Country genre has a lot of fun stuff, and Loretta Lynn & Conway Twitty come up with the best duets. Right now... "I Don't Like Spiders & Snakes" is on. :-D I will look up the songs suggested here via videos MFW, I love visuals. Thanks y'all, Peachy, brb xo

Flight of the Conchords - I Told You I Was Freaky, the whole album but Tears Of A Rapper is my favourite. Macklemore -The Penis Song Tenacious D - The self titled album. Boney M - I’m slightly obsessed with them and their weird 70’s film clips and Rasputin is our family jam. Just only recently realised Duck Sauces song Barbra Streisand, (which is also weird, but amazing) samples their song. - Posted from rhpmobile

But first, The Penis Song Just my thing. There is depth there too. Some Flight of The Conchord's, hubby loves them! Tenacious D, I have not heard the whole album but have seen the different clips of This Is Just a Tribute. Hubby and one of the young one's love to rock out to that. Sing-a-long style. I do count my blessings, lol.Boney M, we have a lot of that too. I loved watching those clips as they came out. Haha, took me a moment or few to work out the Duck Sauces song is not actually sung by Barbra Streisand! LOL. It reminds me a lot of the Maroon 5/Christina Aguilera song - Moves Like Jagger. That took a while to grow on me but it's stuck there now. Thinking this song will have the same effect. Peachy

On what I’m doing.. there’s songs in my playlist that just make me dance in front of the mirror as I’m supposed to be getting ready for work lol Songs that are my motivation to push through a workout and songs that are just a pick me up when I need it... I’m not set on any genre and can probably be easily influenced music wise lol - Posted from rhpmobile

Country, I have that stuck in my head now. :-Perfect. Hawt, hehehe loved the guys in the band. The whole beach vibe in the clip I saw. Isn't the world of nonsense the best? Here's a few more inspired by you guys today... The Men in BlackThe Banana Splits Theme! One banana, three banana, three banana, four! The Beatles - Yellow SubmarineCharlie Daniels - The Devil Went Down To Georgia (complete with swear word :-D)Charlie Daniels - Uneasy Rider (I have it on the "A Decade of Hits" album) Funny as... Hunter Hayes - Invisible Crowded hallways are the loneliest places For outcasts and rebels Or anyone who just dares to be different And you've been trying for so long To find out where your place is But in their narrow minds There's no room for anyone who dares to do something different Oh, but listen for a minute Trust the one Who's been where you are wishing all it was Was sticks and stones Those words cut deep but they don't mean you're all alone And you're not invisible Hear me out, There's so much more to life than what you're feeling now Someday you'll look back on all these days And all this pain is gonna be invisible Oh, invisible So your confidence is quiet To them quiet looks like weakness But you don't have to fight it 'Cause you're strong enough to win without a war Every heart has a rhythm Let yours beat out so loudly That everyone can hear it Yeah, I promise you don't need to hide it anymore Oh, and never be afraid of doing something different Dare to be something more Trust the one Who's been where you are wishing all it was Was sticks and stones Yeah, the words cut deep but they don't mean you're all alone And you're not invisible Hear me out, There's so much more of this life than what you're feeling now And someday you'll look back on all these days And all this pain is gonna be invisible These labels that they give you just 'cause they don't understand If you look past this moment You'll see you've got a friend Waving a flag for who you are And all you're gonna do Yeah, so here's to you And here's to anyone who's ever felt invisible Yeah, and you're not invisible Hear me out, There's so much more to life than what you're feeling now And someday you'll look back on all these days And all this pain is gonna be invisible It'll be invisible 🍑

Virginia Woolf and poetry No one seemed to notice me Being young was getting so old Cheap beer and cigarettes Life was like a movie set And I seemed to be given no role But in times of trouble I can turn to my mother And I know that she gon' understand So at age 18 I cried to my mother And she told me, "young man" "There are moments when you fall to the ground But you are stronger than you feel you are now You don't always have to speak so loud, no Just be as you are Life is not always a comfortable ride Everybody's got scars that they hide And everybody plays the fool sometimes, yeah Just be as you are" They played me on the radio And everything was changing, so I thought I was all the way grown But I can still remember in that cold November When I realized I'm all alone But in times of trouble I can turn to my mother And I know that she gon' understand So at age 22 I cried to my mother And she told me, "young man" "There are moments when you fall to the ground But you are stronger than you feel you are now You don't always have to speak so loud, no Just be as you are It doesn't matter if you become some star Life is better when you open your heart You don't always have to act so hard, no Just be as you are" "There are moments when you fall to the ground But you are stronger than you feel you are now You don't always have to speak so loud, no Just be as you are It doesn't matter if you become some star Life is better when you open your heart You don't always have to act so hard, no Just be as you are"

Peachy you heard of her? She’s a young Australian singer and she’s really quirky and kind of weird. Not silly as such but shes really out there and strong. Watching her in concert is a theatrical experience, she pushes boundaries. Her song Glorious Heights is awesome, has got me through some shit days. Read the lyrics if u listen to it. Also like her song Pontius Of The Past. I like most of her stuff, it’s really unusual. Bit like me 😛 - Posted from rhpmobile

I hadn't heard of her but she has a distinctive style! Love her lyrics in general after listening to 4 songs to get a good taste, I can see how Glorious Heights sounds so much like my type of thing, but funnily enough I forgot to listen to the last one you mentioned, so I'm going to have come back to you on that one and still the rest including Tcm's inclusions, lol. I am so unmotivated right now, Peachy

In a post above I listed a song called Troglodyte, by Jimmy Castor Bunch. It’s a song I’ve known since I was about 7 or earlier I reckon. Anyway, a mate dropped around tonight for a couple of beers and we got into you tubing songs. I hit him up with the Troglodyte song and he loved it. Lol. Almost had tears from laughing, but then, I noticed more songs listed from the same artist, which I didn’t know of or ever thought to search for, however, there’s a song that I swear is part 2 of the Troglodyte song. Called Bertha Butt Boogie, lol. I sent the link to my bro and he agreed, and had a laugh about it to, as we used to rock out to Troglodyte and is a fun memory song for us. Later on I had to play it again for fun sake and then discovered another song that I’m sure Flight of the Concordes must’ve heard and used for influence. It was called Potential. I dare you to check them out. Your ears might suffer perhaps. But im still laughing now. Listen to them in order- Troglodyte, Bertha Butt Boogie then Potential. It also seems the name of the original album they are from was called Butt of Course, The Jimmy Castor Bunch, featuring the Everything Man!! So fkn cheesy it’s hilarious😂

Mariah Carey is a song I used to cry to, I just couldn't imagine having a hero within. Last week I was describing myself as more than a survivor and an actual hero. Now I have to imagine an outfit, something sexy, subtle, tight and strong. I think I'll dispense with the cape and go for something minimalist in autumn tones with a frill instead. Peachy

Thanks heaps Bliss, I just knew I recognised the pic, it is memorable. Welcome back. I'm on the laptop so I'm going to watch the video now on a decent size screen! His majesty can listen in the background so he's not entirely missing out, he's watching footy even though his team is out. I do love it when big names get together in the name of important issues and this was a good one. So beautiful and so sad. Thanks for sharing. That's on the list... Peachy

It's been a sad year for footy with losses of many memorable men. They had Conrad Sewell during the show to remember these guys. I love the song he sang Remind Me which focuses on the lessons we learn from our deceased loved ones. It's a beautiful thing to watch, if a video has been released, as the photos of footy legends we have lost this year were shown during the performance. The last showm, Danny Frawley was struggling with depression and many people miss him for the heart he offered despite his pain. Big hugs, 🍑
