The version for men-who-have-sex-with-other-men only definitely exist in capital & major cities. I'm afraid I haven't heard of any mixed gender venues like the ones you describe, jeperth. Swingers clubs are probably the closest you can get, and I'm sure they're rare with sauna/steam room. Sorry!

Perth? Perhaps a private sauna. In other cities... Saunas are naked but it's not a sexual thing. Hahaha except for the odd dirty old/ young man.

I have heard of one for men called the Steam Works but I have never been, it seems like a sex dungeon.

Quoting 'Dimeshreds' I have heard of one for men called the Steam Works but I have never been, it seems like a sex dungeon. Yep, there are a few of those places around the country, but they're definitely men only. Few of those in attendance will be entirely heterosexual... To find a mixed genders version you'd probably have to try Europe somewhere. Ask Meander if there are any kicking around in the Netherlands.

Theres a mixed gender one in our side of the country in Tweed Heads. Not a swingers club, but naked steam rooms and spas etc.

Well, there we go! Thanks thesaintsinner, good to know there's a sauna decked-out swingers club in Melbourne. Whereas, the place willowtree_2 mentioned in Tweed... unless it's a licensed swingers club or sex on premises venue (SOPV), it'd be illegal to actually have sex there. Sure, it might go on from time to time, but the venue wouldn't be allowed to encourage it. If it's a business operating as a health/relaxation place, no dice. Plus, it'd be inconsiderate to the venue and any other users.

Quoting 'slippery_halo'it'd be inconsiderate to the venue and any other users. I've been to the women's section of a couple of spas and people take their kids there for the health benefits. I can't speak for what happens in the dude's section tho hehe I'd really like to be able to enjoy a co-ed day spa where nudity is treated with a mature outlook and not considered sexy or dirty but I don't think Aussies are quite ready for such things!

I see that Haven has a couples evening. Sure, could be a great place to meet other couples who aren't afraid of showing a bit of flesh. Not every couple there are going to be swingers or exhibitionists, though. While sexy, liberated people may go there, it's not marketed as a place specifically for that. Which means it won't be licensed as a SOPV, and any sex that happened to go on there could get the venue in a lot of trouble with the local and state government regulatory bodies. While there wouldn't be any under 18's present on the couples evening, it would still be presumptuous to assume that every couple there would be okay with witnessing blatant sex acts. The same would be true of a health/relaxation spa venue in Perth, if one there happens to have couples evenings like this place at Tweed. Whereas the one in Melbourne that saintsinner mentioned is a swinger's club that happens to be equipped with sauna and spa. Everyone going there understands and agrees to the sexual nature of the venue. Sure, you could go there just to enjoy the sauna, and politely decline any interest shown by other couples, but then you wouldn't have cause to be offended if people started having sex. The club will be appropriately zoned as per council regulations, contribute to safe-sex and infection control policies mandated by the state, and pay a licensing fee to operate that kind of business legally. To draw an example, there are card games and then there are card games for gambling. Someone can have a venue for card games without needing to pay hefty government licenses and abide by strict regulations. Your local bridge club, popular with the 70+ crowd, would be one of these. If you went there, you could wager money on those games. Some players might want to join in, some would just decline and turn-a-blind-eye to it, but some could be very offended and object. Then, if the government finds out that unregulated gambling is going on, there could be big trouble. Go to the bridge club for cards, go to the casino for card games with gambling. Or, go to the bridge club for cards and meet other people who may be interested in gambling. Then you could invite them to your own home. In this example, that still mightn't be legal (whereas consenting sex between adults would be), but at least no-one is going to be offended by being exposed to an activity to which they did not consent. Someone who goes to a casino and objects to the gambling is not the full quid. Someone who goes to a bridge club and objects to gambling has a good point.

Its where like minded can go to meet and socialise. Kinda like a naked coffee date. Chat online and arrange to meet socially there, then if they hit it off, go elsewhere for play. Same as the Atrium bar at Jupiters is a known meeting place for swingers. Doesnt mean they get down to business there, just a public venue.

Do a swingers night once a month. Pool sauna spa etc. Dimeshreds Melbourne's iconic Steamworks closed several years ago.
