I have never had a woman just not show up to any meet and greet. Every one of them will say, either thanks but cant come , or they will contact me way before to let me know that something has come up. The irony is that many women have to juggle family, jobs, kids etc. to get to a meeting. Here we have hundreds of men to every woman, and you go to a meet and greet and guess what, mostly all women. What are men afraid off? the men that do turn up are always lovely and charming and fun guys, who are not afraid to be themselves. We are not all ripping our clothes of or going down on each other in a public place. Perhaps that's the perception most men have of RHP women, because we are open about our desires they assume we are a bunch of free hookers, and they may not want to be seen with us in public. the fear is also that someone not on rhp may see them in a public group and ask, so what is going on here who are these people. I just say its a writers group, that people are into short stories or just say its a singles function for people looking to make friends, or your a married guy then you have to just work around things. Besides that if your in a bar you can always so no idea, just talking to people that happened to be in the same place. No shows are common because people have no repercussions for having no manners. Who cares if some internet person is put out, waiting etc. If you look at the attendance things for events often the same people will jump on the bandwagon but hardly any take the ride. that happens with one on one meets as well, people are just rude inconsiderate fuckers or they are fake in profile or in the reality check of why they are on RHP. Its a royal pain in the bum for a lot of folk. well at least we know all the girls turn up to my cup cake party and the guy was brave enough to turn up as well.

you probably won't get many, if any responses on here from the guys who are the no-shows, but it is something I'm curious about as well. It seems to be a common theme that it is quite difficult to get single guys to actually show up to events - whether they be for play or just socialising. Considering the number of single guys who post on here whinging about not having any luck meeting women and couples, it does make me wonder. One possible reason is that they're not actually single and playing around in secret, and in the end either chicken out or can't get away. But that doesn't explain things for those that are actually single.

Oh yes I remember that one and what a great time it was. That guy is keen to attend another but I lost his number. Might have to throw one when I get my new place. I will keep you posted.

I have met most of the guys I have played with in the past through meet and greets. I have had no luck with the single meets. Meet and greets are just that a way to meet people you may or may not have given a second look when you looked at their profile. It is not saying you have to play. But at least you have a better idea of who everyone is. Photos just don't do some people justice. - Posted from rhpmobile

I guess there is a reason some of them are single. You have to also account for those who aren't actually single, and then there are the ones who are just too nervous to show up. I wonder how many guys and gals get to the venue and just can't muster enough courage to get out of the car. Opportunity knox - Posted from rhpmobile

There aren't as many single men on RHP as the statistic has shown??? Even if there are, may be those single men are only interested in meeting a woman or couple for fucking business only and nothing else, so they don't actually have any interest in going out there to socialise with people from RHP??? Of course, and all the reasons that LadyT has listed above. - Posted from rhpmobile

Sorry not the best idea for a meet and greet, camping overnight, you are all stuck there.mmm Bit over committal.Perhaps a drinks night is more successful because I have found, a lot of couples turn up, single women and men also and they can come and go...most end up staying depending on the mood and the company...and that's what it is ABOUT.You can rely on half turning up then cut that in half again, anything more is a bonus. Just experience Good on you though for going to the trouble to organise such an event.I would have been tempted.Personally I would turn up at a camping trip although speaking above generally.RegardsBS

root in a brothel, or outside of one for that matter. Believe in people but don't rely on them. Experience is what you get after you need it.

Seems to be the done thing these days...Went along to a lunch meet and greet in February....about half the interested people turned up.It was good to meet new people, have a good laugh and drinks. One guy told the hostess that he will come and suss out who is attending from afar, because if no-one there that interested him he was leaving.....Seems we missed out on an opportunity to meet one of the many rude arseholes in Perth....And Gazpzcho - if they don't have the courage to get out of the car, how would they have the courage to have a shag????Just thinking out aloud.............When going on a coffee meet and greet, I usually choose a place not far from my workplace.....and ask that they grab a table and order me a coffee, then call me. That way if I don't get a call, I just keep on working!!!!!

At the last Sydney Meet and Greet we had over 100 RSVP's of both couples and singles profiles, of which about 50 people turned up. Most that didn't were indeed single guys. I've been to 5 or 6 meet and greets now and have noticed several men registered for every single one, but never showed.

Im single and i have been to most meet and greets in Sydney !Except one meet and greet i did not attend as Meander didnt invite me But OP i think most guys who do not go are rather intimidated my women who are confident and can think for them self.Or they are married and are giving guys a bad name! I hate those dudes. Some people are just talk. All i can say is...drinks night is one way to meet a number of people in a safe environment.Except last drinks night us men were bullied by the women .... I for one only stick around this place to attend the Drinks night , i really enjoy them and can have a laugh with a number of regulars who attend! So when is the next drinks night Meander

Having said that - I invited my 2 friends to a get together the other day, guess what only the female presented herself. Men are %$#@'ing hopeless

I suppose the idea of just meeting people socially and enjoying some of the great places Perth has is just not appealing at all. Well lets stay at home and cuff ouselves to the keyboard lol The idea of making friends and not just sex is maybe unheard of these days. Lucky for me I have made some wonderful friends on here

Also keep in mind if something comes up you can't unregister, it seems that functionality escapes this site. So some may have registered but couldn't unregister, I recently registered for a event and had to put in a support request and I am still waiting for it to be unregistered. However If I send a message with invite and details, that allows even the guest member to reply as no longer wish to be considered. There were 13 messages sent with a no reply either way. Quoting 'Kizza1973' So when is the next drinks night Meander Paintme was thinking of organising one in April. What do the Sydneysiders think? Trying to avoid the school holidays, and I have no clue when they are.

I am glad i made it out alive, with the women and their "take no prisoner" attitude!Lucky we escaped ,had the women from QLD on our flank, the NSW women in front of us and the only way out of there was to dodge and weave. It was every man for himself at one stage ! Ohh another drinks night in the works Meander woo hoo. Paint me where is this drinks NIGHT at?

April is a write off for many since you can combine with ANZAC into one long trip away. on the topic, there is also no momentum to keep the single going, if you're a couple, or know people going, then you have some other person giving you a tiny push (or a big push) to get there - rather than perhaps running a little late then saying "screw it" and heading home.

I've been slack in the organising department. Had heaps on and I think when people see I'm from Cowra, they are less likely to believe that the event is real. Maybe Jay Jay's turn to be madame a la Moet? or Hostess with the mostest?

L4Q I know May seems far away but April is a bit hard ...school holidays....easter....Anzac day.... a lot of people will be away and it makes travel expensive for interstaters....Can you make it in May Paintme?
