  I am a regular road traveler and I am sad to say that these days I try to avoid grey nomads. Interesting article this morning on my news feed about disharmony between nomads and locals at Broome, hints strongly at what a pain in the arse some nomads can be. If you love having discussions about nothing but fuel prices, how many litres per hundred your car does versus theirs, what towing capacity you have etc etc, by all means go ahead and seek out nomads. It's hilarious to watch them wash their ''rigs'' every 100 metres of the journey (and quite funny that the article I mentioned talks specifically about the car wash in Broome, I myself have wanted to have a go at a few of them there). You haven't really lived until you've seen them pull up at a roadside stop with a water tank and signs that explicitly request people to not use the water for car washing (because people need to use the water for things like staying alive) and yet proceed to do just that.

  Hi thanks for the heads up and will avoid anyone without red dust coating their vehicles but surely there must be some swingers on the road wanting to rock the caravan

  Up until recently, I had 1984 wideglide Harley, and took it over shit roads bulldozer drivers would baulk at.Anyway, some years back I did a nor-wester run up through Meeka to Newman, then through Nullagine to Marble bar - via Bamboo creek and Coppins gap area an out onto the highway to Broome - then turned around and headed back to the Pilbara and camped out in a hidden Karijini gorge for a few days - all through Wittenoom, then back to Perth via Munjina/Nanutarra rd..Needless to say, my black machine was RED.. and stayed that way for years, until I finally sold her - STILL red-caked!!One thing that got a person "Unfriended" fucking quickly was to tell me to clean my bike, or call it a disgrace.

  Living the dream I have been up that way before but not on a bike (I’m not that brave lol) and know a bit about what I’m in for and yes makes me laugh the 4x4ers who don’t leave the bitumen wtf
