Love shibari but have limited experience. I find it so erotic and a very big turn on. I saw a man over a year ago for a while that was learning and I gleefully was used for practice. The feel of the rope on my skin the intricate ties it's quite hypnotic. I've had an anal book tied to my hair which was pretty amazing but I've only really experienced the dragonfly sleeve, chest harness and breast ties. It's something that's definitely on my list for future exploration.

I admit I am a bit of a wham bam gal so the whole process of being tied up in intricate ways and the time required gets me impatient. But not in a good way usually. I agree with MissB the bondage side of it and the things that are done to you when you are tied up are much more interesting. To me anyway. Anal hooks - lots of fun. Have friends that rig and friends that are rope bottoms. I love watching. Sadly my body is too rusty and old to cope with at least 30 mins of tight ropes cutting off circulation, susspending with the weight of my body pulling on the ropes. And my arms just cant stay in that pulled back position that looks so hot and enhances the breasts so beautifully. So no bunny experiences for me. Just a happy voyour. If you are after some practice and meeting ppl in the lifestyle (in Brissy) there are a few places that have rigging practice regularly. There is a wednesday night one that caters for practice and skill sharing, as well as the rope specialists in bris have different levels of classes and get togethers. I wont put names and adresses up, but you can find them on fetlife or ask in rope groups. But you didnt ask for any of that. Sorry, just adding my dribble. Dont hear much about rope tops or bunnies on here.

I have watched a lot of it, and I love it. Though I think I'd prefer to top than be a bunny myself. Sooo much shibari in Sydney. Studio Kink, Velvet Rope and events such Tryst have lots of shibari space, The Chamber and Threshold are great too. Lot's of bunnies around. Have fun :)

Come back to Sydney! Those events I mentioned are on different weekends every month, 1-3 Saturdays each month. So not the Hellfire weekend. Also Rope and Chill weekly and lots of weekend intensives. Lots of female riggers and also a monthly female only event. Last event i was at there were 6 simultaneous shibari suspensions going on. :D So much voyeur-ing going on

I disagree with this "girls night out" business #FOMO :) I REALLY like the problem solving and engineering side of the suspensions, some are very clever in sending loads through the rope to get the chosen position without causing damage. (Like Candy, I find some of the slower parts of the pomp and ceremony they put in for shows boring, I get that you've lifted them up onto a tippy toe... I don't need her spun twenty times to show it off, show me the next step)

Yep it's amazing a woman topping a man. Saw this recently in person at a private play party and it was hypnotic but I think a lot of that was about the connection they have. They were so focused on each other, mesmerizing. The entire party ended up watching them and it was dead silent throughout and they are lovely people to boot

... can look up 'Peer Rope Brisbane' on facebook, and ask to join the closed group - not follow the page. Also seek out 'The Salon Brisbane', which is both a place and a group. They regularly hold gatherings called 'Twisted', which are lots of fun. Gold Coast has 'Evil Girls' that I'm aware of, but there may be more. I've only just started practicing, but have loved watching the artistry for a while now. Doing the tying is fun and frustrating - just like learning any new thing.

Gold coast has some of the best rope teachers in SEQ. They also hold classes. Also have their own venue/studio. One of the best known is a woman actually.

I didn't think I'd like it but a good friend asked me to bunny for her at a Studio Kink lesson. She blindfolded me and put me in a hogtie position in the floor and sent me into fluffy bunny bliss space. I was hooked. There's something about the intensely connective nature of rope and I'm not a hippy but having someone's energy directed at you in that way is absolutely delicious. Add to that the push/pull pleasure/pain and sensory aspects (the feel/smell of rope, being touched all over) = bliss. The rope masters I've met consider themselves lifelong students. Always learning. Any new ties or new bunnies are done with safety top of mind. My advice to anyone interested is to go to lessons and get to munches. Let the community see you and get to know you. I've bunnied for several riggers now. The more people get to know you the bigger your network gets = more riggers/bunnies = more opportunities for rope play. Like most kink play it isn't something to be taken lightly as there are risks. I wouldn't do rope privately with anyone I didn't know well. For me it starts with lessons, then in public at play parties then I'd consider private.
