New functionality suggestions

October 17 2014

Here are some suggestions that we think would make things much easier. Hopefully the developers of the site may see some merit in including them. What other new website features / enhancements do you think would make your RedHotPie experience better? 1) On the "Who Viewed You" page. Add the location of the person / peopleAdd a little symbol for people who are already on your Hotlist or Shortlist. 2) On any search results, Add a little symbol for people already on your hotlist / shortlist. 3) Hotlist and Shortlist functionality Add the ability to create folder structures (like you can with messages) to categorise those on your lists. 4) Private album list Add the function "A list of members who have given you access to their private pictures"

I don't use the Search function and don't have anyone on my Hot/Short lists. I don't follow any threads, and my notifications are turned off. I don't even use my one free message a week, but single, non-smoking, local guys are more than welcome to message me ;) Basically, I'm just here for the forums. So, as mentioned on numerous occasions, I would just like to see an Edit/Delete button for forum posts. - Posted from rhpmobile

I'm new and probably not using the site as it's designed to be used. But... Surely they can ditch date finder. I can't imagine many women using it, and it's incredibily irritating. Also ability to tailor the feed. Maybe an opt in, so you can choose what will be shown on there. For eg. I don't care who is travelling to my area. I wonder if anyone in the large metropolitan areas would use it. I mean do people who live in the middle of big cities, have any need to meet a traveller?

RHP pie knows exactly what its doing, this is a business and so far it seems to be working well. I wonder if they have shares? to the op, cant think of a thing to change mainly because all I do is read the forums, and then go and get root, pretty simple for me.

Definitely agree re notifications when a post is liked, though opt in/out would be good too. Some people would probably end up with way too many notifications. I agree RHP knows what it's doing. For example the template profile content is to get someone over the line when they start creating a profile, can't think what to write and are about to give up. Better to have a template profile that they (hopefully) pay for, than no profile. That's business ;) I do really like the idea of opt in/out for various things, which would probably lead to a nicely tailored feed. - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'SuperFoxxxy' I would like to see a dislike button There are some posts I wish I couldn't see.....very persistent. Foxy It worries me, a dislike button would get used more than the like button . Erin, I think of the short list as a hot list without the notifications! . Agreed Funlover . There is a list that shows the noted you've made TJ and OJ. You could use that if you're not using it for anything else. I like to use it to keep track of messages, considering RHP deletes messages after 6 mths. . Something I've been thinking about is how much I would love to be able to edit my stream on the home page, so I can hide stuff I don't want to look at anymore. . Email notifications for the forums would be interesting too.

…I'm not sure I agree with that. We can't take back what we say to people in the real world..why should it be any different on here? Deleting comments that we aren't happy to stand behind after we've posted them isn't going to promote any sense of personal responsibility.I don't see how the ability to hide what one's said is doing great things for the honesty of Facebook .

... for an option that is already available - the option being taking all the time in the world (so to speak) to review and edit prior to hitting the post button. Typos aside (which can be quite funny at times), there seems to be a degree of 'posters regret' where members have appeared to have rushed in to respond to post/s that have either been taken offence to, taken personally and/or misinterpreted etc. Should you be in danger of posting something in the heat of the moment that you might possibly regret - why not step away, take a deep breath (or 2 or 3), sleep on it if that's what it takes. It's not as though there is a statute of limitations applicable to posting.

Excellent point, maybe the "techeads" at RHP could come up with a "full block" button, ya' don't see em' on-line, you can't read their posts, can't even view them at a later date etc, nor can they view you either. The "Grand Final" of RHP so to speak. I've had ppl block me,then later had them continually view my profile, can't msg em' and they don't know how to "unblock". Perhaps it may make ppl a bit wary about how quick they "block". I read at one stage, a couple were just "blocking" guys randomly to "thin out" the No's, perhaps a good method, but extremely down heartening for guys like myself, who haven't even viewed a profile and find out that I've copped "one in the chest" already. Us guys have a heart too.Cheers P.L.

Same content on the home page for days is boring. Location beside the person who viewed you list would be good. Now for something controversial......... What about a couple of + or - feedback buttons that show in the profile as to whether people respond to messages/turn up for a date

Customising fee is a must. Get Straight guys coming up on my list go people looking for a date. They aren't looking for me and, like was expressed in a recent topic, they don't really want to be being checked out by blokes. I think those who are looking for dates should be matched to what you are looking for. I like to receive the travel notifications, but I think that it should be able to be switched off. I don't think that not being able to see block people's forum posts is good. Even if you have blocked them, doesn't mean that they shouldn't be contributing to the conversation. The purpose of these forums is to have discussion. Maybe flagging the fact that the person is on your block list would be better. I also think that if you try to view someone profile who has block you, it should tell you that user has chosen not to have contact with you. I think that is fair. At present it just say unavailable, which could be for other reasons. Either that or blocking completely illuminates that person from all feeds and searches to person block, removes all history.

I'd like for them to fix the "Travelling to your area" or being able to tailor what that means to you. Like being able to set that do a particular radius that you would care about. Too often my home page says this and they are traveling to Brisbane, that is 1000km away, definitely not my area. Blocking people from viewing your profile would be good. Or having that notification that someone viewed your profile 30 times in one day to a single notification that they viewed would work. MR

I concur with your suggestions. Some fine tuning a required . Here are my suggestions.... Remove the standard simple profile. And more options / button next to your private gallery such as able to give full access or parties access and who has access to your PG button next to the PG button. Ability to one press like button to your profile and the user to be able to see this next to the photo / profile heading etc. 😊😊 blackbig😍 - Posted from rhpmobile
