Silk is a natural fibre that is seen as being expensive and luxurious. I think that the fact that it is expensive adds to the belief that its so yummy.I have a few silk blouses and can say that yes they do feel good - silk falls nicely on one - they are nice and cool in summer but they are a bitch to clean and stain easily. Cant be washed - dry clean only. Silk also breaks down with exposure to UV and so its not very hard wearing.Silk sheets are not practical - can you imagine having to have them dry cleaned ? And things like semen and other bodily fluids will stain and or start to "eat" away at the fabric.So I reckon perhaps one should say "silky sheets" meaning percale cotton with a high thread count - something that feels silky but is not silk?That said making love in a bed that has 1200 thread count or more, egyptian percale cotton, is really luxurious - feels so good against naked skin. Not yet tried satin sheets, but heard that they slip and slide.

I have black satin sheets which i love sleeping in, so smooth. But i'm actually thinking of getting some nice cotton ones as in regards to having sex in/on them you tend to lose traction and knee's continue to slide back slowly lol- Posted from rhpmobile

It's a thing, with silk sheets, they are fine quality, therefore the lady would never have it that they could be faulted.On that note, where there may be a sign of aggression, in the case with the accidental slip and finding ones penis has accidentally found itself buried into the others bottom. The reaction tends to be a lot calmer and much more understandable.We have a set of brilliant red silky sheets, and often understandable accidents. he heMado, Tara xx

i dont care what they are as long as im rolling around with a great lady , in tropics u need cool sheets that dont stick to sweaty bods and in other clims well sheeps skins a fire side and booze and ur bod

I love silk robe, silk night gown but prefer thousand count natural cotton with a touch of synthetic. Nice to sleep on and to wash, and white is the colour I like. So I can strip em of and wash them right after play , no hiding the wet patches for me. Bleach is my friend. However when squirters come to play I put on the not so good sheets and make sure plenty of towels around, cover all the furniture with plastic and take down the curtain and have sugar soap ready to clean the walls.those girls are bloody amazing, now where are my swim goggles to hand out to the boysYes Foxy you have a VG and the boys just want some of that ?

The reason so many profiles mention silk sheets is because its one of the templates that you (must ?) choose. As mentioned the silk sheets are seen as being luxurious... I don't believe I've ever experienced them so I can't comment. My preferred sheets are sweat soaked... :) Hp xo 💌 Because you're worth it...

The weird thing is that my 700count sheets feel smoother and nicer to touch than my 1200 count sheets. Unless the woman is bleeding, go for white sheets, hides the other stains better. lol.

Silk clothing is wonderful ! My calloused hands drag it around over smooth skin, Yum ! Silk sheets are terrible ! No traction ! The slip and slide is a laugh but it wears a bit thin when you want to get down to it ! Saved up and bought a set in my youth (to go on the waterbed) was so disappointed.

Wow what a mix of responses!!!!! Made me laugh!!!! My fav as per Lady T is five star crisp white hotel sheets........ Love love love them and always Sheridan at home!!!! Foxy ur to funny and that's What I think....slipping everywhere do yourself a neck or back injury!!!! I take the advice on the black and stains..... What to do......$500 quality satin and end up in traction from neck injury, cheap polyester and hope he doesn't notice OR ignore the fantasy knowing it will be bloody Sheridan!!!!! Lolol BL ;)))

But as to satin. Yes it feels great but you slide all over the place and even pillow can slide off the bed. However try Egyptian cotton all the ups and no downs.

Never had much experience with silk but surprisingly my black satin doesn't stain nor show cum stains readily. It may be because it's very high quality. I bought them years ago at a linen party my sister had for about $1400 just for the linen. Thinking about going for high thread count egyptian cotton when i finally upgrade to a king size bed- Posted from rhpmobile

Havent felt silk in years but agree captain the higher the thread count the stiffer the sheet can be....I have purple and they are so cosy to sleep on maybe only 500 thread who remembers, my quilt cover is even cosier.

Being inexperienced with high quality cotton linen i would always just go for the higher thread count assuming it's better but as in a lot of other things in life this may not be the case. So i ask in addition to the original question of the op, those with great experience with quality cotton linen is it all about thread count? Does it have to be egyption or is that more for women who flow like the nile ;) (not very tasteful i admit but i couldn't help but add that :D)- Posted from rhpmobile

I think perhaps that there may be some confusion between Silk and Satin sheets.Satin is the shiny "slippery" one available in assorted colours including red and black etc . Most bedding shops stock Satin sheets.Silk sheets, on the other hand, are very VERY hard to find.So possibly the template should have said "silky sheets" as in sheets that feel soft, light and silky , but are actually probably just made of fine cotton . lol

I have 1200 TC cotton sheets which are stiff but I love my 800TC ones which feel softer and cooler. I would go for Egyptian cotton - although more expensive, they are softer and have a tougher weave and will last longer. We do spend a third of our life in bed, so investing in some good quality bed linen is well worth it. Hope that helps

You could try sateen sheets which have a silky feel but has less/no static, and washing instructions similar to cotton, with less wrinkles ;) Sateen, however, isn't as durable as Egyptian cotton- Posted from rhpmobile
