Songs stay with you and its amazing how quickly they take you back to those memories, usually attached with strong emotions. I know the song that stops me and she knows it too....and its our song and will be for many, many years more. On a less lovey note..."eye of the tiger" makes me break into a jog everytime I hear it! Awkward around the shopping centre. 😊 - Posted from rhpmobile

"Dreams" and "Go your own Way" - long lost love "Someone that I used to Know" - think we can all relate to that one , the lyrics were so relevant once "Wish you were here" - for one who passed and a beautiful song called "Weeks" you wont find it, cause it was written by someone for me, nope cant listen to it anymore And struggling to listen to anything by The Clash at present, yep The Clash All of these are quickly skipped through on my Ipod, just cant go there

Will always make me tear up: "How to disappear completely" by Radiohead. I was scheduled for brain surgery and trying to come to terms with all that was going on (not to mention writing my will). It was like an out-of-body experience and this song summed up perfectly how I was feeling. "I'm not here. This isn't happening." Thanks for reminding me, OP! :-)

This Stones track is my go to wallowing song every time I break up with someone I care about. As I stand by your flame I get burned once again Feelin' low down, I'm blue As I sit by the fire Of your warm desire I've got the blues for you, yeah Every night you've been away I've sat down and I have prayed That you're safe in the arms of a guy Who will bring you alive Won't drag you down with abuse In the silk sheet of time I will find peace of mind Love is a bed full of blues And I've got the blues for you And I've got the blues for you And I'll bust my brains out for you And I'll tear my hair out I'm gonna tear my hair out just for you If you don't believe what I'm singing At three o'clock in the morning, babe, well I'm singing my song for you - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'Twinkes' "Wish you were here" - for one who passed +1, I came here to say this too Also If I ever leave this world alive - Flogging molly always makes me choke up. If I ever leave this world aliveI'll thank for all the things you did in my lifeIf I ever leave this world aliveI'll come back down and sit beside yourfeet tonightWherever I am you'll always beMore than just a memoryIf I ever leave this world alive If I ever leave this world aliveI'll take on all the sadnessThat I left behindIf I ever leave this world aliveThe madness that you feel will soon subsideSo in a word don't shed a tearI'll be here when it all gets weirdIf I ever leave this world alive So when in doubt just call my nameJust before you go insaneIf I ever leave this worldHey I may never leave this worldBut if I ever leave this world alive She says I'm okay; I'm alright,Though you have gone from my lifeYou said that it would,Now everything should be all right She says I'm okay; I'm alright,Though you have gone from my lifeYou said that it would,Now everything should be all rightYeah should be alright

Never mind me ‘cause I've been dead Out of my body, been out of my head Never mind the songs they hum Don't want to sing along with nothin' that I said Let him bring you happiness, happiness It's hard to come by, I confess I'm better at this than happiness, If you find it, share it with the rest of us Never mind the words that came Out of my mouth when all I could feel was pain The difference in the two of us Comes down to the way you rise over things I just put down Let him bring you happiness, happiness It's hard to come by, I confess I'm better at this than, happiness If you find it share it with the rest of us, the rest of us Never mind me ‘cause I've been dead Out of my body, been out of my head Never mind the curse of war Proud like a badge that just don't shine no more Let him bring you happiness, happiness Hard to come by, I confess I'm better at this than happiness, If you find it, share it with the rest of us

Tim McGraw n Faith Hill " It's your Love " Always reminds me of Treeman and our special bond, Even honoured (or dishonoured depends on who's judging) the country couple by dressing up as them for couples at Pride in Perth at The Court in 2011 in support of our eldest :)) They also began their relationship in late 1996 :) and released this duet not long after, so it held meaning for us .... :)

'Hearts Like Ours' by The Naked and Famous. It may not be poignant forever for me, but it has been ever since it came out. It totally sums up a situation I was in a couple of years ago. Every time I hear it, it wrenches me back to that place and brings back bittersweet memories that I'm not ready to let go of just yet. Much love, Elle xx

