Most of my life has been outside the comfort zone. Just sometimes need a good kick to make the first jump.

I've done a few things this year to step outside my zone.I am proud I have. It's helped me for personal growth and to be a better person. I'm proud of myself for doing it, BUT...then I slide back into my little zone, where I feel safe.I need to take my time when stepping out.Introverts (like myself) find it difficult sometimes.FOXY

I have always had a fear of being held under water and drowning or falling from a great height and splatting on the ground......so I decided to go scuba diving and then sky diving to overcome these fears and feel empowered.Turns out I fucking hate diving, both terrified the absolute bejeezus out of me.BUTI did them, can say I have done them and am just a little proud

I tend to be introverted, so I put myself in a position where I regularly speak in front of large crowds, including some 20,000+ crowds at political rallies in my early 20's.I'm scared of heights, even looking out a window in a tall building freaks me out. So I climbed the harbour bridge and did the longest freefall an amateur can do for my first sky dive.I'm a very private person, so I get naked at swingers clubs. Was never a big fan of children, so have 4 of them to teach me.Balance is everything, and to me that means not just doing what you have always done. Get out there and live life!Mr C

I love to face my fears, it's integral to growth... Amongst other things I've jumped off a 4 metre diving board to see if it would help me with my fear of heights... It didn't and it was bloody scary but I got a huge rush at least.

Public speaking, so I became a President of a local charity organisation. Made me get over that one real fast.Though, I'm still the reserved, quiet one that's off to the side in most groups. Heights so I took up rock climbing, still cant look over an edge of a building when I'm not harnessed. But have no problems scaling it.Moto's, came off a couple whilst I was really young. Took up Mountain biking a couple of years back to build my confidence on two wheels again. Now riding dirt bikes every now and then.Getting my gear off in front of people, that's the next big one to overcome.

I went hang gliding off a side of a cliff. Loved it, but I don't think I could bungy jump or sky dive. I travel a lot which puts me out of my comfort zone... Well if I travel on my own, which admittedly is rare these days. Last time was 3 years ago when I went to Cambodia & Vietnam on my own. Was scary as I hadn't travelled on my own for years and I haven't travelled much in Asia either. Don't know what I was worried about it. The minute I stepped out of the airport and smelt the foreign air I couldn't help smiling.. To me that is utter freedom. New places, new faces... And nobody knows your name! Lol

is just something or someone that you haven't encountered or done yet....people who have no fear are not brave, they just have no fear.....as for personal growth, phhtt such a first world nonsense

In a word...THIS. I am usually pretty reserved and straight laced (at least I was).We talked about being with another couple for a while and when we started it was just with guys. Even our first couples experience was outside my comfort level. We are so in love and I was worried about us...time has shown that we have nothing to worry about when we let "play things" into our life. Our relationship has actually strengthened, we communicate more now than we ever did in the past.At times I still have twinges of being uncomfortable, but we have had some great experiences and met some great people and look forward to more.

when I agree to sleep with someone twice. I will definitely be outside my comfort zone if I ever decide to commit to a relationship again. Just the thought scares the shit out of me.Other than that, learning to fly a plane was exciting.

I don't know where to start! There have been many times in the last year I have done things I never thought I would. My first night at a swingers club was an experience, but strangely comfortable. Three that come to mind: A cave (scuba) dive in Sicily, giving up smoking and immigrating to the other side of the world by myself.

Especially the two on one of meeting couples. Can be petrifying but so worth it for some of the amazing people I've met. Jess xx- Posted from rhpmobile

Love scuba diving and I have my divers licence. But I don't know if I could ever do a night dive. Shit that must be terrifying.... Hmmmm. Maybe I should. Or maybe dive with sharks. Haven't done that either.

Night dives are awesome,it's a bit of a strange feeling just before you jump in but it's a totally different experience once you're down there. And you gotta do a shark dive :-)- Posted from rhpmobile

What can I say other than... Love It! That so many people face their fears, in some instances with such extreme measures as jumping out of a plane, is just awesome. To some people some achievements listed may be small but I'm sure to each listed here they were huge.MissPoppins you are now officially my heroine!
