Quoting 'talldarkeuro' Cobblers beach area is usually good without being the fun police, I'd suggest everyone keeps Cobblers off anyone's radar for naughtiness as the councils and land managers for the area are just itching to take those areas off limits. They had a meeting today discussing their plans for redeveloping the site so that they'd have tourist walks all around Cobblers and Obelisk to the 'beehive' old military thing further around on the Obelisk side - basically ensuring that they have public access areas designed to encourage general public directly viewing the beach so that they can then remove the clothing optional status. Not saying don't go there, just be wary that they're looking for extra ammo to gut that whole area, so if you're part of a dogging group that goes there, be good little fuckers and clean up after yourselves. I've heard there are spots in Castle Hill around near the Bella Vista Hotel, but I think that is more of a private group than a regular or 'known spot'.

Quote: without being the fun police, I'd suggest everyone keeps Cobblers off anyone's radar for naughtiness as the councils and land managers for the area are just itching to take those areas off limits. __________________ This is an important point for both people who want to go dogging, and for the nudist community who frequent Cobblers. The nudists are aware that dogging goes on around Cobblers, and the danger that this poses for continued access to the beach. As such, they have discussed measures to take against dogging and exhibitionist behaviour, such as taking photos of offenders and calling park rangers and local police. As I understand it, however, most nudists tend to understand that Obelisk beach is a less family friendly beach, so you might want to consider going there rather than Cobblers. Probably a win/win for both parties. S.

Probably a win/win for both parties. S. I'd say the one at La Perouse - I'll admit that I'm biased because I don't go there, so it doesn't really matter to me what happens there. I'd be really annoyed to lose Cobblers/Obelisk to go sun myself. But, my logic goes, that A) La Perouse seems like it's pretty much all one big beat, the time I went to that beach, looking off the actual footpath it seemed like you'd be stepping off into the realm where Here Be Dragons and any number of things lurking in the bushes. So, you're more likely to get some action in that place. Cobblers/Obelisk doesn't seem like that anymore - you used to not be able to walk down to one of the rocks overlooking Obelisk to see if it was too busy without a few "bushwalkers" walking by, not so anymore. Barely ever see them anymore (on the downside, they used to keep the tracks well trampled down) B)La Perouse isn't an official nudist beach, so, technically nothing is being lost - it would be a shame to lose the "turn a blind eye" status, but I don't think that is anywhere as bad as losing official status, and Cobblers + Obelisk are so close together they'd likely be both lumped together under "make middle head clothed only" On last season, I'd say Obelisk isn't less family friendly so much as "less family frequented" - and it is simply "more gay". (With Obelisk having less and less bushwalkers, I think the two beaches will increasingly become alternatives depending on weather, and any storm activity - Cobblers gets blasted back to bare rock after big storms, Obelisk less so)
