I had sex once with my wife at this time of month. We were in the shower and it was just as good as any other time, a little better actually as it was a bit taboo we thought.

I won't play with fb's while I do, but with my husband, why not? Just take oral off the table and its all good.....five days is just too long to go without. And for those guys and girls who don't care and are happy to play with playmates at that time....go for it.

For once, I think I wuv you (even if you don't like to watch me play with aubergines) Quoting 'RunAwayJoinCircz' Exactly, there's absolutely no physical reason why you shouldn't, It's just messy. But I've had friends be at their most rampantly horny during the period so go for It, just don't use the finest Egyptian Cotton :D Or do and fuck that shit up And while we're on the subject....I know the stereotype is 'Bitch-from-Hell' but i gotta say that 75% of the time It means huuuuge affection, cuddles and sexiness, weed-munchies-DVDs, and cleaning-frenzies. Quoting 'RunAwayJoinCircz' Quoting 'madotara69' Do you mean "If" there is absolutely no physical reason? Like stomach cramps and stuff like that Mado Mado Tara xx No In answer to the OPs question i'm saying there is no medical reason why you shouldn't, It won't cause any harm or disease or damage If you're in the mood. OBVIOUSLY if someone doesn't want to have sex on their period (which isn't what the post was about) then that trumps everything else, and obviously i don't see any attraction In having sex with someone who doesn't want to have sex, period or no period. I'm saying the stereotype image of a Woman on her period is insulting and disempowering, and has little bearing on reality (in my experience). Just my viewpoint from my experience, not saying anyone has to agree with it, sheesh. I can only speak for myself but I am at my horniest around that time of month, and I know that sex helps with the cramps for me

Quoting 'RunAwayJoinCircz' Wha....i was all for the Aubergines, If i remember correctly i said 'You Know where to find me' See the problem with being a sarcastic prick is nobody gets It when you're being sincere.....WOLF! Still I guess that's a no on the Weed-Munchies-DVDs, but nobody's perfect :D Anyway i should seriously quit while I'm ahead..... I agree with Tulips, that was a very decent and sincere thing to say

See I am more than happy too have sex, while Tara is having her period, but it don't mean she will let me. It's her call and I fear a severe medical condition if I were to force the issue, stitches probably.

Never fear:-) :-) perhaps the taboo was more originally about women having a respite from from sex than anything else.In the orthodox Jewish tradition, the women have a special bath ,a mikveh deep enough to stand up in.Women are required to bath in the mikveh after their period and after childbirth for purification and before they can resume having sex with their husbands again............In the Hindu tradition women are not allowed to enter a temple while menstruating...The other reason why women would often have sex during their period was because they thought it was a form of birth control....I have no idea why men or women would be so squeamish about this but lots of people 'don't even want to taste their cum...:-) great work Circus, lovely post hugs xx Q

Hubby would, but alas no :(. I had an old boyfriend who was all fine with it and a few dark towels laid out would work well........ But girls, darn it's hard being that horny and frustrated, the family stays clear of me...... Got to remember those Beppys.....

Even Q wuvs you ;) Adding to what Q said, in Muslim countries, women are told they are at higher risk of getting infection if they have sex during their period. In some Asian countries, even just walking under a woman's underwear disgraces you and women have to wash their underwear separately from the rest of the family's. Makes you wonder how they manage to have so many children :P - Posted from rhpmobile

I don't have the slightest care in the world if I am seeing the person or have built a strong connection. It does gross me out a little if I don't the person. Can't really explain this contradiction - but essentially I don't think it is a big deal and should be seen as normal.

It all depends on the woman. We were told by our gynae NOT to make love during menstruation as often the semen may upset the PH balance of an already sensitive vagina and encourage candida and or other infections that can take hold and or live on the blood present in the menstrual fluid. Whether the gynae have us the right advice or not, we don't know, as we were not prepared to risk it. But them the last year has had major PH problems due to weight loss...,,. And so the old vagina has been very sensitive to conforms, lubricant and even Semen ( as we have been married for almost 17 years we don't use a condom when we make love to one another as sex with one another is 100% safe. However we always use a condom if and when we play with others. - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'Qefenta2' The other reason why women would often have sex during their period was because they thought it was a form of birth control....remembering back to sexual reproduction lectures, pretty sure its highly unlikely to get pregnant if you've started menstruating. Basically your body has given up on conception this cycle and is flushing out the build up of the uterine wall, which had grown to receive a fertilized egg. Even should a sperm find and fertilize an egg during this period, its unlikely that the egg wont simply be flushed out with the uterine wall. So this is pretty reasonable.

