Well sunlover.... .... a lot of women aren't too keen on seeing a close up of a dick in a profile photo..... but you've deliberately chosen to do that.... right?! So..... people do what they want to do, for their own reasons. The difference with my example though......is that Im 100% certain these women got a boob tattoo because they wanted to show it.... ...... and not because other guys think she should have it. DG

I had my first early this year.. When asked by those who thought they knew me better I simply told them the truth.. I did it because I wanted to . Something individual... No regrets ' took me a long time to decide on what I wanted so it wasn't a spur of the moment thing like alot of the young guys who walk in' open a book of tat's and say I'll have that one. Mine is on top of my shoulder down on my arm stopping just short of my short sleeve work shirt .. Why ? because there are still some business associates who look for any reason to be sour... This way I have the best of both worlds... The good thing is ' everyone who see's it give the thumbs up ... Not one negative..

A well designed tattoo can look awesome I think. There isn't one "type" of look I look for, but I do find certain alternative looks (may as well call it mainstream now) including, but not limited to, tattoos, piercings etc. Many years back I would occasionally browse a site called "Suicide Girls" (awful name...I know), as it had loads of pictures of alternative beauties. 😘 Having said that, I also find clean cut girl next door type women equally arousing. Maybe it is simply the female form that is the common denominator :) Who'd of thunk it? Him - Posted from rhpmobile

two tiny ones on my ankles, a dolphin and a sunflower. Ive seen a beautiful one of a Ulysses blue butterfly shaded underneath so that it looks like its taking off. Almost 3D. I might get that for my 60th I think they are pretty, and some on guys look really sexy. But each to their own of course.

I have never been a big fan. However there are a few people that carry them off well. Provided they are done well they look great. As for mastectomy scar tattoos and the recent rise in birthmark tattoos I have to say they look amazing. Would I have one? No but I was very impressed with the ones I have seen.

Worrying about what a tattoo's going to look like in 20 years or whether to plant that Palm in that spot of the garden or whether I should take that holiday alone, etc is just sowing the seeds of discontent. If no one is being hurt, living in the now is not such a bad thing. 20 years from now the options may no longer be available.

All to there own. I like tattoos on people if done well, that is where it falls over. So many bad tattoos, not only bad design but bad quality work and cheap inks result in all sorts of wrong. I could never commit to a marking that is for life for I know that what is everything important today is forgotten tomorrow. No such thing as forever and tattoos in my view say a lot about the mind, much more than the design may intend. So often I think, why? oh well we are free to do as we like.

I've been friends with a lot of sexy women with some incredible (and not so incredible) tattoos. What I find beautiful about it is that it's part of their self-expression. Each tattoo has a specific story to tell of where that person was at with their life at that point in time. Everyone expresses themselves in different ways - tattoos are just one more way of doing it. I've put a lot of thought into different tattoos for myself over the years, but have never gotten any just because 1) there aren't that many things that I believe in strongly enough to want to decorate my body with it permanently, and 2) by the time I get the spare cash I would need for one, something else comes along that I want/need to spend that money on more than a tattoo. That said, someone wants to get inked - as I said above, more power to them. Not to mention the fact that I keep asking my kids if I should get a tattoo and they keep telling me I can't.

...... totally underwhelmed by the tatts that I have seen ..... including (but not limited to) .... incorrect spelling .... colours that make one look jaundiced ...... poor art ...... very poor placement ..... .... maybe I have seen a few too many ' tears, stars and swallows' ........for one lifetime ...... to know that they are a communication system ...... so you need to ask yourself ..... what are they 'saying' about me' .. that I couldn't have said in a less permanent way ?

