's left bum cheek" etc etc So entertaining :)

Balderdash is absolutely hilarious with the right creative/twisted minds to play with. The inner-child in me still goes ga-ga for Monopoly. Can't go past a bit of Texas Hold 'Em, when the fellas let me play that is (casual everyday sexism for the lose). Being a former language teacher I have a million fun word games which I have doctored into filthy sexy drinking games, but we're certainly not talking a quiet night of board games anymore ;)

We love board games and our kids were raised on them as well. We love most of them but payday, boggle and trouble are some of our favourites. We also play loads of card games including stop the bus. The other good thing about card games is you can turn most of them into adult versions.

Settlers of Catan It can cause rifts between family members and friends and does become quite addictive 😑 But the extension pack is a must. Avalon is another good one 😃 - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'dickfullalove' Others were Battleship, Operation, Hungry Hungry Hippos, and Trouble. - Posted from rhpmobile Ahhhh, good ole' Battleship! Loved that :) As well as Monopoly, I have a board game called Challenge Golf, 18 holes on 9 large double sided sheets. You have a club selection tool which gives you average distances per club that you will hit the ball (marker), and dice rolls specify both the exact distance and any movement left/right. Although one was not quite a board game, I have also had two different versions of Test Cricket.

Settlers of Catan Carcassonne CAH Ticket to ride (helpful to get the app if you're all on ios then you can play long distance too which is quite fun) Fluxx munchkin I've always wanted to do a how to host a murder party. If you're a gamer geek or looking for something new, you might like looking up TableTop with Wil Wheaton on YouTube - watching a play through of a game is sometimes easier to follow than simply reading the rules, and should help you get a feel for whether you want to invest in a game :o) Mazenna - Posted from rhpmobile

Without doubt the best party game I've ever played is the game of Werewolves. I am yet to meet anyone who doesn't love it once they have played. Very simple, all about lying and strategy and can be played by every age. Even better once people have had a few too