I know the pieces fit ' cause i watched fall away , Mildewed and smouldering fundamental differing Pure intention juxtaposed , will set two lovers souls in motion Disintegrating as it goes , testing our communication The light that fueled our fire then has burned a hole between us so We cannot seem to reach an end , crippling our communication I know the pieces fit ' cause i watched them tumble down No fault , none to blame , it doesn't mean i don't desire to Point the finger , blame the other , watch the temple topple over To bring the pieces back together , rediscover communication The poetry that comes from the squaring off between And the circling is worth it , finding beauty in dissonance There was a time that the pieces fit , but i watched them fall away Mildewed and smouldering , strangled by our coveting I've done the math enough to know the dangers of our second guessing Doomed to crumble unless we grow , and strengthen our communication Cold silence , has a tendency To atrophy any sense of compassion Between supposed lovers , between supposed lovers I know the pieces fit , i know the pieces fit , i know the pieces fit I know the pieces fit , i know the pieces fit , i know the pieces fit I know the pieces fit , i know the pieces fit

avicci's 'addicted to you' and john legend's 'all of me' will always be about the love I felt for someone who was like heroin to me. Not healthy and a terrible cold-turkey period that followed, where the song 'amnesia' by 5 secs of summer was the only way to describe how I felt. Can't listen to any of those songs and walk out when I hear them. - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'Meander' Will always make me tear up: "How to disappear completely" by Radiohead. I was scheduled for brain surgery and trying to come to terms with all that was going on (not to mention writing my will). It was like an out-of-body experience and this song summed up perfectly how I was feeling. "I'm not here. This isn't happening." Thanks for reminding me, OP! :-) I am hearing you with "How to disappear completely" by Radiohead. If you don't mind sharing on here, can you elaborate on your condition and surgery?? If not could you please send me a PM?? I too had brain surgery. Last Xmas Eve in fact and again on Boxing Day as my condition deteriorated rapidly. I am lucky to be alive. I have been in limbo ever since and have half my skull missing since then. I had quite a comprehensive discussion with my Neurosurgeon this morning and for once I can finally see some light at the end of the tunnel... well I'm hoping anyway!! I am booked in for my third op next month to replace my missing skull bone which is actually resting in a "bone fridge". There is no guarantee that this third op will be a success. Not to mention the anxiety and stress that accompany my situation.... as you know!! My questions' for you are.... what happened with you? Why? What did you do to cope with your situation? Did you have support from friends and family? Did you lose your job? Are you okay now???? I have many more questions to ask you.... any information you may provide will be greatly appreciated. #stuggleville #Ugh!! Back on topic.... what song currently springs to mind is "Brain Damage" by Pink Floyd!!!

So scared of dark you lock the door My dear it's only for a night For a night We closed our eyes, ignore the rules Oh my gosh this isn't right It isn't right They try to stop my soul of corrupting you I know it wasn't right, it wasn't right But know, our time is drawn We have to leave and go And find all the ones we care for so they know They know, they know They know, know, know, know I forgot about the outside world, Now I put my morals asleep You forgot about the outside world, now And I, we put our morals aside Forgive me, forgive me They know, they know They know, know, know, know

This was our wedding song. It reminds me why I fell in love and am still in love with my man : You can say you love me And I'll believe that's true Trusting you is easy 'Cause I believe in you There is nothing I would miss As long as we're in love like this All I have is all I need And it all comes down to you and me How far away this world becomes In the harbor of each others arms I feel like I've known you forever and ever Baby, that's how close we are Right here with you is where my life has come together And where love has filled my heart You know I'd go anywhere As long as I have you to care All I have is all I need And it all comes down to you and me How far away this world becomes In the harbor of each others arms And with the love you bring I never want for anything I found what I've been searching for in you Read more at http://www.songlyrics.com/beth-nielsen-chapman/all-i-have-lyrics/#Qrx84oJVZf3CWcZf.99
