Spontaneous desire Spontaneous desire happens when that mental interest arises first. You’re just walking down the street or sitting at your desk when - BAM - you start to think about sex. You want to have it. Ideally, you’d seek out a willing partner and start hooking up. Then your body would start preparing for the actual act of sex. Responsive desire On the other hand, responsive desire happens when you feel that physical readiness for sex before you feel the mental desire. Typically, is that you’ll already be engaged in some sort of physically stimulating activity, then start to feel mentally interested in taking things further. If you ever agreed to have sex with your partner even though you weren’t fully in the mood, but then wound up thinking, “Huh, that was actually pretty fun”, you’re probably a responsive type. Do most women relate to responsive desire? As I get older I do. I think this is one of the huge misconceptions by men regarding sex that if women aren't actively asking for it / are actively horny for want of a better word, it means we don't want sex. It's estimated that 70% of men have spontaneous desire but only 15% of women do. I thought it was interesting , especially on here when men mention that they are always ready for sex and important to understand that women sexuality often doesn't work like that. Food for thought in understanding sexuality and having better sex.

Hard to place myself in either of those choices. Long term partner it’s a responsiveness deal (is that me getting lazy!?) but anyone novel and it’s spontaneous. Nothing to do with how attractive they are or the strength of the orgasms at the end. Spontaneous usually involves me suddenly noticing something in someone like their masculine voice, a good bum or a lingering look. It’s not often that I’m ready to go and seeking a man to fill that hot need. Though those days do exist. I can barely control where my eyes go when it happens and it’s actually really embarrassing because it can involve people I’m not even attracted to.

Recent incident.. Good looking girl coming towards me on the oposite side of the escalator.. Our eyes lock and become fixed , she smiles and l reach out and we brush hands as we pass.. All too quick and lm stunned what just took place ... . I think that would qualify as a spontaneous action ?
