  Is it a Hitachi Brand? Mine is a chinese brand from Hong Kong and works a treat. I personally don't think the product is overhyped at all, I'll be interested to see the responses.

  Probably!Noisy they definitely are, mostly from the massive vibrations they create! If you don't feel much it is broken, these are not a subtle machine!We are using the palm power a bit more these days, its smaller, slightly less vibration but some great attachments. And variety is the spice of life.
