Can I ask if this is your first child? Private so don't answer if you're not comfortable with the question. The reason I ask i'll explain in a sec. My experience was that breast feeding contracts the stomach muscles, incredible, I couldn't believe it. I got quite big with my first pregnancy, excess weight as well as pregnant weight, but I swear to god, it contracted down within days. I had a week at the children's hospital (both my kids were in a hurry to get out into the world) first one came 4 weeks early, but by the time I left the hospital, my stomach was flat. Breast feeding isn't for everyone, I had problems and had to part bottle feed, so absolutely no judgment if you're bottle feeding, I should have been but I was stubborn lol anyway, so my 2 cents on that. Though the second child was different, the stomach remained. I hated being in hospital so went in one day, had the baby, picked him up and left the next day lol to the horror of hospital staff 😁 then put him in the pram and walked my daughter to Kindy. No-one knew i'd had the baby because my stomach was still the same size 👎i still looked very pregnant, until eventually one noticed the pram and a baby in it 😱 I haven't heard of these girdle things though, sorry, can't help there

Do not help you retrain your muscles and lose the pregnancy tummy. Only diet and exercise can do that ... Shapewear is the better way to go.. and not to be worn 24/7 as it allows the muscles to slack off .. deminishing their support... it can also increase the risk of DVT and clots due to excessive long term compression - Posted from rhpmobile

Hi Jeperth, with both my kids i required physio due to the size they were (and me being short so i got quite a large tummy). My stomach muscles separated so far at the post birth review they could fit six fingers between my stomach muscles. I was required to wear a tub grip 24/7 for 8 weeks and required phsio to help assist in bringing the muscles back together. I wouldn't suggest wearing a girdle. A tubi grip while you exercise to help you feel like you have support is a good idea. Wearing it 100% of the time (unless required like in my case) as uneventful said would actually be detrimental, rather than helpful. Unfortunately there is no quick and easy way to move the baby tummy, and breast feeding sometimes doesn't go to plan. You just have to stop eating for two, have a healthy diet and even if you get a skipping rope and skip (doesn't require a gym membership and you can put bubs in a pram or port a cot within view) will allow you to get some time to exercise and move that baby weight.
