Sending messages

Looking for advice on site use.... We've a guest account.We've recently accepted a new friend request, but can't send a message to them with upgrading my account.Yet, for other existing friends we can send a message. Puzzled.. Are we missing something obvious ?

Guests can send messages to Platinum members. Otherwise, you can only reply. Which I guess means that Guests can't message Guests. 😕 PS: Having been on the site myself for some time, I do recommend it. In fact I just upgraded from monthly Premium to yearly Platinum. Very happy with the site. I no longer use any others.