More power to those ladies, who have rampaging hormones abound at that time. I don't. I just get really tired and no amount of Lindt chocolate in the world can satisfy me. I will consume. I go all Bridget Jones like and retreat onto my sofa with a good book, a better dvd in hand and me time for about 3 days I'm not opposed to sex during menstruation and I'm great advocate of the Beppy as well - although have at times experienced great anxiety in trying to retrieve the bloody thing - pun intended, I prefer time out. I look at it as my time to recuperate, down time where I don't have to be on. Where I can nurture and nourish me and I do. If I seeing someone, then I simply don't see them, I have other things to do and if I have a live- in lover, well I find that this time can be very rewarding for our relationship on many levels, we connect in other ways. Oh, but when times up

By above quotes I'm going to assume we are at our finest whilst menstruating if we are able to feel comfortable about it. I'm ravenous at that stage... Let's take the stigma away from menses. I recall my family GP trying to keep the mood light whilst giving me my first pap smear as an early teen, "Did you know it's more hygienic to go down on a woman whilst she is menstruating than kissing anyone on the mouth?" Yes it's messy, but we've all got running water right? I understand the taboo & the discomfort many may feel, but just let it go & enjoy each other. I currently have an amazing lover that celebrates me, bleeding or not. We enjoy each other for pleasure, not stigma. A good towel or two can protect a 3000 thread count. Napisan can cover errors....

Sperm cells can stay alive for days inside a woman, so though the chances of pregnancy are reduced, having sex during a women's period is not an effective from of birth control. The sperm can still fertilise a new egg.

I can feel my eggs jump, so I know when I ovulate, but I've heard of women who have been trying to fall pregnant for ages unsuccessfully. They discovered that they ovulate during menstruation, and fell pregnant soon after shagging during Aunt Flo. So not a good form of contraception at all.

Quoting 'Meander' Sperm cells can stay alive for days inside a woman, so though the chances of pregnancy are reduced, having sex during a women's period is not an effective from of birth control. The sperm can still fertilise a new egg. Taking day 1 as the beginning of the menstrual cycle and the cycle as a nominal 28 day one... days 9 - 16 are the best days to get pregnant... Sperm live around 5 days at best. The egg only lives around 24 hours and is available for fertilization around day 14. People with very short overall cycles, but extended menses can end up bringing these numbers down to around the last day of their period though, around day 6 or 7. To get pregnant from intercourse on day 1 or 2 you'd have to have the Bear Grylls of sperm to survive that long.

I don't have a problem with sex during my 'period' (I'm on the pill so it's not a period as such), but I would only do it with someone I know pretty well and who I know won't be weird about it. But I don't have to worry about it as much because I use my pill to skip every second period....I'd skip more but for some reason my body just won't have it. I know some women can skip 2 or 3, or even indefinitely, lucky bitches

She changed when she did though, it was like an emotional roller coaster. She didn't do it so we could have sex, as we had sex during her period many times. Only a women would know the discomfort, but that is what she was avoiding. Yet it's like it caught up to her any way and talk about irritable, it was like two fold when she did skip them. I thought it was amazing that she could use the pill to skip a period, though it seemed mother nature said "ok, but it's gonna cost you".

Who says it not?? The only people who say it's not Ok are the ones who don't like it or from those who don't have knowledge or understanding of how a woman's body works. Funny how some males say they do on here, when in-fact they don't!! Especially those who don't like the thought or sight of a little of a woman's mucus, just wait till they see some blood!! Man, I would love to see the dudes eyes and reaction when they see blood on the sheets. HAHA watch them FREAK OUT!! Sorry dudes we can't put a bandaid over it ....they are called pads for a reason. I thought it was amazing that she could use the pill to skip a period, though it seemed mother nature said "ok, but it's gonna cost you". The pill was developed by a guy Gregory Pincus Apparently after he was persuaded by a woman who knew a woman who knew a woman that had died giving birth to a squillion kidletes during her life. In the days before BC (bet you thought that actually stood for Before Christ ) women actually had alot less periods during their child bearing years as they spent alot of that time pregnant. So in a way by skipping periods (and in many cases many at a time) is really just replicating what nature intended womankind to go thru pre 1960 B.C. ). There is a usless piece ot trivia.

If performing oral, you can concentrate more on the clitorus and the blood just acts like extra lubrication. Keep towels handy though. lol. As a woman, I would imagine that you would have to be comfortable with your partner though............. A definite yes from me. lol.

I've never had any issues with it, either when I'm taking it or by using it to skip 'periods'. And it's not really so amazing, considering that you stop having normal periods when you take the pill and instead you have what's called a withdrawal bleed. Continuing straight on to the next set of active pills from the previous ones just prevents that withdrawal bleed, but if I try to skip more than one I start bleeding anyway.

kind of messy, but when i was married, there were times we didnt want to have kids so, I guess that is a time where she is lees likely to get pregnant. we went by a 'cycle' chart that the doctor told us to do for having or not having kids.more recently, I had a lady friend who would be EXTREMELY horny just before and after her period, so Off we would go, and it turned out she would be just beginning her period, and be real apologetic about it, but hey, i got my jollies and so did she, we just had a mess to clean up:)i would say that is the only downside, plus i love going down on a woman, and have done it once or twice, again not knowing she was starting her period, and it kind of killed the moment for me. couldnt go down on a woman knowing she was on her period.I even hate watching tampon commercials on tv:(
