Pheromones ...

June 02 2015

Are you conscious of the pheromones you give off? Can you smell pheromones exuding from another? I have been told in the past that my scent is worth bottling. I have also been asked by exes in the past not to wear perfume because they prefer my natural scent. So for years I never wore perfumes or any fragrances cosmetics, etc. Recently I started wearing perfumes and find I really enjoy having a fragrance I can smell only to have my current partner ask me to not wear it because he loves the smell of the pheromones I give out especially when I'm aroused. Due to a nasal spray that damaged the lining in my nostrils my sense of smell has been diminished so I can't smell anyone else's pheromones. I was wondering if men are more adept at picking up pheromones than women? Do you have any thoughts or experience with this? LG

Yes - when I met Woody we would take weekends around at each other's place. We recently told each other that we didnt want to wash the sheets (but we did) because we loved the smell of each other. PS on another note an idiot male flatmate sent away for a pheromone spray to attract women - it did nothing! LOL Pusscat xxx

pheromones and the rutting season ... I can just see males now sniffing the air in spring. In the human world, rutting season is all year round... aren't we lucky! LG

I know what you mean about the sheets ... had a playfriend who wouldn't wash the sheets for a few days if I had squirted! I've seen those ads for the pheromone spray and often wondered if they worked. I know there is a spray in the gay scene that if inhaled just before climax increased the sensations many folds. Only ever tried it once and it nearly made my head explode when I orgasmed. LG

.,...... I can remember girls walking out of the PE change rooms at high school ...... and every so often one would pass by and the natural scents of a single girl would captivate ....... frustrating when they were in a group ;)

This aint romantic but apparently it's to do with complementary DNA..opposites that make a whole for the best possible genetics for offspring..that is why smell ,natural smell is so important when choosing a mate...in fact when women are on the pill it interferes with this process....but yes, some men jut smell divine, their natural scent..but then some men smell divine who wear the right scent ..and then there are the men..who just smell ..it makes me think of Phoebe's song in Friends 😳xxFreya

The lining in your nasal passages may have been damaged....but the limbic part of your brain still recognises pheromones.

Great facts Freya and yes the mating thing I have read about. The last girl I was very interested in I was so very attracted to her scent wise she drove me wild and made me feel like a teenager I was forty at the time. Things didn't work out but long distance so often doesn't. But hell I'll love to experience that again one day. So yes there is a lot to love about those pheromones that attract. I'd be interested to know if anyone has had the opposite where you feel attraction but are put off by that invisible scent

Different people have better levels of immunity to some diseases than others. Your smell sensors are designed to attract you to a mate that has a *different* immune system to your own, with the purpose of mixing both to cover the widest range of diseases. So you are correct, you are naturally attracted by smell for the purposes of having the best offspring. Which is a little ironic if you aren't desiring any, because you will still only find that kind of suitable partner attractive from a smell point of view. Likewise, a mate with a similar immune system to yours will smell off-putting, and this has little to do with whether they have showered! Simply, someone else will like their smell. Shows like Catalyst have ran "pheromone parties" with different experiments and compared the results, which can be interesting with established couples. However there are different pheromones for different purposes across the natural world.

and is why when we're attracted to someone we wonder why ... All we know something is happened and it feels quite good and the opportune time for a bit of flirting... Perfumes can mask your natural pheromones so go easy when spraying.. besides gives me a headache...

LG Amyl nitrite - it's a vasodilator, which basically means that it opens up the blood vessels & that's what causes the rush and enhanced sexual pleasure. It's 'legitimate' purpose is to treat angina.

Have always been able to smell odours of all kind, until I moved to WA, maybe it was the wildflowers ?? Lost it for about 6 years, moved back to the sunny state and after a year or so, all things back to normal.... Love Treemans scent, crave it actually when we're apart, his pillow becomes my pillow.... Can even taste him at times if it's been a long time in between 😛

Willow and Luck Dragon ... I don't know the name of it but he told me he bought it from an adult shop for gays. It may have been something different and non-medicinal. I think I read on the bottle that it had something to do with tanning leather. It wasn't a spray but something you sniffed. Kinda freaked me out because I didn't know it was going to be put under my nose as I had my eyes closed at the time. But I will never forget the rush! LG

Amyl Nitrate. Refers to a small, usually brown bottle of solvents or the solvents themselves, which are sniffed, usually during homosexual sex by the bottom. Amyl Nitrate boosts blood pressure, relaxing the anus and making anal sex more comoftable. Also known as snappers. Pusscat xxx

I notice my own scent when I'm aroused and someone recently said I had a strong scent, it made me feel quite uncomfortable. Our first ever threesome, the gentleman who played with us did have a strong scent himself, but I was able to overcome it. It put hubby off a fair bit and the play didn't go as well as anticipated! There have been a few women on RHP who have commented on a change in sexual attraction during pregnancy. I remember a lesbian who was pregnant was quite shocked to realise that she was attracted too and wanted to sleep with men, the first time she had done so in years. So the hormones obviously has something to do with which phermones you are attracted too. (To the grammar Nazi's. Should I be writing attracted to or attracted too? Thanks)

I'm sure there is a technical term but I'm not that much of a Grammar Nazi.... lol
