Sexy Movies - Discussions and Recommendations

December 01 2013

I thought I would start a topic for discussion and recommendation of sexy movies that are NOT porn. You know, ones with a storyline and stuff. Ive found the website IMDb dot com to be a good place to get info on movies, directors actors, reviews etc. This site has trailers, but you can always use YouTube to get trailers as well. I'll start. ________________________________ Shortbus (2006)Director and Writer: John Cameron MitchellActors: Sook-Yin Lee, Peter Stickles, PJ DeBoy... Storyline: "Numerous New York City dwellers come to the exclusive club Shortbus to work out problems in their sexual relationships. Rob and Sophia are a happily married couple, except for the fact that she has never experienced sexual climax. This irony follows her to work because she is a couples counselor who frequently has to deal with the sexual issues other couples have. Two of her patients are Jamie and James, a gay couple who have been monogamous for five years and counting. James wants to bring other men in to the relationship, and his own history with depression may hint at an ulterior motive. Ceth (pronounced Seth) may be the perfect addition to their family, but Caleb, a voyeur from across the street, may have his own ideas about that. Sophia visits Severin, a dominatrix with secrets of her own to reveal." From IMDb. This movie starts off with a guy self fellating to climax- must have done a lot of yoga to accomplish that, and if you can get into, or get past, the MM sex scenes, it is an attempt to give insight into human nature and sexuality with the use of uncensored sex in modern cinema. I personally didn't go for it's happy ending- to excuse the pun, but the journey was certainly worthwhile, as is the directors niche to bring sexuality into the mainstream. Sex and Lucia (2001)Director and Writer: Julio MedemActors: Paz Vega, Tristan Ulloa, Daniel Freire, Elena Enaya... Storyline: "Lucía is a young waitress in a restaurant in the centre of Madrid. After the loss of her long-time boyfriend, a writer, she seeks refuge on a quiet, secluded Mediterranean island. There, bathed in an atmosphere of fresh air and dazzling sun, Lucía begins to discover the dark corners of her past relationship, as if they were forbidden passages of a novel which the author now, from afar, allows her to read." From IMDb. This Spanish (subtitled) movie is beautifully woven, and artistically and atmospherically executed. It rates highly in my Top 10 movies, not just for its sexiness. It made me laugh, made me cry, made my zipper buckle. The sex and nudity is explicit, but leaves the magnifying glass on the bedside table, which adds to the movie's artistic class. Mulholland Drive (2001)Director and Writer: David LynchActors: Naomi Watts, Laura Harring, Justin Theroux... Storyline: "A bright-eyed young actress travels to Hollywood, only to be ensnared in a dark conspiracy involving a woman who was nearly murdered, and now has amnesia because of a car crash. Eventually, both women are pulled into a psychotic illusion involving a dangerous blue box, a director named Adam Kesher, and the mysterious night club Silencio". From IMDb. If you have never taken drugs and never want to, be warned, David Lynch will give your mind a tweaking that you may just not recover from. This movie, from the co-creator of Twin Peaks (this point in itself should tell you a lot), is woven in a non-linear cut and paste style of storytelling, in a similar way to Pulp Fiction. However, David Lynch ups the ante x2 by interweaving a fantasy version of 'reality' with a real version of 'reality'. That makes for a lot of cross referencing, but the power of this movie is jaw dropping. Who has seen the FF scene between the 2 main characters and not been rocked by its build up? The scene at the Club Silencio when Rebecca Del Rio sings a Spanish version of Roy Orbison's "Crying" still has me absolutely floored viewing it years later. If you watch this movie and need to seriously debrief, I am here for you :-) Love to hear your views on these movies, or others you recommend.

Perhaps my favorite movie of all time, Betty Blue (1986). Still watch it every few months. Left a huge impression on me as a teenager first viewing it for the (then) controversial sex scenes. A very tragic, sweet, romantic, erotic, sexy, human, funny and very European film. Seems to resonate deeper and deeper with each viewing. I love that film. Had a girlfriend I was incredibly taken with (and still occasionally see) that bore a remarkable resemblance both face and body to Betty (Beatrice Dalle). A little crazy too. Like I said, this film left a deep mark on me. Poor beautiful Betty.

Unfaithful (2002) - "Adrian Lyne's erotic drama illustrated the deadly consequences of an extra-marital adulterous affair, seen in extended, racy love scenes involving the unfaithful wife (Diane Lane), married to suspicious husband (Richard Gere), after a chance meeting with a handsome French used book dealer (Olivier Martinez)." Risky Business (1983) - "Although most famous for making a star of Tom Cruise with his underwear air guitar scene in this teen comedy, its sexiest scenes were when bookish HS student Joel Goodson learned to let loose when his parents went on vacation. He ran a brothel in their suburban Chicago home with the assistance of call-girl Lana (Rebecca DeMornay) - romancing her when she first appeared and also during a late-night train ride." I love the train scene.... Dangerous Liaisons (1988) - "This daring, aristocratic psychodrama was filmed multiple times - it involved court intrigue, scheming, betrayal and wagers placed in France a few centuries ago, over whether Valmont (John Malkovich) could seduce a virtuous young virgin (Uma Thurman) and a recently-married woman (Michelle Pfeiffer)." Death Proof (2007) - "Two separate sets of voluptuous women are stalked at different times by a scarred stuntman who uses his 'death proof" cars to execute his murderous plans." Quentin Tarantino movie, no sex, but plenty of gorgeous women and a fully clothed lap dance which is one of the sexiest movie scenes I've ever seen.

