RedHotPie Brisbane Drinks Night.

April 10 2014

After seeing the excitement around the fifth Sydney Drinks Night, I've decided to organise a casual social drinks night when I head home to Brissy for a visit over the Anzac Day weekend. Ideally I'm looking for a bunch of fun couples, single women and select single males under the age of 40. If you're interested in attending and finding out more details for the event, please check out the event listing and register your interest at http://redhotpie.com.au/Event/RedHotPie-Drinks-Night-34631 Venue is still undecided and will probably be in the Valley, but the date is definite - Saturday 26th April. Look forward to seeing some of you sexy RedHotPie Queenslanders there! Jess xx

Can I ask why you have stipulated under 40?I can understand if its a play party but if its just a drinks meet and greet why age limit it?You have to consider the other RHP peeps in Brisbane who may be over 40 or even those under 40 that want to meet over 40's, please please do not take this the wrong way but even though you are the organiser you have to cater to the whole , not just to your own personal preferences.

But why do I have to consider other RHP peeps? If I was holding a gang bang, for example, would I have to cater for 'the whole'? Also please notice I did say 'ideally' this age group. I'm flexy on age but I'm looking for people that I wil be to have conversations and share common interests with - am I wrong in thinking that's probably more likely with people closer to my own age? I don't really understand why the fact that it's a social meet should mean I'm not entitled to be selective about who I'd like to attend and socialise with? As the organiser, I would be considering my own personal preferences - regardless of whether it's a social meet or otherwise - as I'm having this event for my own (selfish) reasons, not to satisfy the whole. Whilst I mentioned the Sydney Meet n' Greet, I'm not intending for this to be a carbon copy of that event. If any Brisbane peeps are interested in having an open event, they're more than able to post up another event Jess xx

It's her party and she can do what she wants to! So Jessica, are you going to invite people from the list of people who will express an interest or will you post the event details so that anyone attend?

You're far from creepy, I love your little forum pearls of wisdom and humour. Meeka thanks, it'll be fun even if to just catch up with a few already established rhp friends Of mine. I'll be keeping the details private and contact people via messages otherwise (based on already received messages) it'd likely be a massive sausage fest. Not that I'm against an abundance of wiener the right situation... but I'd like a more even male to female ratio. - Posted from rhpmobile

Jessica, not sure what the younger women are like but a lot of the meet and greet drinks nights I have been to have had lots of women attending. I think lots of men decide not to go because they assume it will be a sausage fest.

There I was, quite excited on reading that there is going to be Brissie drinks and it looks like I will be in SE QLD that weekend. But then I read the criteria ...sigh Notwithstanding I am way way too ancient (I am sure most venues now have a disabled access I could get my zimmer frame through), I don't know if my fragile male ego could handle nominating for the event, then finding out I was not one of the few single males selected. The one that was brainstormed after the last rhp meet and greet that happened in Brisbane? As for the age thing, my first thought when I saw the event details was that it can't be directed towards any real interested in meeting rhp's regular posters, and like other's have said that's ok, it's just that by calling it a redhotpie meet and greet suggests it's open. Rhp represents different things to different people who use it in different ways. But yeah, it's Jessica's party and she want to meet her peers, those who are bit longer in the tooth would have picked up that to post this in the forums was going to end up messy. The reason everyone's excited abput the Sydney meets is because so many going have interacted here on the forums and no doubt in the chatrooms which are another thing altogether. What I loved abut the Sydney and Brisbane Meet and greets that I went to was that it was about meeting people who already know eachother yet have never met, sexual tension wasn't a driving force, and it was fun. This one, age specific, except for some reads like it's more of a meet and greet to hopefully click and pick up. Again fair enough...

Just curious Jess.... I very rarely turn up to drinks nights. So..... What makes your meet and greet more desirable than an open to all?? Given that, the free for all usually have a major registration, but, with - at times - piss poor attendance. Also why not rename it from a RedHotPie meet and greet to "meet Jessica Rabbit" event?? Or even why even post it as an event?? why not just send those people you want to attend a message?? While I like seeing your posts and contributions, I feel it's an event for YOUR own gratification than about meeting and greeting. But.... I do hope it's a success for, I'd love to hear the results of the night :) - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'Mr_Mrs_Stig' It's called age "DESCRIMINATION" You mean just as your profile discriminates against anyone over the age of 55? Then yes, I suppose it is. I'll repeat my previous comparison, if I had posted up a gang bang event, would I be expected to open it to all? Why should this case be any different? Quoting 'playfulfunwa' your event ..your party ..totally up to you who you would like to attend !! for those complaining why not me? why not organise your own and invite anyone you like .It is your prerogative whom you invite ,why and want to come, same as it is for jessica...Thank you Playful.Quoting 'sir_stir'What makes your meet and greet more desirable than an open to all?? Also why not rename it from a RedHotPie meet and greet to "meet Jessica Rabbit" event?? Or even why even post it as an event?? why not just send those people you want to attend a message?? Sir_stir, if it's desirable to someone and they are 'ideally' within the range that I have specified in the post, then they can check it out and register interest. I'm not sure why I need to sell it to you at all? As far as I am aware, having 'RedHotPie' in the title doesn't specify that's an open to all event - I think it says nothing beyond the fact that those in attendance are probably from RedHotPie? It is a meet and greet for RedHotPie users, therefore the title (in my opinion) is accurate. I'm actually pretty peeved that I'm having to defend my event and justify my reasons for having it, so I'm not going to comment any further on it besides to say that the regular posters that ParadisePair mentioned may be the most visible members of the forums, but they certainly aren't the only ones here...Hence my reasons for posting it here. End of story. Quoting (sort of) Lesley Gore: "It's my party and I'll invite who I want to."Jessxx

