Scars

September 11 2013

I've got my fair share. Some tell stories others I'd rather forget. We're talking physical scars here, not emotional or mental. My hands are scarred from my trade, there's scars on my head from various mishaps and the side of my chest and my arm have some decent ones from intervening in a dog fight that would have killed my dog. Scars on my shoulders, calf, behind my knee... There's plenty. What are your scars? What do people think (turn on/off...)? Personally I'm repulsed by the set on my arm. It's a permanent reminder of a horrible experience. The rest I chalk up to experience and the stupidity of youth. On a completely different topic. Is the Perth forum dead? There doesn't seem to be much movement.

I've got a little one on my ankle. It's not especially obvious and there's no great story or attachment to it. I don't think scars on another person would necessarily bother me in the bedroom. Is it ok when people ask you about them, or would you rather they don't?

I have no problem with people asking about them, or relaying the story behind my scars. It's just that I find some of my scars unattractive.

I now have burn scars up the entirety of my right arm and part of my chest, thanks to some dodgy mechanic work. Doc says it'll take 2 years to look anywhere near normal again. This happened 2 weeks ago. @spartanis, good point of view. Cheers

scars are just good reminders of what not to do againthough some can be a bit embarrassing, but ehlike the one on my right leg just below behind my kneefrom falling asleep when I hat a hot water bottle at the end of the bed & didn't really feel the heat through my track pants, but boy, when I woke up in the morning, it certainly left its mark! >_<thankfully now the scaring has faded and blended in a bit but everytime I see it I get a good reminder of what not to do again :)

Doc was wrong. I'm a fast healer, almost back to normal. A few small discoloration a and scars. But generally good
