The strangest compliment you ever gotten?

October 23 2014

The other day I had a client tell me: "No matter how much I know you like to hit women I still reckon you're one of the nicest guys I know." I was thought that was rather sweet and I was genuinely touched but I just wished she'd not said so loud in the crowded gym where I work. She knew that I've had a couple of partners that enjoyed whips/floggers/paddles/etc. but everyone else that overheard didn't quite get the context. I got quite a few odd looks that day. Anything similar happen to anyone else?

Who the hell say "hit women?" Not only is that shocking it is missing the whole point of it all. I take it that was a no idea muggle?

So people now think you hit women and you're ok with that?! Sorry, not answering the question but I think that's bad.

You should have very quickly put those comments back into context with the person who came out with them, so as to let the others who overheard, know exactly what was meant. And afterwards, have a word with same about being somewhat more discreet about private affairs... Tall

This particular client in as far from open-minded as they come. She's asks a lot of questions to which I give honest answers but she always struggles with the concepts. In her world of "Right" and "Wrong" a lot of what I get up to falls under the "Wrong" category but she's never really judged me too harshly for it. Her vocabulary on the topic could use a little bit of work though. As to whether or not I care... not really. If someone's the type to judge a person from something they overheard on a gym floor I probably want nothing to do with them anyway. I'm very open about my interests so it no big secret that I'm into a bit of kink.

Strangest compliment: You look just like Karen Carpenter, only healthier. (Seeing she died from long-term damage caused by anorexia and all.)

Tall that putting it into context with the whipping, paddling and flogging women would look any better to the general public, lol.

that I need to stop talking.... only because I am giving them a hard on, not because they don't want to hear what I am saying, lol.

One of my staff said to me can I talk with you. We went into an office and sat down. She said "Im applying for another role in the company."" I said why?? "Well uhm... i dont want to talk about it." Ok is it something wrong? "Well ...... I have a crush on you. I have to come to work and look at you everyday and it's killing me!" What do you do with that!??? 4 weeks ago

I would be one of those people Steele, if I heard someone make that comment to a man and they didn't immediately pull them up I would want absolutely nothing to do with guy. I am surprised that you think that would be a reasonable thing to even say?!? Actually, I would have probably would have probably reported it to management actually.

And I guess it would depend on the tone of the conversation ... So maybe I wouldn't have reported. Would depend.

Sorry Steele, I am going on like a pork chop and I am sure there are loads of readers saying here is another thread going to turn all nasty. So i am sorry about that. I blame tiredness, I have been travelling all day. But on a serious note Steele, do you work at the gym? If you do that is your work place and if this woman is thinking that most of what you are saying is "wrong" things could get complicated for you especially when she makes comments like that. Be careful! You wouldn't be the first one to loose your job over a misunderstanding about what you do in your private time.

Recently I had my lover over and in the morning he looks at me and says " you are a funny little thing aren't you?" I still think about that and wonder what he meant by that? Is that a compliment or does he thing I am a weirdo? LOL

Tall that putting it into context with the whipping, paddling and flogging women would look any better to the general public, lol. perhaps a more imaginative "cover story" at the time would have still been a bit more appropriate, rather than leaving it up to the imagination of others apart for the immediate suspicions that would have been caused by the others at the gym about "hitting women" - and still have that quiet conversation afterwards about better timing.... Is that a compliment or does he thing I am a weirdo? LOL It really appears to be about the context in which that was said. However, without knowing that, I would say he would just have been feeling in a slightly joyous mood and meant it in a friendly manner. Tall

On a nudist beach, my then girlfriend said "I bet you're pleased with your size right now." That really stopped me in my tracks, as I'd just come out of the sea and looked fairly paediatric from my viewpoint. But she meant it. It had the unpleasant effect of making me check out the other guys.... - Posted from rhpmobile

Not in a sexual context, but a guy I know was bitching about women in general and saying how much he tries to avoid hanging out with them....after staring him down long enough for him to realise we were hanging out at the time, he then added, "not you though, your not like other chicks, your not stupid and bitchy, your more like hanging out with a bloke".....I'm fairly certain it was supposed to be a compliment...I chose to take it as one!

Ok so that was a terrible story sorry dude. But if it was left at whats the strangest compliment you ever gotten. Even that question could use some grammar and editing but it was an alright question otherwise. Anyway I have had a fair share of backhanded compliments haha. Like "you've turned out pretty good, even for a mistake" (said in good gest and humor) and I've also found wierd I was told "your b.o smells really good" haha like what do you say to that? I like the hair on your feet. Nobody likes general b.o right?

No brags, no sexual references, no self promotion.... just a nice comment. At a wedding out in the country, and a mate Ive known for some time, and we've helped eachother during good and bad times...... says to me.... "You make my life a better place by being in it". Warm and fuzzy bro comment.

"Wow, you really don't look your age" Hp was feeling pretty good at that point 😄 Saturday night was a follow up date and she's telling me of one recent partner who she felt was a bit young for her... "How old is he ?" I asked... "47" was the reply " to which I pointed out my age and she replied "oh ! I thought you were 57 !" Lol... She is lovely in spite of that one though... 😋 Hp xo💋 Because you're worth it...
