New Date Finder

April 22 2017

Not sure this has been covered in another forum but is it just me, or does the new date finder suck? I find it really clunky and limited as to what you can search for. Comments?

I suppose what got me about it is that when you send a message to reply to said date it just goes to the normal inbox that can be loaded anyway. As you say also a bit clunky and actually a bit of a pain in the arse to search it.

I had a look very briefly, mainly just to have a squiz and didn't find it much different to the old one. Sure it had a flashy new front end asking you what sort of date you wanted, but apart from that I didn't see much difference practically. Mind you I did say briefly.. by which I mean, put a date up, look at who else had a date up, then removed mine two minutes later. No difference in my opinion.

Just interested, what did you find better/different about the new one compared to the old? By the way, I'm not saying it doesn't do the intended job, it has laways been ok IMO.

I just found it easier to navigate when adding a date it's almost like a wizard that steps you through it. I think the picture icons are easy to select, You really don't have to think about it much. Once a date is posted I also thought it was easy to find others with matching dates. I don't find it clunky at all. Why do you guys find it clunky? Is it because it asks too many questions 😂😂

...Peony will ride! Or get ridden... anything goes! :D I wish that DateFinder allows me to see the men who are looking for a date without me having to request for a date first and then see who matches. Why can't that be an option?

The clunky search side for me is having to set your age then distance and where which used to be done in one go. Now you do one go back to the same page and do the next and so on. Not a hassle in any way just not smooth. I too like the easy pics and a press on them takes you to the profile. I like the format just not totally thought out. Certainly looks better too. Biggest peeve that still exists is you cannot show interest unless you make your own date first, I thought that would have changed but I think it must be necessary to cut down the possible huge influxes of messages I would like to know as I have not received an interest or message over the dates I have posted. Do the messages come up in your inbox marked as a date reply or just a normal message? Cheers

It's a pain in the arse. I don't want to create date(s), I just want to see them. Should be like search, not having to put in all these criteria to create dates. If one did match something I'm after I'd express interest, I don't want ones of my own appearing. - Posted from rhpmobile

I echo that vice versa. But in any case it is couples and women that will be contacted regarding dates, I don't know if any men would have interest in a date they post themselves? Also, on the full website, the datefinder comes up like a mobile version, and doesn't all fit on the screen (and no way to scroll it), except perhaps if I was to increase my screen resolution that I currently have.
