  In Sydney we have OSS which run first timer nights and the hosts are amazing.They often have drinks nights prior to going to the club and its a great atmosphere to meet and chat.We have had very good and some bad experiences at clubs and meeting couples on our own.It really depends on what you both are wanting and who is at the club on the night.

  Was a private party and we had a good host.But with experience in the rear view mirror it makes little difference on the night. You have lots of friends so why not arrange to go to 1 with one of those for moral support.

  For a first timer we suggest a club would be great. You can be as gull on or as conservative as you want. Although some private parties are pretty cruisey, some private parties are a little full on in the pressure to play side,,

  Most cities have more than one venue/club - check them out and see what you think. There’s pros and cons to both clubs and private parties - figure out what works for you both and then proceed from there Have some wicked fun with it ;-)
