So I'd leave them, of they were fused or one was a lot smaller or something was a little freaky I'd opt for removal. As seen in cases where you have a intersex or hermaphrodite baby, I think I would leave it to the child to choose when he is old enough, although consulting with specialists as to how the surgery would go at a later date, if I was told it would get harder (pardon the pun) as the child got older, I think I would probably opt to have it removed after extensive testing to see if there is a dominant penis. Very difficult decision to make on behalf of another person.

Can both penises be functioning right when you hear that guys with really big penises would struggle for blood flow to keep them erect for long? I think the kid will suffer public ridicule, especially until puberty...then it will depend on the individual and hoe they view that person. I have two boys. I would love them however they were born. Unless there was an underlying medical issue that may become a problem later on I would leave the two cocks just as they are. I think I would have 1 removed. As slickz said, kids can be really cruel and imagine if someone at school found out. They would go through endless humiliation and teasing which could do a lot of psychological damage. Life is hard enough as it is. I suppose there is an argument for leaving it for the child to decide as he got older, but I just know that I wouldn't want my child to go through that in his formative years.

Something like this would be very hard to deal with at young age but the choice would n should only be left to him as he grew older? I see this question much the same as any form of religion it's not up to us to make our children what we see fit but more up to us to protect and guid them the many facets of life in general ? Do we blame ourselves if they grow up to be gay or drug addicts no we didn't make them put needles to there veins ? Do we show pride in there success as young leaders yes but is it us that made then no they did that as its there make up... This for me (Mr Jelly) is a no brainer. As a parent and former child who attended school, there is no way in hell i would subject my child to the humiliation and bullying that would occur with an abnormality like having 2 dicks. Children are very accepting of things but are also extremely cruel where bullying is involved.It is bad enough being fat ,having red hair, wearing glasses, having small or large breasts, having a big nose or big ears. Why would anyone want to put a child through this ridicule when it can be rectified.

If you did leave it for the child to decide till later - it would be a much more complicated operation and potentially dangerous to cut a penis off. Much like how an adult circumcision is a much more serious operation. Only we are talking about a penis not a foreskin here. Sure it might end up being a blessing and he might turn out "ok" like this guy, but I don't think the alternative of being psychologically harmed during development is worth the risk. Also I would much prefer giving the option to my child of being normal, as that seems to be what most people yearn for.

I don't have kids now, so my answer could possibly be different if I had a son or other. I would have the other penis removed. I grew up in a very religious and conservative family, so I would have the second penis removed just to make life easier for the child......but still, the decision would be based on my views and values and not the child's....it's bad I know, but in my capacity as the parent, I would be protecting my child the best way I know how to from all the negativity in the world (and from family and friends ridicule). Some of us are defined by the major things that occurred in our childhood.....I have given up the thought that things happen for a reason, some things just happen and we deal with them how we know best. Growing up with two penises may be difficult but generally bullying happens anyway. my self esteem however dwindled slightly when I saw that one man had two penises of size when erect. seriously selfish. I had to sign up to Reddit and waste 2 hours today reading his AMA (Ask me Anything). I loved his openness and honesty and he really did answer anything. Just because a parent cannot cope with what their view of society will perceive their child is not a reason. Who knows how they will react. If its obviously detrimental to their well being as they become more conscience of their difference by all means seek to rectify to bring about their happiness. Just as any plastic surgery it should be the persons choice and no other.

Slickz posed the concept of complications with having the Op done latterly, I have known a few ladies Post Op and none of them have had issues or heard of any issues though I am sure there could be some.
