Site tag lines

December 30 2016

This is probably going to end in tears, but what the hell...I'll give it a whirl. If we can play nicely we may be able to get some interesting input which could tie in well with the current gender equality forum. I was browsing through a site on poetry and one of the ads which popped up (how annoying is that!) was for an online dating site. The tag line for the site was along the lines of "where women always say yes". Hmmm. There are so many ways that could be interpreted although my immediate reaction was the enticement for men that they are onto a sure thing by signing up to the site. A couple of questions immediately leapt into my head; How do men actually view that tag line? Is it hell yeah, I'm going to get laid, they say the women always say yes....and thats means I'm in?! Or do you view it with a certain level of scepticism? Would you join the site? What would your approach to women be on that site? Women....how do you view that tag line? Is it an immediate red flag? Or do you view it as a challenge? My cheeky mind says that if I joined, my reply to messages would be yes I will chat with you....so therefore I lived up to the tag line! ;) Would you join the site? Why/why not?

Hmm. Always says yes huh? But what are the questions? 😁 if the men in that dating site posed questions like: Can I make dinner for you while you have your bubble bath? I.say Yes please. Would you like me to sensually rub some sexy oil on your tender body while I am dressed in my firey uniform, alternately moving my chest muscles and clenching mu tight buttocks? I say YES! Hubbahubba Would you like me to invite my other hot firey mate for a Mfm and.we can bring our own 'large Hoses'? I say AMEN SISTER!!! How can I.say no to any of.those? 😁 @Ct yeah right. who's gonna buy that? 😉 If a man is fool enough to believe that spiel and part with his money here, well he deserves what's cuming. ooops. Did Ya? 😁 😝

Gives out the wrong message I think. The amount of times I say no, I'd have to make up a whole new business model 😀 well done you for even reading a pop up ad. I don't get that far. I just get annoyed with them. As for tag lines, some are brilliant and key to the success of the company, though not the one you mentioned, and it's marketing. My favourite - Nike 'Just do it' 😉 I'd prefer sex or dating sites were more honest, keeping it fun, but not using false statements to lure men and their money. How about 'Women might say yes if you're not a dick etc etc your odds are about a million to one, but keep that quiet, we need your money' 😀

Sounds more like another service.... And even then free will is allowed. I think using that sort of wording is incredibly dangerous. We all have the right to say yes, no, maybe or even change our minds at any given time. If we feel uncomfortable, vulnerable or even scared we should be able to remove ourselves from that situation. There are so many variables to what someone may find acceptable and others don't. "Always say yes" to me implies that the men targetted by that slogans can do what they want without consideration to the women. Very dangerous ground in my opinion.

I'd read that sort of tagline as indicative of a scam site. I'd believe it as much as I believe those late night ads for the phone sex lines that would have you believe there are bikini models lazing in their jacuzzi's just waiting for me to call them so they can talk dirty to me. How can a profitable business fit THAT many spa baths in one building, is the $5/minute mostly electricity? And how could I hear her? Spas are noisy as hell.

No matter what the marketing spill is it's all up to the participants. People make or break a site like this and if anyone is enticed by a simple tag line then they clearly don't have the judgment and awareness to know they're not going to get anything out of it. - Posted from rhpmobile

That came to mind for that tag-line was "Yes - absolutely NO way". I'm sure many of the guys here would probably relate. But in general - if I saw that tagline I would automatically think to myself "what a load of crap". Wouldn't get my money unless they offered some form of absolute proof, which is extremely unlikely. Unless of course it was a site for a brothel. Tall

To get poor desperate guys to join up on the promise of easy sex. There would be vulnerable guys out there being taken advantage of sites like that by the thousands unfortunately. Plus you just know that once you've handed over your credit card details they'll make it damn near impossible to cancel your subscription. Not that *I've* ever fallen for any of that guff... p.s. or the site is full of escorts who will always say YES......to $$$$$!!!
