Reverse sexism

July 23 2014

So politician Jacqueline Lambert comes out and says she wants a man that is well hung and speaking is not necessary. If a male MP said I'm looking for a woman with big tits and a nice arse would his comment be treated the same way? I bet not. So why is this? BTW I thought her comment was honest

that men get the raw end of the stick when it comes to what is acceptable to be said out loud. It drives me nuts with all the political correctness now, everybody is so offendable. We apparently have free speech but it depends on what you say, go figure. I love being able to laugh at myself for being a woman and taking the piss out of you for being a man, I think it is part of accepting our differences and living with them.

Sure she is entitled to speak her mind and in the company of her friends that conversation is nothing but normal, however she is a senator or more accurately a Clive Palmer puppet and she wants to be taken and treated seriously. With comments like that she is never going to be taken seriously and as a woman I am certainly not supportive of what she has said at all.Can you imagine for a moment that she was running the country and hours before flight MH17was shot out of the sky she is on Tasmanian breakfast radio talking about want a man with a lot of money and a big cock. Then she has to get in front of the cameras and address the country that as the head of this country she is going to demand action for the heinous crime committed. In my opinion she looks stupid and I am not happy that we have her making economic decision for this country for a further 6 years

Political Correctness is a doctrine pushed by a rabid delusional minority and propagated by a mainstream media that holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd at the clean end. Far too much of it.

As I understand it, it's the hatred of men, so while a sexist man may feel a woman's place is either on her knees sucking cock or in the kitchen, a misogynist literally hates women, we're all bitches, manhaters, we are less important. Just like racism. A misandrist may feel, all men are potential rapists, or just generally hate men for being the cause of the worlds' woes. Her comment was sexist, no reverse about it. Many of us here grew up in a world where men pinched young girls' bums, topless calendars where commonplace, etc. On one level I welcome this brave new world where men can be objectified and know what that feels like, because from the time I was about 7 I understood many men saw women as objects. I think though that rather than expressing my objectification of men in a sexist manner I've converted it into a form of philandry, a love of men. And I must be honest some men that I have met along the years who could be tarred by misandrists as sexist actually really love and admire women. Suck it up guys, some women only want you for your cock. :P

She objectified a group in society who are systematically oppressed and vilified... Um... Or not, and that would be the difference. actually she made a sexist joke that degrades her office. Considering she is one of only a few women in Parliament she should carry herself with a bit more dignity IMO. Agree with others that I'm not happy that she's shown such poor judgement and will be making decisions that effect the country. AND you're the 4th poster Mischievous, bit quick to call crickets?? AND why is someone who stands up to mysogny 'rabid'? Such labels are another attempt to silence women. So many men desperately hanging on to the status quo.

It's a natural connection as the topic's called 'Reverse Sexism'. Some needs to give me a refresher in grammar because I can't remember what sexist is (not as a noun ie he is a sexist) to sexism, which was used here as a noun. I'll take a stab at it's the adverb. Any grammar nazi's care to help me out?

Quoting 'Funlover71' They just want me for my body but not my mind. I feel so used. You poor bastard !If only women would take the time to get to know you, eh. I don't have any problems with what she said, but perhaps her timing could have been more appropriate. But do agree with the 'double-standard' sentiment - if a bloke came up with a similar comment he would have been shot down in flames. PC gone too far ?? As noted, she only spoke as to how most of us feel about what we would like in a partner - I like her honesty if not quite her political nouse. Tall

We are paying that imbecile $195K per year, she has been convicted of assault and when asked who she would like to have at a dinner party she hosted, Tassie's deep thinking Senator answered "Viladin Putin", That's right "Viladin". I repeat, she is an imbecile. I hate political correctness at the best of times, but seriously a representative of the people should show restraint and be dignified. Her most recent comments were appalling. What was worse, was her excuse that she "felt embarrassed and tried to cover it with humour". Listen to the audio, she instigated the embarrassing rhetoric and drove the discussion. Tony Abbott winked during a radio interview when a sex worker called in and was hung out to dry during "Winkgate". Ms Lambert has walked away relatively unscathed. Definitely reverse sexism at play here.

I am often offended at the way (some) men relate to women - in such a primitive and disgusting way, in 2014! But I'm also equally disappointed at the way (some) women lower themselves to the same attitudes. To say, "I want a six pack, 9 inch cock and stamina to last till sunrise is the same as a man requesting "large tits, a tight pussy, and willingness to spread her legs till I say so" - yet the former seems somehow slightly more acceptable. Look around at the magazine covers. Body image demands for men are just as difficult to attain as for women. I would argue that sexual objectification is (for the first time) equal or both sexes. That means that an unacceptable statement by a (in this case, female) politician is exactly that: unacceptable.
