Swinging and kink

I've always been fascinated by the disparity and huge gap that seems to sit between swinging and kink crowds and why we can't incorporate the two in the one place together. Swinging is a lot of fun and generally involves attracted people finding other attracted people and having some form of physical fun together. Kink on the other hand generally involves finding someone you're partially attracted to who has or uses a set of skills that you're particularly attracted to. In my case I'm a rigger and a dominant and find a lot of pleasure in doing that. When I can find a willing rope bunny that is. Swinging on the other hand I've also enjoyed both at private parties and occasionally in the club scene (I do find clubs to be quite cliquey and a little hard to get involved in though). So going back to my original question and frustration, why can't we get the two to be mutually exclusive? I've thought about it often and am even now at the point of opening my own home (single guy with super clean 4 bedrooms) to host parties that would include kink and swing together. Thoughts?