"Quills" having some very sexy scenes..It starred Geoffrey Rush, Joaquin Phoenix and Kate Winslet in 2000..Synopsis from IMDb:"The infamous writer, The Marquis de Sade of 18th Century France, is imprisoned for unmentionable activities at Charanton Insane Asylum. He manages to befriend the young Abbe de Coulmier, who runs the asylum, along with a beautiful laundress named Madeline. Things go terribly wrong when the Abbe finds out that the Marquis' books are being secretly published. Emperor Napoleon contemplates sending Dr. Royer-Collard to oversee the asylum, a man famed for his torturous punishments. It could mean the end of Charanton and possibly the Marquis himself."

It's basically about a threesome between Penelope Cruz, Scarlett Johansson and Javier Bardem. It's about two girlfriends on a summer holiday in Spain become enamored with the same painter, unaware that his ex-wife, with whom he has a tempestuous relationship, is about to re-enter the picture. Penelope Cruz is stunning in the movie.... I would turn gay for that! Hubba Hubba. 😍

It's been a while, but Noami Watts' character heads to the big smoke to make it big & gets washed up, as opposed to her Disneyland fantasy version of her successful love interest Laura Harring relying on her for her own identity. Literally, she is tormented and goes mad. Things don't end well for the poor girl. Apologies to all about the formatting. The original posts had paragraphs & everything! Same story, different day.

There's a movie coming out soon called 'Nymphomaniac' by Lars Von Trier which looks pretty awesome. Lots of explicit sex....even the poster for the movie has stills of all the actors' faces mid-orgasm. But I don't think it's just a fuck-fest, looks like it has a good story as well. There is a trailer and teasers on the tube, check them out.

There's, 'The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover'. >>>.The wife of a barbaric crime boss engages in a secretive romance with a gentle bookseller between meals at her husband's restaurant. Food, colour coding, sex, murder, torture and cannibalism are the exotic fare in this beautifully filmed but brutally uncompromising modern fable which has been interpreted as an allegory for Thatcherism. .I do also love me, 'Two Moon Junction', lotsa sexy moments. About the young, soon to be married, southern belle (played by Sherylin Fenn) from the rich, powerful genteel family and the attraction between her and the cocky 'carny, Perry (played by Richard Tyson). Kristy McNichol is hot in her role. The dance between Kristy and Sherylin is riveting... and I'll bet, available on the net. Oh yes, too easy, just google, Two Moon Junction dance'.

Totally agree on Betty... I had a very attractive client I was flirting with about 10 years ago who was listening to the soundtrack one arvo whilst I was there... We got talking about the movie and the emotions that it evoked for both of us... When I returned after completing the job, invoice in hand, I was greeted with the haunting sounds of that soundtrack again... And I was extremely well renumerated... 😎😎 Geez StSinner, I'd definately be paying "Betty" more attention if I was you... Mmmm Hp xo 💌 Because it's "37.2 le matin" somewhere...

Nothing stirs the passions like the idea of unconditional, self-immolating love. It's a very touching film. But, my "Betty" was very sweet but tough work. After midnight, not quite, booty calls to fix her hair after she cut it herself. Come to think of it she was very so sweetly funny. No wonder I always obliged. Still do sometimes. :)Because I'm a sucker for fervent women. And because you (and tongue cramps) got good taste in movies.

Allow me to act out the film for you.... Opening credits with blue graphic of the transplendent Beatrice Dalle (BEtty) over merry-go-round music. Cuts to two people, man and a woman, making writhing, sweaty luuurve (missionary - it was the 80's) camera slowly zooms in aaaaand they're done. Then the voice over of the guy (Zorg) in French: "I had known Betty for a week. We screwed every night. The forecast was for storms..." Actually this might take awhile, it's a 3 hour film. Might be best to watch it. Or, I'll act out the highlights...or sex scenes. Nah, still watch it. Wish I was writing this while naked.

You will be making love with them before the 20 minute mark, when you restart the movie you will be tearful at the end... It's an emotional rollercoaster of a movie... The critics were split upon its release, some reveling in its portrayal of love, lust and obsession whilst others panned it as soft porn... But it is a movie to watch with someone special... Somehow I've missed Betty Blue, i'll need to check it out. I have a bit of a collection of erotica. A good storyline with the action is my preference over straight porn most of the time but porn certainly has its place. Surprised no one has mentioned The Story of O, one of the sexiest films I've seen (many times) Some more grist for the mill - Damage - Jeremy Irons - Politician who becomes obsessed with his sons lover. Leads to the destruction of his political career. Henry & June - Set in 1930's Paris and tells the story of a love triangle between an author, his wife and his lover In The Realm of the Senses - Based on fact, set in pre war Japan and chronicles the mutual obsession of a man and one of his servants. L'Amant - French teenager engages in an illicit affair with a wealthy chinese heir in 1920's Saigon. Lie With Me - An outgoing sexually aggressive woman meets and begins a torrid affair with an equally aggressive young man in which their affair begins to bring a strain on their personal lives Lust Caution - Espionage thriller set in WWII Shanghai in which a young woman gets swept up in a dangerous game of emotional intrigue with a powerful political figure Tokyo Decadence - Tells the story of a secretary who is led into the world of BDSM by her boss Wild Orchid - Mickey Rourke doing what he does best. Mesmerising a female lawyer in Rio triggering a serious of erotic encounters. Last but not least as it probably rides the line between erotica and porn is Caligula - Imperial Rome in all its carnal glory. Malcolm McDowell playing the mad roman Emporer. Enjoy !!

