I goggled my user name .......not stressed about the results there but when you click on Images....different story. And it is not just my main profile photos it includes just about everyone who has posted on a forum. I don't name my photos using my username so it has to be RHP allowing Google to make the connection. I really am not happy about it and I don't think other users should be either. It's not going to hurt me in anyway but I know a lot of people are concerned about their privacy so it is a concern for them. If you ever put up a face pic as your main profile pic it isn't safe at all. Surely RHP can do something about this. Ps. The pics of cocks are not me 😈

I went off track from your post. I apologise 💋 I don't think having those words on your profile will make one bit of difference. But I am not a lawyer so maybe if someone is one they can enlighten us.

The reason your posts and names are visible in google because RHP allows public read access to forums. That is anyone in public without RHP account can read forums but can't write to it. Wish RHP adds warning to forum " You don't have to be RHP member to read forums "

My user name but nothing came up. But when I added redhotpie,a fair few of my pics came up. None of my facepics though, and Ive occasionally used them as profile pics. But everyone was there as well, all the forum peeps, even Annies bum!! It was like a family reunion, or a surprise birthday party. Hahaha. Sorry figs for going kinda off topic, but you did have "go google your profile pic..." In your OP

the warning blub is silly and I'm put off by profiles using it. I do agree it screams gullible. I am concerned about it coming up in search engines but that said it happens with any dating site ( i just tried it with a user name + another site a use and my picture came up) I guess this one is just a little more risque

Quoting 'Summer_solstice' A "Muggle" would at the very least have to either know you're on this specific site (and come find you), or know you have a certain username and run it through Google. No, if they reverse image searched a picture of you, such as a face pic it could turn up your profile, and from the page that your picture appears on you'd see that John and Jenny ChurchMouse's photos are on a profile for The_DeepThroatDevils - which would probably pique the searcher's interest. Consider another scenario, Nancy Busybody loads her photos from the church mixer onto facebook and starts tagging people in it, like that photo of damn Jane and John looking smug with their biscuit slice everyone liked! But John and Jenny's "other" facebook profile is suggested - so they're somewhat exposed, but it's facebook, so maybe it is only a tame photo that attached to their naughty FB profile called The_DeepThroatDevils, but they've set decent privacy so none of their posts or other pictures on facebook are visible. Fucking Nancy can't see dick (literally)... except the name. Being a busybody, Nancy plugs that name into google... and Facebook says "No, fuck off, you have to be in our walled garden to look, and even then, no", but instead of playing it cool, this site, yells out "Hey yoouuu guyyys, over here!!! Hot or WHAT!!!" and lays it all bare, with profile name, picture and ALL their posts nicely labelled for Nancy to screenshot, print out and post on the church noticeboard (and send to her boss) because "fuck Jane and her biscuits that everyone said were so good". Nothing would stop a malicious person already "inside", but they could easily take steps to prevent spruiking the identifying details of their members across the web. As my profile states, I'm just here for the forums, so I'm an innocent angel in the clear... but you lot, you're all dirty as hell! :)

...I googled my username to see what filth I was peddling to the world in general...and I don't even make the first page! That honour goes to the Kool Grey rock and rhythm band...last playing in December at Papa Stache's Pub and Eatery, Big Bend, Wisconsin. You know what matters. When you're out for a good time, you want to be where people are having The band delivers with four vocalists, strong harmonies and a five piece instrumental blend that covers all the bases. Give them a listen.Kool Grey can get you there. Classic rock, tasty rep cuts. R&B, Blues, Latin, Cajun and much more. fun. So when the band kicks in, your'e looking for a wide range of great tunes, rock and rhythm that will get you out of your chair and out on the floor. RHP explain that anything you post will be visible in a google search. Which is fine, it isn't a breach of your privacy. Think of it this way. You are posting on an open forum. yes the forum has paying members, but essentially you are expressing your view on an open discussion board. you don't have to pay to read the forums or respond, hence why the meta data is not kept private and can be searched if someone knows your username. Using the same username for social media and sites like RHP is unwise, well thats my opinion anyway. lol

The warning is a waste of time, and I always find it odd to read on people's profiles. Let's have a think about it all. You open up a profile on a dating site (which includes RHP, which by it's own definition is a dating site). You put some pics up, a general profile which does or does not include explicit commentary on what you would like to participate in, and throw some comments into the sandpit. You have now established an online identity. Just as you do when you post on FB, tumblr, snapchat, LinkedIn, the comments section on an article in your local online newspaper... and everywhere else you wander on the internet. Do you include the warning every time you post something on the internet no matter what the site is? Nah, didn't think so. Can't understand why you would think it would matter here, or have the slightest impact. The minute you post anything on the internet you do not have any privacy; it is a public domain. 50figs... gullible is good

