Although it's pre surgery - I'll have to stop work this week sometime, although I won't be cut for a month at least. Drives me insane. Have tried sleeping, but the longer I stay in the cot the longer it takes me to warm up to the point where I can function. ATM it's gimping outside to watch TV. Cooking won't cut it just yet!!!! My cooking skills are legendary. Who likes toasted cheese and Vegemite sandwiches? - Posted from rhpmobile

Mary, I was going to suggest you try your hand at writing some erotic 'literature', until I remembered that you said sex isn't allowed yet. And in my experience writing about sex just makes you want the real thing... so forget that, it's a dumb idea under the circumstances. All I'm left with is knitting?? Hope your recovery is going well gorgeous girl, and that it's not too long before you're back in the saddle :) Much love, Elle xx

Elle, I've even stopped reading erotica (yep, I have a very fertile mind) let alone writing it ;) and yes I am recovering well, I'm just doing what I've been told be the doctors so that I truly recover properly. 💋💋 Freya, lovely if I sit to read anymore I'm going to go crazy, my mind says rest and enjoy, my body is saying get up and go! Twisted_mister, if you were closer I could feed you and look after you, of course they would be simple pleasures ;) sudoku, I'm downloading the ap tonight. Mary xx

I find television greatly distracting from my woes, also can be quite addictive. There are some great series available on DVD... a few of those should fill up a week? I recommend "True Blood" and "Game of Thrones".I like these while they have some entertaining sexy bits. Invite some friends for the weekend for Movie Marathon, I don't reckon they need to bring food with all you have prepared O.oo.OO.O (Which did sound delicious!!) Best of luck on a good recovery xxx

Probably not an idea for you as you are so active but I read 27 books when recovering from a hysterectomy early last year.. I loved it Shaz

There are many lonely people out there and they love a visitor. It is not only good for them but also rewarding for yourself.

I am not for one second suggesting you fit the usual demographics Mary but you might find something interesting through University of the Third Age. They have online courses you can do at your own pace, so you don't have to get yourself to a particular venue. When physical activity is not allowed, mental activity can be the next best thing.

In spirit , I'm going for the small walk to the elderly home near my house, great idea, I certainly can do some things like paint the nails of some of the elderly ladies or simply be. Jay-me, I had a hysterectomy 5 years ago, and I started my book which will be titled 'good little Greek girl'. It is my story of survival from domestic abuse and violence, I just can't face it now (great idea though). I've considered the TV series Hawt1, I might have myself a Jax marathon, a sons of anarchy session, I'm sure I can get some friends over ;) thank you for taking the time, all great ideas and some I can put into place quickly. Mary xx

Sorry to learn of your violent relationship. I can imagine how you would need to be in the right frame of mind to put pen to paper. My parents were in a volatile relationship, so I know where you're coming from. Good luck with whatever you do... Jay..