Ok it was always camp, is now very dated and OTT but he was never afraid to push the envelope - whether it was flagellation or masturbating nuns in the Devils, Kathleen Turner in Whore, famous literary figures getting high and getting off in Gothic or Oliver Reed and Alan Bates wrestling naked... Not always sexy, but always sexual... Peter Greenaway too (Cook, Thief, Wife and her Lover) also did a Zed and Two Noughts, which was considered very raunchy in it's time with 3somes, nudity etc and one of my favourite films ever Drowning By Numbers, which was sexy for it's time but is also just a brilliant film, where each scene helps count down from 100 if you are paying enough attention. But for actual hot under the collar sex a top pick for me is Angel Heart, where a young and still hot Mickey Rourke gets fucked in the N'Orleans humidity but a very young and hot Lisa Bonet. And let's never forget the work of Russ Meyer whose films never ceased to tit-ilate, and his real pornos were pretty hot too. Everyone always goes on about Faster Pussycat Kill Kill Kill because of it's s and m flavour but my favourite is Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, an attempt at a 'real' film (1970) which follows a girl band as they find their feet in groovy and far out Hollywood, lots of lesbian sex scenes with gorgeous nymphettes in gogo boots, and crazy 'happenings'. Think the original batman tv series with sex, drugs and rock and roll...

I haven't seen this film in decades so I don't feel qualified to get into the details too much... Roman Polanski casts his very hot young wife in a tale of sexual obsession between an older man and a hot, young wife with more than a little bondage and kink thrown in.

Staring Nastassja Kinskii, Malcolm McDowelll, John Heardd and Annette O'Toole.Released 1982. Erotic horror with incest themes, a tame bondage scene and plenty of nude/sex scenes. It is a remake of the 1942 movie. Its also one of the main reason I like petite woman with small breasts (Nastassja Kinskii & Milla Jovovich, drool). I also loved the David Bowie song "Putting out fire"

Quoting 'Paradisepair' I haven't seen this film in decades so I don't feel qualified to get into the details too much... Roman Polanski casts his very hot young wife in a tale of sexual obsession between an older man and a hot, young wife with more than a little bondage and kink thrown in. one of my favorites too, it has been forever since i last saw it, but i still remember the impression it made on me first time i saw it lol

A very sexy erotic story with great sex scenes. Not sure who is in it or who directed, but well worth a look. - Posted from rhpmobile

Bugger, I have 9 Songs on my hard drive. Another goodie there. It's claim to fame originally is that all the sex scenes are the real deal !

That sounds like a great movie. Lars von Trier makes very interesting movies. I am definitely watching it in Melbourne - anyone want to join? Quoting 'Luckdragon23' There's a movie coming out soon called 'Nymphomaniac' by Lars Von Trier which looks pretty awesome. Lots of explicit sex....even the poster for the movie has stills of all the actors' faces mid-orgasm. But I don't think it's just a fuck-fest, looks like it has a good story as well. There is a trailer and teasers on the tube, check them out.

The Long Kiss Goodnight, she is a spy milf and when she gets bound to the paddle wheel and comes up out of the water, got to be the sexiest spy mum scene ever Princess Leah was hot, especially when she was locked up, when Darth Vader thought he had her, I reckon Han solo would have rooted her, wish we could see the uncut film, he would have bonked her in that copy, for sure. Cruel intentions, gone in 60 seconds (angelina jolie- greasy under a car yum). Mr and Mrs smith, Blow (short cocaine fuelled erotic montage is kinda hot) any of the fast and furious series (women and cars) any number of scenes from the tv series Castle. I'm sure there's more

Did I just skim this too fast or has this sexually controversial (but quite terrible) one been overlooked? And how about that threesome scene in Wild Things? Vicki, Christina, Barcelona may actually be my favourite film (whoa big call for me). Opened my mind to the possibility of three people living together in a harmonious relationship. I love the analogy of Christina being like the salt that binds them together. Unfaithful with Olivier Martinez and Diane Lane is a sexually charged, simmering beauty of a film. Damn I love sexy movies.

I have tried to come up with some intellectual response to your post, but thinking about those twin peaks colliding in Mullholland Drive makes my mind go empty, my face go blank, and my jaw drops to the floor. Slight dribbling has also been known to have occurred.... 😋

I couldn't appreciate Brokeback Mountain myself. Donnie Darko is more my style!
