Swingers Parties: How to host?

May 14 2014

Hey all, seeking advice from couples who have hosted swingers parties in the past. We are thinking of hosting one on the Gold Coast later in the year but don't know how to go about finding a place to have the party at. We can not host it at our place as our apartment is too small & we have a flat mate. A hotel room would be nice but how do you deal with the no party policies & no noise or guests after 10pm? I was possibly thinking of booking a house but you have to book for a minimum of 2 nights & they are quite expensive. Do you usually charge people to attend if you have to book a place to host? I would love to know a way to get around this seeming confusing & pricey accommodation issue as I would love to host a swingers party as its something I've always wanted to do ;) Taby xx

We heard that Couran Cove used to allow Swingers Weekends some time ago. Whether they would allow a Swingers party, not sure there. But they do have a new function area which would be perfect. But it is tricky to get there.Try one section of a pub as a meet and greet night, but it would be no playing ;-(Try a bigger motel with a function area. Tell them people could book rooms as well as extra income for them. And everyone pays a fee to attend the main function area. So you could get guests that just want to come for a few hours but guests could stay the night too. Maybe book at least one playroom as such. Some motels don't get a lot of business some times of the year, so it could be a win for them too.Hope these idea's help. Let us know how you go !Cheers

You best option is to rent a private house, the risk is always the no party policy : ( We need a few Gold Coasters who are keen to offer their place for a venue! Always happy to help - just message me if you need any info. L

To cover your costs, but not make a profit.......... First step, work out how many couples & singles you want to invite, that will determine where you hold it........ A three bedroom hotel room is nice, you just make sure the desk is informed that it is your birthday and you want to have some drinks upstairs after dinner, you will make sure the noise will be kept down, but please do to hesitate to call if we make to much... (Even better is a friend who swings as well and you co-host) Now remember your already covered for three couples (nice size then is 6 couples all up). You can have a bottle of bubbly and cheese platter brought up from the hotel and then the rest, you supply..... You then divy up the cost. Good luck, they're fun...... BTW mid week is always cheaper with a hotel.

Bigmamma - please be careful with your advise.... in Qld it is illegal to take money for a party, in any way shape or form, unless you are a legal "sex on premise" operation ie a swingers club. If you ask for money you can be (and people have been) charged. We are very very behind the times up here. Sexpo have had to change the way they operate in Qld, this is also why we can't have events like Saints & Sinners.

There are a few people organising parties is SEQ. Try going to theirs and talking to them. None would ever charge for a party in Qld, but most party goers are happy to assist the hosts with the costs.

I've always been led to believe that if everyone's chipping in to covers costs then all's well. In much the same manner that contributing toward a pizza doesn't make you a restaurant either?

For bringing that to my attention.... Are you allowed for donations to the household?
