The Chase

June 19 2012

I'm in the process of trying to cross the line with a buddy of mine, the line of being "just" friends to maybe becoming "friends with benefits"..She is playing hard to get, in a playful way, we love flirting & teasing each other, and add to the mix sexy talk here, direct references of what "it" would be like, and so on.. *grin*my question to the Women of RHP, "generally" speaking, do you find the "chase" sexy, the build up, the games, the innuendo and everything else that goes with it, to the point of extending it, making the "chase" last longer.. I'm confident that you all do, but wanted to hear your direct comments..I have to admit, I am enjoying it a lot, it has been a refreshing change, to the point of getting a brief glimpse of her fit tummy and top of her undies was the most erotic and sexy thing I've seen in ages.. I look forward to our chats and meets, and find it cute and sexy how we still shock each other with actions and comments..it's by all means not a dating situation, far from it, but we do have expressed our enjoyment of sexual encounters -no strings attached - (we both live far too busy/complex lives for that) hence my borderline obsession with breaking that barrier.. I say borderline because -as she pointed out- "potentially" our friendship could change if we did have sex.. as you can all guess.. I disagree lolTD&H

Camille Paglia   Pursuit and seduction are the essence of sexuality. It's part of the sizzle   and I think anticipation,is half of pleasurex Hugs H

Are you prepared to lose your friend if things dont work out?   I ask because this has happened to me. I crossed that barrier and no longer have that person in my life because of it. Confusion can happen for either person between feelings of friendship and what that can mean with the sexual aspect. Sure right now you both think you can handle the transition but that doesnt mean it will stay that way further down the track.   Sometimes you should just leave it at the tease.   Kisses Focus

I enjoy the chase when it's led by the man. I'm a strong, confident, independent woman, sometimes dominant, but when it comes to sex or relationships I melt when a man takes control. Or perhaps moreso, when he has the strength and confidence to take control - he doesn't have to do it all the time. The other key thing for me is that the chase has to be about more than sex, it has to be about me as a person and vice versa. Actually, the more subtle the sexual pursuit is compared to the overall pursuit, the more I find myself seduced :)

Agree 100% with you on this. I love a man making the chase exciting, altho being of strong will myself I cant help but to chase the frightened little things anyway. The thing is guy's think if your chasing them you are after more than a casual sexual friendship. Quoting 'lil_bit_angelic' I enjoy the chase when it's led by the man. Enjoy the chase and its intoxicating build up. The anticipation is delicious.   I enjoyed the same sexual tension, teasing and flirting with a friend who became a FWB and it lasted passionately for over a year. We don't hook up as much anymore but have remained best mates and we can talk to each other about anything. When it works it is a wonderful thing.   Hopefully you have done enough respect and trust building in the process so that if and when it fizzles out you still have your friendship.   If you feel it is right, go for it.   To answer your question about extending the chase. You will know how long to chase as it eventually gets to a point where both of you just want the prize! LOL   SFxx