Your comment about a mastectomy scar being beautiful, moved me. I personally feel like the bride of Frankenstein when I look at the scars on my abdomen and a tattoo to cover that will make me feel better about myself, so I do understand why many women might make a choice to cover a scar with a tattoo. Even if the wonderful people in their life continually make them feel special and cared for, which I have no doubt you do 😎 Ulysses42, 'each tear, star or swallow' means something to the owner of that tattoo, they didn't do it for you, they did it to tell their story, that's their choice. People always ask about my tattoos and I'm happy to share, they tell a story of the happiest part of my life. Very few people will know about my life before then, it's too dark to keep recounting. I need the permanent reminder and I did it for me. My tattoos inspire me daily to be the best person I can be, to value the relationships that I have and to never take for granted what I have been blessed with. Mary xx

Are rarely just about the image chosen..they often represent events or people in someone's life, not just ink. When I got my small tattoo I was staying in Byron Bay with my daughter, she was just about to start university..we went to Sharkey's Tattoo Parlour, she got a small OM and has since added a few others....I love the beautiful Japanese designs, intricate and complicated but for now I shall just stay with my small mantra.xxFreya

Quoting 'ag4mg92' 😎 Ulysses42, 'each tear, star or swallow' means something to the owner of that tattoo, they didn't do it for you, they did it to tell their story, that's their choice. sometimes, but lets be honest, a HELL of a lot of kids out there got it because "tattoo stars on your wrist" was the next checklist item after getting plugs in their ears - plenty of others get the symbol for "first holiday in Bali without parents, plus free hair braiding package deal" then later on the story is formulated. Mine is just a number, it doesn't have a moving story to go with it, it isn't intricate, it is just the number I've always played with (even from team to team). In my sport you tend to become attached to your number and known by it. (It is fading and I always meant to get it stronger and crisper - but I also don't like the recovery or the ink gun) Back to the OP's question, I've never seen tattoos on boobs that I liked - they might exist, but I've never seen them.

There's a tattooist in the States who specialises in tattooing nipples on reconstructed breasts. He got into it by chance, through a friend or relative who'd had a mastectomy and a reconstruction. He takes his work seriously and this procedure has become known as getting a Vinny in certain circles. Those of you good search skills could probably find it on you tube.

...the inked or the cleanskins. Who cares when other people speak negatively of them. I'm not asking a question, because I don't care about opinions. Compliments are a positive vibe and are always accepted graciously...for anything...whether I totally agree or not. But the negative stuff? That old cliche about saying nothing if you can't say something nice...it's as true as it ever was, I believe.Non constructive criticism is just pandering to ego's...it's not delivered as a community service. I got my tattoo on my boob when I was 23. It then took me 20 years to get the next ones. I ended up with 6 in about 8 months. My wrists, ankle, back and most recently one on each side of my neck. I love them. My reason for the boob tatt was to show off, and it worked. Now I have them as my memories and the stories of my life.......I really couldn't care less if no one liked me because I have tattoos. They aren't there for anyone else but me....

Me personally im NOT a fan of chest tatts on chicks. I have tattoos and dont mind women who do either, i just think that is one area that shouldnt be messed around with. Frankly it looks straight up tacky and cheap and is a great way to ruin a beautiful part of a womans body

  • RHP

I believe you took that too far. I had no problem with you not liking them, each to their personal taste, that's fair enough, but to call it "tacky and cheap" is offensive. You didn't bother even qualifying it with "in my opinion" you just came out and stated it as a matter of fact (which it isn't) rather than a personal perspective of taste. I've seen many attractive, tattooed breasts on both men and women and that is a fact (I was attracted to them therefore they are attractive). Please take a little care, in future, not to cross that line between being merely opinionated and being rudely insulting. xxx

In his defence,he did start his post with "me personally", so thats his take on it.Anyway, I have 9 tattoo's and have more planned as my life unfolds, I use tattoo's as my diary I suppose. But I respect peoples personal views against them.My mother checks me over for new ones every time she see's me and I get an arm slapping each time she see's a new one. I personally dont like the neck ones that are becoming popular with both young girls and guys lately.

The quality of the artist is usually the determining factor on whether a tattoo looks good or not, regardless of placement. I've seen some amazing boob/chest tattoos and I've seen some shockers, what they all share however was that the owner felt that they wanted that tattoo and it's not my place to judge
