This is Big Brother

July 29 2013

Since Big Brother started another series tonight - my question is - how would you go in the big brother house? Firstly depending if you are a fan of big brother. Would you sit back n take in all the personalities first before showing your true personality or would you jump in from the very start..... And of course would you reveal your rhp side? 😋

Considering that I would rather remove an eyeball with a fish fork than watch big brother.....I would have declined to be on it if invited lol

Topics similar to this come up each year when Big Brother begins. And each year many of the forum regulars love to say they would never watch it.But has anyone ever stopped to think you are already on cyber Big Brother? This is a 24-7 chat fest with pics, live cam, rhp regulars admonishing , grandstanding, flirting, big noting, saying how fabulous they are, bickering, playing dancing doonas and turkey slaps, showing off, tears, laughter etc.We even have our own Big Brother (otherwise known as the Moderator)...who warns us, tells us what we can or cannot do or say.The only real difference, on RHP there is no $250,000 prize at the end of it all.

Quite a few of the people here are more real....not all but definitely some are more than plastic personalities duelling it out for a prize :)

No computer or smart phones in Big Brother. That would mean missing all the juicy action and fascinating people here in the real world of RHP. You guys are priceless, each and every one of you.Mado

Had to think about this before I answered.. If I were a housemate I dont really know how I would react. With my personality, I doubt I could be locked away for any great length of time. The only thing that would keep me interested is linking up with one of the sexy females. Whats the point of locking yourself away with gorgeous girls if you cant get together and make the most of it. ? Besides' I dont suffer fools easily and have a very low tolerance which would be my undoing.

On one of my Sydney jaunts. I actually glad I didn't get in, I'd probably punch that blonde, curly haired dude in the nose on the first day!

Was first shown in The Netherlands (another thing we have to thank the Dutch for) in 1999, while I was living elswhere. When I moved back the hype hadn't died down yet, and I wondered what I had missed. I didn't get it then, and still don't. All up, I probably watched two whole episodes in the last 14 years. Though I certainly would have tuned in for paintme.

by some catastrophic world-ending event, I found myself on BB, (seriously, I *don't* have the personality for it..), I'd be the one sneaking under the radar, not being noticed until I wanted to be.I will cop to watching the odd episode - my ex was really into it - but I just didn't get it.

Id be booted of first for sure!! I'd be asking if everyone had brushed their teeth, correcting their grammar, giving swimming tips, complaining about the snoring, perving on the hot ex army guy ( so ive been told) ahem, and giving myself headaches every day from constant eye rolling!

With nothing to do ALL day but talk to each other it would be a real struggle to maintain a persona that wasn't your own. It would take a psychopath to be able to hide yourself from everyone so well. I don't think anyone is fake but I think people are douche bags on there.I would struggle not to talk about all my swinging experiences. Getting so close to people and swapping stories and having to sit back all quiet. I'd go mad.Loving the fake marriage challenge, easy real hook up in the world. Forced to act married with a hot girl, too easy. Of course its going to lead to real feelings.

I need to spread my wings and take off, and I like my independence and introvert time too much, that I'd never make it in anyway. While I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend in Adelaide for the V8 Supercars this year, I had a massive social overload by the end of it, and I wasn't even confined to the one building lol - Posted from rhpmobile

Why is everyone so negative about BB. ? Its only a show and I noticed some posters knock it only to go on and relate to someone or something that happened in there' so they must be watching.. ?I'd love to have the type of personality to go in there and experience the whole thing.. but I don't. I get claustrophobic in small cluttered areas as it is, so being in there with a mob of highly hysterical people would do me. But if I did get in ( knowing I wouldnt last ) .. my goal would be to lay the sexy one from Darwin.. If that happened first' I might hold my tounge and last abit longer...

Don't they pretty much always pick young people? There is no real diversity in the house. Although I only watched the first season, have never watched it again.

Quoting 'Meeka100' Don't they pretty much always pick young people? There is no real diversity in the house. Although I only watched the first season, have never watched it again. Since it went over to Channel 9, it's a little less risque, and there's more diversity in the age groups. Buuuut, I've only heard that, and not planning on watching any of it - I have far more creative things to do

Ive watched episodes here and there over its life span, but I'd say something that would offend not only the housemates but half the world, and would throw me out to then deal with that BS intwrview and then be made a scapegoat by the media. But I'd love to see the reaction of the girls in there if guys decided to play the fart game, or just burped and all that. Unless its all edited....so whats the point then right?- Posted from rhpmobile

Yes , it is only a TV program. And Yes, there are many other's that are equally bad. And i don't watch those either! Garbage In......Garbage Out!   I'm constantly irritated by people saying "I don't have time to read, I don't have time for ....... this or that" Everyone on the face of this earth is gifted with the same 24 hours in the day.   The average australian watches 25 hours of TV per week - that's 25 hours that could be invested in learning a language, educating yourself, learning a musical instrument, painting or even perhaps having sex!   I don't have time is the adult equivalent of "the dog ate my homework"

Hi, Most of my day and night is taken up with most or similar things you mentioned. As much as I love my work, I need to shut down at the end of the day. So if I find anything light hearted that distracts my attention for awhile , I just take it.. That goes for any show on TV... not only BB..

Gotta love that the most vocal, anti reality show opinions in this thread, also happen to be the ones that post, in every thread, all day long, about every little thing that gets dragged up on these forums. "Go out and socialise rather than watch big brother" they say, as they multitask between three chatrooms so they can partake in whining and moaning, and eagerly await new replies here.... http://redhotpie.com.au/topten/RedHotPie-Memes-Checked-RedHotPie
