See ya later face pics...

I am currently putting together my applications to become a secondary school teacher for the first time in my life. I thought it was time for a career change... What bugs me though, is that when I finally become a teacher, my face pics on my profile will have to go. Because it's socially unacceptable to engage in this lifestyle. So I am going to have to disguise myself in some way so that when people look at my profile, they will no longer be able to see our smiling faces, but just our bums or boobs (or man boobs, lol) or something else that I don't think is nearly as appealing as a smiling face. We get so many positive comments about the pics we have in our public gallery, and it makes me cross that I can't leave them there as society says no! Just a rant.... thanks for listening :) Mrs W

that is the way of the world, you know i think a perfect example of this is the footballer John's family.Andrew: admits to basically being a drug cheat his whole career, is a racist and yet still has a job????His brother Matt: admits to a consensual group sex session with a lady and some other footballers (a matter between him and his wife only, he told her about it and they worked through it) and he is dropped like a hot potato (sure he got his own show on another network but his name is mud)It seems that in this case sex outside his marriage was a much bigger crime than drug use and racism WTF??That is why so many of us dont put face pics on our public gallery, and why we so fiercely protect our identity untill we get to know someone.It would be nice if the world was an understanding place and we could all be free to declare that we enjoy a free and spirited sex life but sadly that is not the case.Oh good luck with the new career path too

There is no such thing!! there is merely stereotypical social classification! :D :D more to the topic!Good luck with the application.. hope you get it!! Maybe if I had good looking teachers like you, I would have gone to school more often! :P

Can be sad, you do have a lovely profile pic and its is so good not to just see boobs n bums. But the choice is yours, do you wish to be a teacher and follow societies dictates?? or would you prefer to be on here with yr lovely smiling faces?Some of the choices we have to make suck!!and just think , it may fall to you to explain consequences and actions to the students your about to be let loose on LOLGood luck with the application

With your career change. I really hope it is what you enjoy each day. I know of a few teachers on this site, but only know of one that has his face pic up on profile. So far he has had no problems that I know of...he is from a small town (which I thought would've been worse). There is another teacher that I was chatting to who was too afraid to show me his PG (I think that I live in the area that he may teach in). But, I guess you never know. Unfortunately there are a few professions where face pics are not a good idea for all to see and teaching is one of them. I hope your successful in your application and it doesn't cause too much inconvenience or sacrifice for you in your "private life". xFunlovingx

I love seeing face shots. It reassures us newbies that people involved in the scene are just normal everyday people (well most anyway). Sorry to lose yours - good luck for the career change.

Gourmet_Lady commented that, "...its is so good not to just see boobs n bums." Which makes me lament that your sweet and tasteful booby shot may disappear soon? I do hope not as I find it most delightful. I wonder if you'll entice Lady VB to indulge in the same form of erotic jewellery? Can sympathise with wilko23's concerns... and have even hidden my profile owing to the many business contacts who may not understand or appreciate.

it's sad that people are so narrow minded that they judge what you do in your own private time with consenting partners. but that's the reality of the world.i've always admired teachers, it's a tough job and a huge responsibility. all the best in your future career.

Thanks Mrs WI am in the same situation, (what will you teach Mrs W) I begin my 2nd round of prac teaching (PE & Health) next week, I must remove my face pic now I guess, and get a shot of my awesome arse up there.One of my benefits is, I do get to teach sex education, So far I think i will be leaving out more than I teach. i always thought my school teachers were honest but I be leaving many a tale untold.From my last prac I cannot believe the number of teachers that are on facebook and they wonder why they get messages from students all times of the day and about many matters. I like kids & I like the teaching but my cyber world & students will not mixOrcaboy

Can't argue the case against eye candy... though the advantages of the blind is that they must touch to evaluate and appreciate. There's an enormous amount of merit in that :)

for the show of support, I wish I could get back to you all individually. I'll be teaching Science and Maths orcaboy. I will be going from a workplace that not only knows about my lifestyle, but celebrates it. It will be a shock to the system but it's what I want to do. Good to see but there's so many threads with many more comments berating people for not putting face pics up. Time and time again we reiterate we wont show faces on here as our little fun time isn't worth risking healthy careers over. GOod luck with the job Wilko and maybe we'll bump into your faces for real some time :)
