Sunnyside Beach

We have gone a couple of times now and can see why some people we know love this spot. The water, sand and freedom to be totally yourself. We are curious tho, is their any unofficial rules for the beach. It is an amazing experience to see such a variety of humans and sexual orientations. Many men there, just walking up and down the beach. So far everyone has been polite so no problem but as a couple should we be laying our towels up one end,

I think it’s a nudist beach, not a swingers hangout, be careful with that..I don’t go to clothing optional beaches but have learned from these forums that nudists are not there for a sexual experience and don’t like being bugged by people who are and have the wrong idea. Good luck out there 😉

Urban myth is that people play in the bushes between the beach and the hilltop. The best place for your towels is right next to ours that way we can protect you from all those swingers, we'll even bring the sunscreen so you can relax knowing your fully protected😈😉

The beach is informally arranged. From the sandy beach in the South it's more family/social, then more rocks in the water and swingers on the beach, then gay guys up near the rocky point. Other users feel free to correct if we got it wrong. There is a loose group of people who police the beach and act on complaints. Saw a camera confiscated at one point. Given the number of fishing boats that troll slowly past the beach, the fishing must be excellent ;-)

We would love to go to this beach but are out off by the thought that someone may use their phone to take photos. Thoughts?

I have only been there for a brief swim in the water in front of the bathing boxes near the car park. Standing in the water with the bathing boxes at your back, is the nudist beach around to the left, past the rocky point? Or up somewhere to the right?

Great post guys! Thanks for putting it out there. We have recently discovered a nude beach close by and have been enjoying spending time there, but are keen to get to Sunnyside too. Good to hear what the etiquette is there 🌞

Looks like me and the wife are going this Monday for the first time, she just want to tan up all over, so hopefully none of the creeps are out and about.
