It is all too easy to get thrush in your mouth and I dont think that would be a pleasant experience. New born babies often get it in thier mouths. I know how itchy and how much it drives you crazy when you get it down below...imagine that sensation inside your mouth? Ooooooh nasty!

LOLMeeka xx well said Meeka and true you can get thrush in your entire mouth not just on your tounge and it can be just as hard to get rid of it. Not that i have had thrush in my mouth but small children can get thrush when being bottle fed. Mr Zsuza

Even though thrush is very common... I think it is common courtosey to let partners know if you are having an episode or just not engage in any sort of sexual activity until it is gone.

Does Thrush mean you're not healthy or clean ? - NOI remember one of our babies, with their episode of thrush, took a while to remedy. She got it from breast thrush.Tart_Du_Jour - If your partner is aware - well enjoy it.I'm guessing you do - if it reoccurs often, it's worth checking with your Doc.

I never say no to Oral ... It is my obsession But in saying that if I had Vaginal Thrush ... I wouldn't allow him to go down ... no one wants to end up with thrush in the mouth ... Passing it on ... is not cool Thrush is often caused by Antibiotics ... or even simply being run down

To keep things simple... from the mouth to the bum is one long tube.... so naturally if you get thrush in your mouth it's going to track down your entire gastric system... thrush in your gut and around your anus wouldn't be so fun either... plus there are plenty of STI's that mimic thrush so even if you think it's just a harmless case, it may actually be something a bit more sinister :( JMO

Fungal episodes hmmm.... Well I suppose some like smegma too.... As long as we are into cheese how about toe cheese... Foot fetishists would be aware of this fungal delight... I am more aware of oral thrush as its a big problem among cancer patients leading to moouth ulcers and making it hard to eat and maintain body weight during and after chemo. All said and done I'm not too into fungii unless its on toast with snags and eggs. Mike

its a good idea also for the partners of gals who are dealing with recurring thrush episodes, to also be checked out...they may be the one responsible for her discomfort......and may have the candida albicans yeast strain present on their body, or within their mouth...and never display symptoms. its that kinda thing. by going the whole oral and sex route while experiencing a thrush episode...you risk exposing not just your partner, but anyone else who you, or they , come in contact with..

I wouldn't make anyone go down on me if had any sort of problem down there that could make the experience unpleasant for them, it would ruin my enjoyment of their service. I would expect any CONSIDERATE person to do the same.

Vaginal thrush is a fungal infection from Candida fungus and is medically known as Candidiasis. It mostly is not sexually obtained but may be an STD as well. Women can get it from stress, imbalanced vaginal PH, vaginal products they are intolerant to, change in immune function, having sex with different men (not an STD but because they have different body flora). In short any disruption in the vagina.Men can get thrush in their penis as well if they have sex with a woman with thrush. Lucky for them this is rare because the fungus prefers a dark and wet environment. So yes washing after fucking, prevent penile thrush if in any case the woman has thrush.Non medicinal cure would be yes yoghurt or the drinks with lactobacilli. There is lactobacilli intravaginal pessary. Medications would be clotrimazole, nystatin and other anti-fungals. I prefer the natural way.

Having thrush isnt just about oral, you shouldnt have any sexual contact with others. Men may not contract thrush as easilly as women, but men also often show no signs of thrush and hence keep passing it back to the women. For a woman, if you have thrush, a quick one dose tablet from the chemist will fix it and for the horny girls it only means a few days of no sexual contact! Well worth it if your a sexually sensible adult. I once tried the 'natural' way with the yoghurt and I can say it burnt and stung so much I couldnt get to the shower fast enough to wash it away. I pefer natural but its certainly not for everyones body, and depending on what type of thrush ** NOTE ** Things like body chocolates and other sweet foods change the PH levels of the vagina and can cause thrush also. So if your in a relationship and your partner gets thrush suddenly, dont assume the worst, there is ample ways a woman can have thrush and not just through sexual contact. Dont forget if you contract any STD, you should go and tell all your partners so they can get checked out. I am astounded at the amount of male profiles when it asks about practicing safe sex they answer ' if required' .... hope your willing to face up to explaining an STD to all your bedfellows!

Mainly it is not but yes it can be when it is passed on to a male making him a carrier then passed on to another woman. When you get oral thrush from going down on a vagina with thrush, yes it is an STD. I did my STI training for 18 months, by the way.

Hi! Tart_Du_Jour Thanks for the Topic.. I agree with the other replies it's naturally occuring ,Highly contageous generally your body fluids are too alkaline which allows it to flourish . It can be relieved by not having any sex ual Play. Thaking PH balancing evo vaginal capsules as directed and inserting Yoghurt in your Vagina usuallty on a tampon or eat the Yoghurt for the Mouth .I use them regularly, they've kept my PH level Balanced so I don't tend to get Vaginal/Mouth thrush as I used to after Antibiotics.. When I have it My Vagina swells a little. but mainly sore and a bit itchy .. My mouth is sore especially on my tongue. red patches It's also coated in a white milky flora much like tiny caulieflower tops..It tends to go down my throat, so very sore there too. Yoghurt relieves it and daily capsules like Innerhealth plus assist in maintaining the balance too.. Sp Definite No to oral or Intercourse when you have thrus.. Cheers Lu :)

Yes, you can pass thrush or this yeast infection onto people through sexual contact but you do not get thrush as a result of having sex as other sexually transmitted diseases. Meeka
