  I am in an open relationship which started about a month ago. We have been married for 15 years. We are both easy going and not the jealous type. Being honest and talking about it a lot first has made it work before we acted on it. - Posted from rhpmobile

  Every time Jennylee has a playdate, I can't help but be fearful that this might be the one to turn her head. I really don't want to lose her. She assures me I never will but insecurities are a very human thing.

  Previously I had only ever been in monogamous relationships but I always wanted more, more sex! More sex with men and woman but with a level of intimacy. Whilst I'm not in a traditional relationship I have been seeing my fwb for 3 years and we would define ourselves as being in an open relationship as we play together one on one, with other couples and with other people separately. It's the best 'relationship' I have ever been in. We are so open and honest with each other, no-ones doing things behind the others back and all within respectful boundaries around safe sex. We also attend Sydney Polyamory discussion and social nights to learn more and meet people who are in ethical non-monogamous relationships. Yes there's a difference between Poly and Open but I always love to learn more about different aspects of people's choices when it comes to relationships. I experience compersion when my fwb is with another partner. I can only comment on the good experiences as I haven't had any bad ones.   We have had an open relationship for a number of years. Now we have kids and they are getting older it doesn't happen for us as much because questions start being asked eg. where's mummy this morning?We had been swinging for a number of years before we gave each other "hall passes" for when we went out without each other. This led to both of us having a few one night stands and we would both get excited hearing the details and our sex was amazing. From there the issue of dating others came up as some of the one night stands we wanted be regular with that person. We discussed positives and negatives and felt that our only danger would be falling in love with the person. As we are not jealous and deeply love each other we felt this was a low risk. We also gave each other the veto vote if we were not comfortable with the person either I or John were dating or where the relationship was heading. With these guide in place we started an open marriage. We have both had a number of partners since then, some for a few dates some lasting 6 months. One issue we did have to address was discretion. I was seen out with my date kissing etc by a friend of mine. To her credit she rang me the next day and asked me out for coffee and confronted me. She thought I was cheating on John. I had to come clean with her and tell her that we had an open marriage and John knew everything. I also had to tell her that we were swingers which shocked her. She is fine with it now though. I did learn that my dates have to be in the city not the Sutherland Shire. It may not be for everyone but it has worked great for us!

  We have never even thought about a open relationship....it has no appeal what so ever. Swinging yes, partner swapping same room ...absolutely great fun....a fun night out together with your life partner with a another couple ...that's us.
