So splendour in the grass is coming up next weekend and I am getting very excited. Thought I would throw up a forum to see who is going, what bands/forums you areexcited to see. Also any funny stories from previous years?

I had a big bag of Tea Leaves which I had brought down from Nimbin that day at my camp site, which was about 500 metres from the entrance. I had the Tea Leaves placed under a bowl next to me. I was sitting down enjoying a lovely schmiggar when I see a police officer being dragged by his dog from the entrance, the dog running so hard his front legs are off the ground. I thought to myself, "hahaha, look at that dog. It's so ridiculous. Running so hard that it's standing. He.he.he." Anyway the person that dog was running to was me. It ran the full 500 metres with it's front legs in the air and tail wagging. I had my camp site searched, they looked everywhere except for where my tea was, under the bowl. What's funny is, after the police gave the all-clear, the dog refused to leave. And plonked itself down next to the tea. The officer repeatedly apologized, and had to carry the dog away. Moral of the story. Dogs are smarter than the police, always try to outsmart an officer not their animal.

How did everyone who went enjoy it? Was a very wet and fun weekend. Wombats, Royal Blood & Tame Impala were my highlights, too many great performances to list though. I like your style Mink, I want to continue on my 5 years and never grow up as well!

Had a great time again this year. Tame Impala were a highlight for me as well as The Church (Splendour needs to put a lot more older Australian bands IMO), Pond & Total Giovanni. It's actually getting better the more the organisers use that site.
