I've often pondered the same scenario........Is there 'The One', your soulmate, or is it just a case of so long as you get along 'ok' that you can begin to love that person by spending time together? Kinda makes the 'love at first sight' just sound like 'lust at first sight'. It adds creedence to to arranged marriages. Great post....I'll enjoy the responses LG

They don't seek love, only attention... ....the people AND the tv network. DG- Posted from rhpmobile

That said, predictable people often behave predictably. Put boys n girls together, add excesdive alcohol, and give them the ego focussing attention of a film crew. Jersey Shore, anyone?! DG- Posted from rhpmobile

That TV shows like those are fake! Those boys and girls are put together to make a show only, and they'll part their own ways when the show is done. In reality (to me anyway), finding true love is almost as difficult as winning a lottery jackpot!!! So no, it doesn't just take two people to meet and spend time together to fall in love with each other!- Posted from rhpmobile

I used to think that...people in arranged marraiges would grow to love one another but I learnt thats not the case.As leaving my ex husband had proved fruitless so many times I had lingered on that thought but I didnt grow to love him...yes I tolerated him but in the end you need to find happiness.

finding love on a reality TV show is about as real as finding love on RHP ...And I'm the kinda girl that thinks even frogs are awesome in their natural habitat... ... and they inform the rest of us how the environment is travelling ...

Quoting 'Mischeviouslad' That said, predictable people often behave predictably. Put boys n girls together, add excesdive alcohol, and give them the ego focussing attention of a film crew. Jersey Shore, anyone?! DG- Posted from rhpmobile Although I think there is always a chance of finding love on RHP, 100x more than those shows

Each series seems to end the same , the guy proposes to his perfect match and the ratings go through the roof ( the producers cheer ) A few weeks later a statement is released saying the couple have decided to go their separate ways. It's contrived and scripted in every detail. Please Marry my son is no better NOTHING to do with love Love is where you find it - Posted from rhpmobile

oh you bunch of cynics!!!!!! there is as much chance of finding love in a bunch of people who have been matched to your personality and "what I want in a girl/boy" answers as finding it in a nightclub, workplace,or dating site, so why not give it a go??? Ever watched Farmer wants a wife??? there is at least one if not more successful match each season, who go on to marry and have children. There is actually a fair bit of research and matchmaking that goes on behind the scenes to make sure there is an amount of compatibility there to start with, whether that is explored or not is up to the individuals.

I don't believe in one true love and there is a special someone for everyone. To me, a loving relationship develops between two people who are in an emotionally available state, meeting at the right time and are heading in the same direction. This may last for the rest of their lives or their wants and directions may change causing the end of the relationship. I have been fortunate enough to have had three awesome long term relationships but, as we grew, our wants and needs changed and we discovered we were no longer compatible. Instead of continuing for the sake of the company, we parted ways. You never know when love will strike but I keep myself open to the possibility just in case that special person walks into my life at the right moment.