I came across this post as i was looking at what's going on while i travel around a couple of the capitals and it sounds great! Unfortunately, i can't go as i wont be around but looking at the responses, i'm a little shocked people... Jess wants to hold a party. Jess wants to invite a group of people that are IDEALLY within her criteria to match the same interests, whom are around the same age group. The last time i checked, she was well within her right to do so. The majority of posts having a go because it's "age discrimination"?! seriously?! plan your own party, mix and mingle in reality and stop being keyboard warriors - as it doesn't matter how old you are, they're not attractive. If you don't like it, why bother commenting? Why not just shake your head and move along? *sigh* oh people. To Jess, have an AMAZING time & hopefully we can catch up soon!

What confuses people is that normally, when an event like this is posted, the organiser usually doesn't exert ownership of such events. Due to your statement that in a way aligns it with the Sydney meet and greets, it's naturally - and quite fairly too I might add - assumed that it's not an invite only party. So when you define it as a RedHotPie'r meet and greet, your format for the event is somewhat different to the dynamic that people have experienced in the past. Hence why I suggested the name change. - Posted from rhpmobile

There are lots, and lots, and lots of events going on everywhere in Oz. Some are for everyone, others are designed to draw a crowd that may have more things in common. I can see how a couple in their 20s (no kids, first home buyers, still studying) would enjoy the opportunity to meet people who are on the same page as them, rather than struggle finding common ground with couples in their 40/50s. We might all be open-minded, sexy people but there are just simply some things only people around the same age as you appreciate. This shouldn't be viewed as discrimination or being mean/ageist. It's practical and at the end of the day, it's Jessica Rabbit's event. Good on her for taking the initiative to start something!

If an event was posted and it was for 40-60 year olds only, I certainly wouldn't get my knickers in a knot for not being included? Live and let live! I remember organising my high school reunion one year a few years ago. I had people who weren't in our school year emailing and FB messaging me to see if they could come along to the reunion. I thought it a little strange - why would you want to attend a party that is not intended for you? Anyone can post an event if they want to .. rather than complaining, get on it, peeps!

Yep we are supposed to be organising one for the GC but with Indy being in Thailand and me about to head out to the middle of nowhere for a new FIFO job it has been put on hold for a little bit. I had such an awesome time at the last Brissy one and am really looking forward to holding another one here on the coast this time. Here's hoping that a few more interstaters will be able to attend. Just need to brainstorm with the lovely Indy and as soon as we can settle on a date we will let everyone know...

come on guys ! seriously if RHP decided to hold a party saying its for 40 plus would you see younger ppl making a big fuss ? We are a young couple and we will be going to this event :) we cant wait for it as we know that there wont be ppl OLD ppl there and very excited about that :P the amount of parties we have been to that say (for the younger ppl) but then try to get numbers and just invite old ppl :( we would rather go to a small party with a few younger ppl then a big one full of older ppl. lets face it we are here for our pleaser not anyone else's. so if your older then the age limit then just move on im sure there are plenty of other parties you guys could attend just not this one.Jess its about time someone decided to stand there ground :) see you soon

Lets start with a liddle love for Jessica and a liddle for correct grammar and, say it with me, pronunciation. Good. By now 50 per cent of you hate me which if im reading these forums correctly is der rigour for posters. She has organised it and obviously has a gap between her legs you could run a train thru. Enough said on Jessica and now a little bit about me which is really why im here ha ahah. Ive paid my money and still cant talk to anyone so this is my forum now, I own it. Because of my aforementioned possession I, notice the capital when talking about myself, again ha ahahah, here is a poem dedicated to RHP and flagrantly trying to draw attention to myself, I began to meander, thru lifes assorted meanswhen bugger me deadI became a liddle extreme I wished to plundermy bodys exotic fruitsI wanted to exploremy cock and all its roots I tried to stretch itin length and in girthI started to fuck thingsstuffed toys, assorted fruits, the earth digging a hole in the groundI soon realisedI appeared a bit of a gooseThen my thought process capsized I discovered RHPand all the tarts on itand found most of them pretty easythey didn't give a shit Looks or wealth, its not eharmonyposition or declineits just a question of cock lengthAt your place or mine A home for the dispiritedthe displaced or misunderstoodIt dawned upon me then should I post this....I should