Quoting 'Summer_solstice' I think then the less like a word or term your username is, by for example including numbers, extra letters or underscores, the more likely Google is to cough it up on the first page. Summer_XX_150173 probably would have been a less safe choice. ...I think creating composite usernames like mine...composed of commonly used words...hides one amongst the online flotsam and jetsam. I tried 10 pages of Google...I don't rate a mention. I'm another plank in an ocean of driftwood. You can save Summer_XX_ for when the extrovert in you is ready to explode upon the world...

I googled a few. Stirry your face is famous, youre on google!! I also googled my profile name on another site, but nothing came up. Maybe because theres no public forum on the other site? And I googled my original profile that I deleted on here and nothing showed up, even though I was pretty active on the forums. Yeah Im bored.

Put yourself on any social media site and youre up there for all to see. If anyone is googling your name, then they have a problem, not you. As long as you are comfortable with how you run your life, nosey parkers can bugger off I say. A friend of mine said Id changed since I became single again. I said yes, Im more social and confident, Im on Redhotpie meeting some fantastic people and I havent committed any crimes so if anyone has a problem with me, my social life or public photos .... its none of my damned business.

the warning came about on another site over 10 years ago when an idiot researcher went a little to far with how they were doing there research and really pissed off a couple with some of what they were saying and what they were going to publish. The researcher believed they were anonymous and of course if you are online your identity can be found at a pinch so the person who was doing the research suddenly found they were no longer a student at the University . Though I think that can be sometimes the people you know. In the end though these sites are used a lot for certain types of research as it can give anonymous data that does no one any harm. The original warning that went on the profile that started it was not so much about the profile but the privacy laws. For me I have never worried about it.

no longer exists or respected by society today... I could write hundreds and hundreds of words about why I think it is the case - could easily write a book -but I am lazy but I might just add this to prove the point...this is from the press TODAY TINDER WARNING': Woman who was 'tricked into sleeping with' a man she met on a dating app shames him by sticking up posters showing his photo and workplace A scorned woman has posted pamphlets to name and shame her former Tinder lover after he 'tricked her into sleeping' with him.The woman, who prefers to remain unnamed, decided to publicise the pair's embarrassing relationship details as well as her former lover's name, address and workplace in a series of flyers titled 'Tinder Warning' and drop them in letterboxes around Grafton in Auckland, New Zealand 'I was going to move on but frankly I'm being very grumpy and nasty this last couple of days as I am depressed and hurt,' she wrote on the pamphlets.'Frankly, having been tricked into sleeping with someone and then them getting to say every horrible degrading thing imaginable to you is kind of worse than rape in a lot of ways, and I didn't want to give you any more opportunities to hurt me.She printed off flyers, publicising his name, workplace and addressThe Auckland woman claims she was 'tricked into' sleeping with him Scorned woman named and shamed her former Tinder lover via pamphlets Never mind uni students pulling data off RHP to write their reports or thesis about sex, relationships etc....basic privacy and respect towards others is missing in today's society..

This lady in the above mentioned story is exposing her lover because he broke up with her - but she CHOOSES TO REMAIN unnamed - and is allowed to! The story that broke 2days ago about a rugby (or whatever) player who got drunk, went to a private residence and was captured on a mobile phone video talking about performing a disrespectful act with a dog and pretending to do it -without actually harming the dog!- and then peed on the couch is now being put through hell to save his job! What happened at a private residence at a private party is now being used to tell "he is not a good role model". Yet the people who took the video - without the participants agreement and proceeded to SELL it to the MEDIA again without the participant's knowledge and agreement (thereby breaking the law) are in the clear...they are "innnocent" they do not have to come out and plead for their jobs.. There is no privacy any more..just the illusion of privacy

Your profile has it's own URL, kind of like a website; if you have lot's of things linking to that profile - then you will come up on google. i.e. a linkedin account, a facebook account, rarely a redhotpie account - but maybe, if it generates a lot of traffic and scores high on "importance" and "relevance". "Importance" is determined by a lot of different things, but in this context it would be profile views, forum posts and your username (given it is relatively unique) mentioned by other users. "Relevance" is determined by things like key words, it works in sync with importance. Essentially, your profile being displayed on Google has absolutely fucking nothing to do with RedHotPie, if you think otherwise than - I suggest removing thy tin foil hat.
