I believe you can report suspect profiles already ET. And people do report fake pictures or disturbing pictures. Why wouldn't you?

I just ask to meet for drinks, walk, chat, etc. if they meet they are definitely real :D If they don't meet, they are either not interested in me or fake. Either way, i move on. - Posted from rhpmobile

As a trusted website? I assume they would check every member who joins up. In reality, where is their duty of care.

I my honest truth....there is no duty of care by side like this to check whether someone is real. I think there should...but thats me.

I agree, there is absolutely no reason for a dating website to make sure there members are legit. If the public can do it then surely they can.

Quoting 'Meeka100' I believe you can report suspect profiles already ET. And people do report fake pictures or disturbing pictures. Why wouldn't you? When I went looking for it, it was buried deep inside the help pages and not as easily done as other sites where they have a "Report this profile" link right on the profile view page. ET xox

If I met someone after chatting online and they told me they had googled me, reverse imaged me, did some research and facebooked me before hand, it would be the first and last time we met. Yes, I agree Ralf, dating is supposed to be fun

I have reported fake photos once or twice.... but only because the photo was recognisable to me not because I researched it. I have also reported the odd disturbing photo. For example, where children are in the background.

Quoting 'Kokoflamingo' If I met someone after chatting online and they told me they had googled me, reverse imaged me, did some research and facebooked me before hand, it would be the first and last time we met. Yes, I agree Ralf, dating is supposed to be fun I have had some people contact me on things like LinkedIn and Twitter and Facebook, because they were guests on RHP, but 'just felt they had to find a way to find me' by googling me ... a bit overwhelming.

Quoting 'ralf74' I really can't be bothered with the research, too much hard work, The couple that posted the googling thread said they only google people who have been stuffing them around. I really don't understand why you would bother, if they keep stuffing you around who cares what the reason is, just say see ya and move on. It's not like they're going to be good candidates to meet with, no matter what their situation is. Why waste that additional time and energy being cyberspace detectives, to try and find out useless info about people you don't know.

Ditto on what you said, I found my whole profile from here had been sent to another offshore date site. A computer nerd told me, and it took me no end of trouble to have it taken off but its no doubt been used again some place else. I also heard he found a bunch of other women from this site on that site, non of us knew. I did contact RHP but lets face it, this is a business and the more women the more guys will pay. The proof is a woman has to write to them to get the profile shut down, a guy does not have to do that at all. I have seen and we both know this one, the same woman over and over and over again with fake pictures. Its the nature of any internet site, and RHP would not be able to keep up with it anyway. Taking pictures with your location turned on will lead a stalker right to your door, with the imprint of the lat and longitude embedded in the picture. We all kid ourselves if you think your pictures or your life, belong to you. Its the world we live in. the woman in the tryst.

there will be a rebroadcast of 'Citizenfour'. I've drawn criticism previously for recommending people take appropriate precautions for their safety and security (but thought I'd stick my head in the Lion's mouth once more). This does not mean do not have fun - be aware not a Lert!

You can find RHP forum posts via google. Something that should be on a private forum isn't anymore. Go figure.
