No, not really. I started smoking before I started getting laid. While there have been the occasional non-events, there were other factors contributing apart from smoking.I quit smoking for three years, and didn't notice anything different about my ability to perform when I took it up again....that said, I'm kicking myself for doing it

That's a new one on me. I smoked a little when I was young and foolish but never noticed any effects. I think my young raging hormones might have over powered any negative infulences :) BTW, you can't mention the blue pill in this thread without a gratuitous Matrix movie quote, so here it is: "This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill -- the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill -- you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes."

Thanks LoveCurvie I'm sure I had seen it done before in a post regarding squirting and a couple of others. Pity because the link I attached was so interesting and really informing. It was from a Male Health magazine. Thought you guys would be interested. Seems not many are going to give their opinions or game enough to share their experiences with this topic. Cheers all SFxx

I agree there have been a few recently deleted posts such as the one by yankmychain that have been removed. I think that one was going to turn out badly as some of the septic ex pats started saying things like its cool to own guns and this was just before the regrettable massacre in a primary school. Mike

Smoking and drinking can effect some men, especially if done in excess, it is a sensitive area for some as some are in denial and get angry if you mention it at all but that is their problem not their partners but it makes it difficult all around if the choose not to discuss it or even admit something is wrong then they wonder why the relationship isn't working, unfortunately some stick their head in the sand and hope it goes away.

The usual disclaimer: I'm not a doctor, don't take my BS as medical advice, talk to your medical professional, etc. etc. That said, I think in my layman's opinion that you are spot-on correct, Sensory_fun. Nicotine and other ingredients in smoke do effect blood flow in the body and therefore effect getting and maintaining erections in men. I had a gf who was a regular smoker and she got really cold in her extremities, particularly her feet. So if blood flow was reduced to her feet and fingertips I can believe bloodflow being reduced to a man's penis as well.Again, I'm not a doctor, but the combination of smoking and "little blue pills" sounds dangerous to me. Smokers are already at risk of circulatory system problems, like hypertension, heart attack and stroke. If my car's running rough because I haven't changed the fuel filter in years and not much fuel is getting to the engine, putting jet fuel in the car may make it run better for a while as more octane is forced through. But it might also make it blow up. Marijuana has the added disadvantage of being a central nervous system depressant, so turning down the volume on a lot of the body and mind's normal functions, including arousal. To get hard would be swimming upstream against the body's urge to be in a relaxed, snoozy, cartoon-watching, giggling, chip-guzzling state. Like taking a tranquiliser or a sleeping pill and then wanting to get frisky, weed and alcohol can make the little brain go to sleep even if the big brain tells it to stay up.Lastly, and I won't labour this point as it's skirting the borders into taboo territory, there can be a link between alcohol and other drug use and depression and anxiety. If a man gets anxious about his performance, getting and staying hard, or cumming at the Goldilocks "just right" time (not too quickly and not never at all) becomes a lot harder. Nicotine, marijuana and alcohol can increase anxiety, and people who are anxious are more likely to use them. If a man uses depressants, like alcohol and/or marijuana, and experiences some depression, it can also contribute to impaired libido and sexual function. Then there's the downward spiral of the blow to self-confidence from not performing sexually, making it more difficult next time, possibly resulting in more drug use instead... Then if he takes anti-depressant medication, God help him, the side effect from some of those can be more sexual dysfunction.Putting aside for a moment the health and other drawbacks from smoking anything, sexual dysfunction is certainly a reason to want to stay away from, or give up, the puff. If I were to choose to smoke one of the many consequences I'd have to accept would be that it could impair my sexual function.

i have long term blood pressure issues.....in the early days of my treatment i was warned off smoking...because of the damage it does to the finer blood vessels thru the body...and was told 30 years ago that erectile dysfunction was a distinct likelihood.... like drinking/diabetes/drugs....the effects are quite often not evident til mid life or later...its why many men my age are having health issues...luckily, i changed habits many years ago...to my benefit.

they get hard but no where near as rock hard and long lasting as a non smoker thats just my personal experience and I very very rarely will have sex with a smoker, the one guy I do I make him shower and stop smoking at least two hours before we meet and I can still taste it. non smokers tend to be a lot fitter as well, smell better and all the other good stuff that I need they also loose their own sense of smell, and that can be a bad thing if they are going to go down on someone same for drinking to much if it affects your senses and your having random sex its not always a good thing but its an addiction and I do feel for thosee caught in the grip

Miketheduc - Censorship is a pain when not required but I can understand its use when things go septic! Dragonfyre2010 - I agree, it's their problem. Denial usually comes with some for of addiction. Not a good place to be for anyone. slippery_halo - great post. Thank you. mikeandshel - wow, Mike good that you followed your doctors advice. Power to you for recognising it and having the will power to change your habit. Very impressed and I am sure Shel is too. tuscanred - couldn't agree more. That's why I highlight the non-smoker preference in my profile. Apart from the obvious health risks, reduced lung capacity and fitness, stale odours that exude from the skin, hair, clothing and bad breathe, stained teeth and fingers, and the higher risk of erectile dysfunction it is sad so many male smokers don't look to the future and help themselves. Prevention is so much easier than cure. JMO (I do love men, I just wish they would love themselves) SFxx

I trained in Andrology and my work for 2 years was inspecting and palpating penises everyday. Men literally take their pants off for me. So every single problem you can think about related to cocks - alright the urogenital area, I had to deal with. There is a positive association between smoking and erectile dysfunction as the toxins contained in cigarettes negatively affect the microvasculature not just of the penis but of the whole body. Diabetes and testosterone deficiency are also major factors related to ED. Some people carry genetic markers (genetically gifted) that protect the vessels or can effectively excrete toxins, so their erections are fine despite smoking but of course I endurance is lower.
