Social Experiment involving a Pineapple.....

Since we are going away in our caravan 3 or 4 times in the next 2 months we have decided to see what reaction we get, if any, from a pineapple sitting on a small table at the very front of our van. As some of us know, a pineapple out front or on the mailbox, is supposed to mean that the house has swingers in it. I have never seen a pineapple in that situation in my life. Has anyone ever seen one and asked the question?? Does anyone use a symbol that has worked?? I copied the following off the net. Are purple rocks or pineapples an urban legend or true sign of swingers?For years, rumors of signs of swingers have been reported. Purple rocks in the yard, white rocks by the front door, pineapples on mailboxes, upside down pineapple in the grocery cart… Etc.What is true and what is just smoke to identify a house of swingers? This could be debated, but maybe a better question is – How would you approach a potential swinger house anyway if you are thinking of joining in? Would you be able to tell or just make a fool of yourself.Let’s say your neighbor has a pineapple on their mailbox. If you wanted to try swinging, would you start flirting it up with the wife only to find out her husband is from Hawaii and it’s a welcome sign instead of a swinger sign? Not awkward at all.

Ok... Now that I think back a little, I may have seen something like that... In a caravan park perhaps... Yes, I was wondering what the pineapple on the bench with the "no single men" sign hanging around it was referring to. :P

OP, was the website American? The only thing similar to this I have heard of is the OMO box in the window... Old Man Out... Generally seen in larger mining towns, apparently.

But I have heard it used here as well. We have heard of black ring on the right hand. Also wrist bands. We think the best way is good ol RHP. At least when you push through the fakes and time wasters you can normally come up with a genuine couple or person.

As much as we are not seeking single men on our profile, we don't rule it out as an experience. You will notice we are not the couple who have "NO SINGLE MEN EVER,EVER,EVER" 4 times. . It is normally a spur of the moment thing for us, so if we have seeking single men on our profile our inbox gets busier than a public bar at happy hour.

haha yeah Ive heard that one, and FAB when he is back (Ill let you work that one out) As for the pineapple, etc. Nope, never heard of this. Sounds interesting and im certainly going to be keeping my eyes out now!I guess to approach I'd wait until they are outside and ask "whats the deal with the upside down pineapple?"

But I have never noticed a pineapple either. I would have thought that would be something you would definitely notice.... It sounds similar to a TV sitcom episode I've seen saying single women use a bunch of bananas to indicate they are available in the supermarket. I've heard black rings on the right hand means your a swinger. That's a thing right? Me and my then GF were camping somewhere up near Cairns. Another couple came in and set up camp almost opposite us about 50 metres away. I couldn't help but notice they put up a pole with a small red flag . When it was getting dark , we were sitting outside having a cool one when the female of the couple stripped everything off and appeared to be quite happy doing all the camping stuff in nude. We thought that was amusing but then we noticed another lot of campers also put up a red flag. Can't say for sure this was a sign , but they did get together soon after. So watch out for campers with the little red flag.. ?

You could try these 1. The ankle bracelet with symbols/icons attached. When you are sitting around Mrs casually displays the anklet to see what kind of reaction. If you don't wish to participate it could be explained away as a "trinket you picked up at a market in the previous town" 2. Creatively display a red pie with a green slice removed (bumper sticker, tablecloth, stubbie holder). Again it could be explained away as a symbol that "you are the green slice travelling minority escaping from the majority of suburban prison"

I buy a bunch regularly every few days, and it has never lead to even a second glance. 😕 The single folk of Albury must never have got the memo. And RHP bikini would definitely be less subtle, definitely not a bad thing for some of us slower people.. A neon sign above a caravan saying 'swingers' could also do the trick. - Posted from rhpmobile

😀 Sorry op, think we're kind of still on topic. I'm serious about the bikini though, maybe men could have a T-shirt or pair of shorts with a logo on it, something, anything, wrist bands lol I don't care, I just hate not knowing. No need to hide it away, let's strut our stuff 😉
