RIP Bigocean

October 03 2015

Its with great sadness that I must inform all of you guys that our fellow friend Bigocean has passed away.He died tragically yesterday in an accident, following a hobby in which he had recently come to love. I had the pleasure to meet him earlier in the year in VIC whilst we both attended out Hang gliding course. The following 11 days was spent in his company, and I like to think I got to know him reasonably well as we shared the journey together. The course would not have been the same without him there. As you might be able to tell from both his profile and forum posts, he was always very entertaining! His great outlook on life shone through and he was never without a smile and a laugh, except the times he fell asleep on the hill due to his light case or narcolepsy! As I was in the room next to his, the snoring was a pain in the ass I assure you! I got to know the man in person, before I even knew he was on here and he really did come across as a great bloke. After knowing him and reading the things he wrote, I couldn't help but laugh, as if you knew him you would understand where he was coming from. From what he told me, he had quite a journey on this site and met and interacted with lots of great people. I think those that got to know him in one way or another would agree he was definitely different! I'm sure he made a lot of you laugh, a lot of you pissed off, and nearly every single one of us go 'Man, WTF is he on???' I spoke to him Thursday night and he was his usual happy, chirpy self. Rest assured he was doing what he loved. RIP Mick, I'll forever look back on those training days when 'Team WA' kicked those other guys asses out on the mountain. You were a fucking legend.

Michael and I exchanged messages over the past couple of years, drawn into each other's webs by our attempts to write poetry. He always encouraged me and I shared some of my creative achievements with him. I am shocked by the news of his death and feel a tearing in the etheric web. I found this May brooks and trees and singing hillsJoin in the chorus too.And every gentle wind that blowsSend happiness to you (Irish blessing) wherever you are Michael, may your soul always know peace and love

It'll be difficult for those going to a WA meet. From what's already been said about Mick, it's obvious he wouldn't want the whole event to be a downer, though. Having fun, making the most of life and quality connections with others will be a great tribute to Mick. That's exactly what he'd be doing if he could make it, right?

Thanks for all the lovely comments :) There has been so many nice things to say about him its like getting to some different sides to him all over again. Ive been asked to say a couple words at the Meet here in 2 weeks. I am more than happy to. However Im not entirely sure I knew Mick the best here. he has known and interacted with some of you a lot longer and shared a lot more of himself it seems with a lot of people. So if anyone else wants to pay a tribute to him at the meet, please let me know :) If not, ill say a few words :) Thanks all!

Words of wisdom from Mr Ocean himself : Please Miss Lips of Cherry you my dear are stunningly Beautiful not only on the outside but to the core of your existence ! How would i know ? I dont i just know your passionate , fragile in a independent way ! Full of love , elegance and naturally Gorgeous and will make some lucky person very happy and lucky and that is how you should always feel ! Lucky ! Happy ! Beautiful ! In love with so much of life to live don't rush into it take your time understanding you because that is what matters the most in your life YOU ! Life is what you make it !! Meaning of life is what you want it to be !! Simple things in life !! A rich man is full of cash ! But love does this man have ? A rich man is full of love ! But cash this man not need ! Woman is beautiful unique and free ! Inside she screams shes trapped its not me!! When we look to close we never see ! So look inside our answers will be Our faith in us eternally! Born your soul of truth you'll see! Born with spirit to share be free Born with a heart that bends But not breaks But will feel like it has when it aches! Our mind is our biggest challenge here ! Instinct its our faith its truth its clear ! You know write You know wrong Yin and yang Every song Written down Spoken out Locked up or just hanged Our life is simple when we love and we care lend a hand from above individual life we live simple we eat we sleep . And to help another ? you want to share ? First help yourself its not selfish Its fair look inside your soul i dare ? Born to die thats just not fair ! So love your life your self and care When you love you your life then share !
